Had these podcasts not produced, I and some of my family members may not have read the whole Bible and may not have understood the doctrine of the Catholic Church even though we're cradle Catholics. So I have finished my first journey through the Catechism In A Year with Father Mike Schmitz on this Tuesday, December 31, 2024. I am just so thankful to Father Mike and the entire team at Ascension Press, who worked to bring this project to life. Honestly, I can't thank Father Mike Schmitz enough for leading me and everyone else, not only on this journey through the catechism, but also through the Bible in a Year, which I just finished year #2. It is truly amazing! Words can't say how much I truly enjoy this gift of The Catechism of the Catholic Church. Tomorrow I will be starting Year 2. May God bless Father Mike and everyone that has helped to bring this blessing, not only into my life, but also the lives of thousands of others! God bless! Vivat Jesus!

This was such a blessing to spend this time with Fr. Mike. I have been able to make some many connections and really understand our faith in a new light. There were will be times that if I need to refer to the Catechism I can go to that day and hear Fr. Mike’s commentary. Now I feel called to go through BIAY again and just listen. It was a personal journey to understand what it means to be Roman Catholic, and what my relationship means to God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Church. I pray for you, and all our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, through the intercession of Mary. Amen. I wish more time could have been spent on the importance of praying the rosary, and what role that can play in our lives, this saving prayer, in adoration of God, and prayer in the conversion of the world to God, and Christ. I used to read the Catechism exactly as Fr. Mike described (I think) in a very early episode, like an encyclopedia, and therefore I was amazed at the beauty of the 'whole' when taken all in! It is January 1, 2024. Thanks be to God for Fr. Mike Schmitz and the whole Ascensions team. I am so grateful for CIY (which I've just finished) and BIY (which I finished over a year ago), for these podcasts (I enjoyed them on RUclips because I could see the words) have reshaped my religious life and have fortified my return to the RC Church. I'm also so grateful for "The Chosen" gospel drama series. I will continue to give money to Ascension, supporting also Angel Studios. My next podcast will be St. Augustine's "Confessions" with Fr. @BitsyBee Hi. "Catholic Classics " podcast's Season 2 covers St. A's Confessions. Season 1 is a journey into that which makes for "a devout life." I'm an old Christian (though I sometimes feel like I've just begun) and I think I know what God wants me to do regarding daily devotions, so I've chosen to start with Season 2. Maybe next year I'll go through BIY again, and following that, maybe CIY again. Let's say a prayer for each other, that we'll discern God's particular will for us and dedicate ourselves to it. Fr. Mike, thank you so much for your love and for walking us through the CIY. I couldn't have done it without you reading and explaining God's love for us. This last section on prayer made me realize how much God, our Father loves and cares for us. Since I became Catholic 13 years ago, I have grown to live Jesus, Mary and the Holy Spirit but God the Father seemed not as approachable, as if sitting on a throne ruling His kingdom. But my Image of Him has changed to a Father, whose lap I can go sit on like a little girl, and talk to Him without reserve. It is a great feeling in my heart and soul. Thank you Fr Mike. You are the gift God sent to all us listeners, that in 2023 we'll start this journey of transformation and come to know God and His love for us. God Bless you, always ❤🙏❤️

Through the prayer OUR FATHER, We are able to give God praise and recognize that we want his name to be sanctified, known, loved and adored. We pray because we realize that we have this incredible dependence on God who wants us to bring and entrust everything we have to him. We trust in God like children, knowing that he will give us exactly what we need. Through the Four Pillars of the catechism which we have learned, we need to have a conversion of heart to make it impactful in our lives as Christians, cos God loves us so much. It matters to him how we worship him and live our daily lives in relation to our family, work, and every other thing about us. We do matter to God as we are worth his very Life, Death and Resurrection. And so we say AMEN and AMEN. ❤❤❤
I have completed my CIY today . Thank you Fr Mike and team for making this happen for me. I have learned so much and this has been extremely helpful for me. I have changed my way of thinking for the better. Also thank you Fr Mike for praying for us and I will continue praying for you and the rest of the world. I really don't know what I am going to be doing because I already did two years in a row ( 2021 and 2022 ) The Bible in a year podcast with Father Mike Schmitz and Ascension press 🙏 My most favourite Book 📖 of all time is my Catholic Bible I have different types of Bibles ( I have like seven different ones ). I have three different types of the Catechism of the church, I have the council of Trent, the Baltimore one and the Ascension press one 😀😊

I love that part when he said at the end that I know how much he loved me back then by looking at the crucifix. And I know how much God still loves me now in receiving the Eucharist. This year’s long journey has been transformative. I’ve gone through medical issues. I also made a Marian Consecration & shared all the readings for it for 33 days. If you want to see them we started July 13-Aug 15, Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I received wonderful support from my new friends here & hope I’ve provided the same. May we always do Your will foe our lives and plant the seeds of faith in all those we encounter, especially within our own families. I wish more time could have been spent on the importance of praying the rosary, and what role that can play in our lives, this saving prayer, in adoration of God, and prayer in the conversion of the world to God, and Christ.

