You do realize he just passed a semi, right? I always make a point to give a few car lengths of space to a slower braking vehicle before changing lanes because of something you might be forgetting--driving defensively. If you time it, that car was probably tailgating and cut in front of the semi with probably a car length and a half at most.
@@martinprovo2389 First off the cammer was driving like a maniac, 19 mph over the speed limit. He should have never been passing the other truck to begin with. If the car could pass the other truck, move to the right lane, and then pass the cammer on the right, then change back to the left lane and brake check the cammer, then the cammer had more then enough time to get his ass back in the right lane. @@MaxZomboni Man, you must have a bad driving record. Firstly, Accounting for the sped up video, he was only in that lane for 2-3 seconds, which is a NORMAL amount of time to ensure a safe distance between the truck to change lanes so it doesn't cause any issues incase something comes up ahead-- so taking those 2-3 seconds, that car shot the gap and probably got in front of the semi with only one or two car lengths, and didn't give the truck a legitimate chance to move before becoming a Todler-800. Secondly, you think making controlled lane changes to pass a slower moving vehicle and not driving erratically is driving like a maniac? Sure thing, you probably have citations for driving 30 under on the highway with that logic. Thirdly, are you from California? There were no speed limit signs in the video, where do you get 19mph over the limit from? I know, your bunk logic. Truck was driving 73mph on average, you're telling me a highway has an odd limit of 54 mph? 😂 Did you really think throwing random numbers, unsubstantiated claims, and TRYING TO DEFEND a brake checker for doing that RIGHT AHEAD of a semi truck is going to change anyone's opinion? I hope you don't drive often with that kind of judgement.
Pull over between the parked cars, MAYBE. There's debate as to how safe that move is particularly with following traffic. In this kind of situation, where car doesn't necessarily have a safe opportunity to pass, it's legal (at least in my area) to take the full lane until it becomes safe for the car to pass--though as a matter of not making the imbeciles mad (AKA not getting homicided by vehicles), most of the two-wheel community will try to pin themselves as close as they think is safe to the parked cars and hope that nobody doors them/the car doesn't knock them into the cars, unless they're in a large group. But there's a second problem: Driver doesn't know hand signals. Which he'll need if his turn signals burn out. (Not sure cyclist does either, though--he signaled a right turn when he was stopping, at least by the signals I know.)
@@erichusmann5145 I always use full lane on my ebike lol. especially near a stop sign or intersection I always use a full lane, better safety, than to have someone pull next to you and turn and cut you off. @chappell721 didn't see motion once it was up. Typically that's a right turn signal position, but if his fist is closed it's an equipment operator's stop signal. (Typical road user stop signal is hand down, flat, palm pointing back.)
In my personal opinion, and this is without knowing what kind of bike he was riding, but it looked like it was possibly a mountain bike which if it was, he seemed to have it in a lower gear so he’s moving slow and pedaling fast. If he had it in a higher gear he could’ve been moving quicker in which case the car driver probably wouldn’t have had anything to complain about. #3 2:08 The biker is following the correct law for BC. perhaps the cammer should go back to basics and re-learn their hand signals and how to share the road with bike traffic.
And then he goes and uploads the video, thinking he's in the right, while literally admitting he probably shouldn't have a license since he doesn't remember the things that got him his license.
The idiot driver clearly has never driven in an urban environment as it is common to have narrow roads with parked cars and low speed limits with cyclists on the road. Traffic cop seeing this would have issued a reckless driving criminal citation.
The cyclist in this video did nothing wrong. He was staying out of the "door zone" of the parked cars and he has a right to take the lane. And he signaled when the garbage truck was baking up. Totally legal, totally safe how he was riding.
Um, that was a right turn signal, and he didn't turn right. A stopping signal is the left arm bent 90 degrees with the forearm pointing down to the road.
@@FirstLastOne that could easily just be a hand wave. Most cyclists will just point to where they're going. Since you don't have to stick your arm out of a window it doesn't make sense to use automotive hand signals that many people no longer understand.

So nobody could see him until they were right on top of him. The truck is still at fault because they absolutely weren't paying attention and never used the breaks. But even if they had seen the stopped car and slammed on their brakes, I'm thinking they still make contact. Even after getting brake checked the idiot cammer still can't take a hint

Stop making excuses for left lane campers.
Did you really think throwing random numbers, unsubstantiated claims, and TRYING TO DEFEND a brake checker for doing that RIGHT AHEAD of a semi truck is going to change anyone's opinion?
I hope you don't drive often with that kind of judgement.
First guy was blushing
So... the cyclist should stop why??
That person should not be driving for that ignorance.

@@erichusmann5145 that looked like more of a wave to me TBH.
#1 0:14 Notice how the cammer is in the center of his lane, but the Ram's lights are lined up with the pillar and not directly behind the cammer. 0:18 Then the Ram's lights are lined up directly behind the cammer. The cammer 100% cut off the Ram.