I am having a hard time clicking 'play' on this last episode. I feel like I'm losing the voice of a dear friend in Fr. Mike and the Catechism. So grateful for this project! I used to read the Catechism exactly as Fr. Mike described (I think) in a very early episode, like an encyclopedia, and therefore I was amazed at the beauty of the 'whole' when taken all in! Thank you Fr. Mike and Ascension Press!
It is January 1, 2024. Thanks be to God for Fr. Mike Schmitz and the whole Ascensions team. I am so grateful for CIY (which I've just finished) and BIY (which I finished over a year ago), for these podcasts (I enjoyed them on RUclips because I could see the words) have reshaped my religious life and have fortified my return to the RC Church. I'm also so grateful for "The Chosen" gospel drama series. I will continue to give money to Ascension, supporting also Angel Studios. My next podcast will be St. Augustine's "Confessions" with Fr. Gregory and Fr. Jacob-Bertrand, on Spotify. May God continue to bless the work of all those visible and all those behind the scenes. Again, thanks! @BitsyBee Hi. "Catholic Classics " podcast's Season 2 covers St. A's Confessions. Season 1 is a journey into that which makes for "a devout life." I'm an old Christian (though I sometimes feel like I've just begun) and I think I know what God wants me to do regarding daily devotions, so I've chosen to start with Season 2. Maybe next year I'll go through BIY again, and following that, maybe CIY again. Let's say a prayer for each other, that we'll discern God's particular will for us and dedicate ourselves to it. Fr. Mike, thank you so much for your love and for walking us through the CIY. I couldn't have done it without you reading and explaining God's love for us. This last section on prayer made me realize how much God, our Father loves and cares for us. Since I became Catholic 13 years ago, I have grown to live Jesus, Mary and the Holy Spirit but God the Father seemed not as approachable, as if sitting on a throne ruling His kingdom. But my Image of Him has changed to a Father, whose lap I can go sit on like a little girl, and talk to Him without reserve. It is a great feeling in my heart and soul. Thank you Fr Mike. You are the gift God sent to all us listeners, that in 2023 we'll start this journey of transformation and come to know God and His love for us. God Bless you, always ❤🙏❤️

Through the prayer OUR FATHER, We are able to give God praise and recognize that we want his name to be sanctified, known, loved and adored.
We pray because we realize that we have this incredible dependence on God who wants us to bring and entrust everything we have to him. We trust in God like children, knowing that he will give us exactly what we need.
Through the Four Pillars of the catechism which we have learned, we need to have a conversion of heart to make it impactful in our lives as Christians, cos God loves us so much. It matters to him how we worship him and live our daily lives in relation to our family, work, and every other thing about us. We do matter to God as we are worth his very Life, Death and Resurrection. And so we say AMEN and AMEN. ❤❤❤
I have completed my CIY today . Thank you Fr Mike and team for making this happen for me. I have learned so much and this has been extremely helpful for me. I have changed my way of thinking for the better. Also thank you Fr Mike for praying for us and I will continue praying for you and the rest of the world. It was touching to hear Fr Mike say that he will continue to pray for everyone till he can no more. A true dedicated priest given to us by Jesus. May The Lord protect you always.

Father Mike: I am reflecting on the year gone by, listening to the Catechism in a Year podcast every day in 2023, and Bible in a Year every day in 2022, and even though I attended Catholic grade school, Catholic high school, and Catholic university education, I never had as completely consistent a teacher as you have been. My most favourite Book 📖 of all time is my Catholic Bible I have different types of Bibles ( I have like seven different ones ). I have three different types of the Catechism of the church, I have the council of Trent, the Baltimore one and the Ascension press one 😀😊

I love that part when he said at the end that I know how much he loved me back then by looking at the crucifix. And I know how much God still loves me now in receiving the Eucharist.

This year’s long journey has been transformative. I’ve gone through medical issues. I also made a Marian Consecration & shared all the readings for it for 33 days. If you want to see them we started July 13-Aug 15, Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I received wonderful support from my new friends here & hope I’ve provided the same. I’m going to miss these daily doses of catechism.
