Many thanks to Keith for enabling these really interesting and entertaining vlogs we have been enjoying over the past few days. Great Hollywood History - Great vlog Jordan.
You make it so easy to watch and listen to your videos Jordan. I love listening to you as your sharing your adventures with us. You've taken me places I'll never see and I thank you for that. You be safe out there!
Jordan, you have an incredible story telling gift. I always come here for your stories from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Thank you for always taking me back in time.
Hi Jordan, so cool that you got to see the sound stage where the 'Wizard of Oz' was filmed and then Cary Grant's office. How nice that they have named these buildings after their fabulous stars. Great vlog Jordan.
That was awesome, Jordan! Thanks to you and Keith for sharing. So cool to see those cars, especially the Breaking Bad duo. They really should be in a museum someplace, indoors and protected.
This was great. Loved seeing all the behind-the-scenes things. Thanks to Keith Coogan for showing us around. I really enjoyed this. Thanks again and take care.
Very cool. Fun to see the game show sets & hear about the quirky stuff like the contestant floor moving up & down & Alex's sheet with the the X's for each square used. Really fun vlog!
So cool all that history! It was a fantastic video even though filming wasn't allowed. It's understandable. Wow Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow in that studio and of course my favorite franchise Star Wars recordings. I would have been floating...Steven Spielberg's couch! Breaking Bad vehicles. I am almost finished with that series. I never watched it when it came on AMC because I hate commercials. So glad Netflix has it. I'm completely hooked on this show! Currently on the last season.
Thank you Jordan for the cool vlog! They should have named that old school building after Keith's Grandpa.Right? I kept thinking Sony studios Gee I wonder why I've never been there ? Lol!! Now I remember when I was about ten years old that I went to MGM Studio Tours with my grandma in1968. She lived in Pasadena . I would go twice a year to stay with her on the Greyhound bus . We would go on Grayline tours to all the studios Disney, Wax museum,Knotts. We were even on a tour of the stars homes when the news of the Sharon Tate murders broke! Our driver told us to put our heads down if bullets started flying as there were many officers swarming the area! Wow memories...
Keith Coogan is AWESOME! We did that tour with him in the summer of 2022. At the time the Goldbergs was in production and we got to tour the set. It was a great experience I will remember for the rest of my life.
My mind is blown right now. Earlier today my parents were watching an older cop drama show and Lochlyn Munro was on it and he played the bad guy on the movie Downhill Willie so I told my parents about that movie and how goofy it was. It blew my mind just now that Kieth Coogan is in the video with you who was the lead actor in Downhill Willie. 2 different random run ins thinking about that movie in 1 day. I haven’t thought about that movie in years. I have it in VHS around here somewhere and I’m determined to watch it tonight.
I did the Sony tour some years ago. It's probably changed a little bit. They probably don't let you videotape because they want people to take the tour ❤ when my daughter was in Culver high school they would always go see tapings of Jeopardy there.
Thank you Jordan ! For this video , I thought that the Wheel of Fortune , Jeopardy studios supposed to be huge .Thank you for the footage of ECTO 1 The Busters 1 and 2 , films .
We actually took this tour last October. I got to meet Keith, he was in the movie Don't Tell mom the babysitter's dead. "Dishes are done man" that was him. He wasnt our tour guide but we met him during our lunch at the studio restaurant. I love that each tour varies. We got to go inside Ivan Reitman's ghostbuster's building. The office inside looks like a museum. So much fun. It was a film day for he game studios so we missed that part. We did go inside a Folly studio, that was so cool. All in all, Its a smaller studio, now that most of the studio got sold off, no back lot, but if you love old Hollywood like we do, its worth it.
This was amazing Jordan Ii love as good as it gets movie 🎥🍿,I i cannot believe how long Vanna White been on wheel of fortune . I miss Alex Trebek so cool 😎👍 thank you so much
Thank you Jordan, that was a GREAT video. After seeing the video I decided I would rather take that tour than Universal studio tour. Well, I would like to do both but if I could only do one then that's the one.
My sister and brother-in-law leased their black ambulance instead of selling it to them for Ghostbusters. They had no idea how popular the movie would be. It's the one they used in the beginning of the movie, black with gray splotches of paint on the sides. They brought them to NYC to watch some of the filming. Very cool!
I learned an interesting piece of trivia a while back about those makeup trailers. Star Waggons is actually a company created by Lyle Waggoner, the guy who played Steve Trevor on Wonder Woman. A cool business idea as all the studios were in need of trailers.
My mother and I saw a live Wheel of Fortune in Denver Convention Center back in the late 90s. They had 3 shows. It was college day and the winner won a car but had to go to the lobby as there wasn't enough room on the stage for it.
My family and I took these studio tours when we stayed in Hollywood a few years ago. If you are a movie buff... those are the places to see. Of course, I had to see Charlie Chaplin's studio, even just from the street was great. Several things we visited were done only because I had seen them in your videos before I went. That was my second time in Hollywood.
Hi Jordan, thank you for the tour of the sony pics studio, it was very interesting. Especially Jeopardy we watch that every night. Also wanted to ask are you car hunting yet and how's it going? Thank you again for all you videos.
Jeopardy is my favorite game show. It great to see the set. I always try to answer in the form of a question when watching the show. I would watch Wheel Of Fortune, too. The best part of the show is seeing Vanna White's fashion.
Stage 27 actual experience....I lived in the L.A. area for decades and worked a number of different jobs. During this period--due to my friendship with some longstanding Teamsters--I worked on a dozen+ films (Some union, some non-union...Unfortunately, I was never able to officially join the Teamsters....Long story...Union rules/requirements I was unable to meet). One of these films (My first or second...A forgettable straight to video) had us on the MGM/Sony lot for a few days...Our first lunch was catered inside the rarely unused stage 27...My Teamster buddy surprised me with the following: Teamster(T) Do you have any idea what happened in here? Me(M) I'm assuming a number of great films. (T) That's correct....One of the biggest was "The Wizard of Oz"...They shot Munchkin Land and parts of the yellow brick road in here. (M) That's cool (Or something to that effect) (T) It gets better...You're actually sitting (above) where part of the yellow brick road once stood. Although the last line above seems incredulous, it's true. My Teamster buddy's dad was a MGM lot carpenter and electrician for nearly forty years. He was employed there (during the time of shooting) and had been in and out of stage 27 on numerous occasions.
Also, I got to see the original host of Jeopardy back in 1974 in. New York City. We were watching all the celebrities going in for the premiere of The Great Gatsby and Art Fleming and his wife were trying to get through the crowd and he said "Why can't they clear this damn crowd".
I would love for you to do a video on the Beatrice wood center of arts in Ojai, Ca. Explore her connection with the movie, titanic and the character Rose is based on her.
Seems like the studios are restrictive on recording just in case any of the info could be historically incorrect. He did tell us on the tour that the legal dept at one point had to re-research what films and scenes where filmed on what stages because many of the signs they had outside the studios were incorrect.
@@DazewithJordantheLion I will say that I havent been to the studios in years since my days at ILM. Thank you for your road trips and journeys! Makes me want to revisit then all. When I went to Sony, most of the props were in the main lobby in the building used for Running Man and Last Action Hero. The blue Thunder Model was kinda in a cafe. The only thing we could take a picture of really was the Green Hornet car. I believe it was when the new Total Recall was released. So much has changed, for the better. Oh and the backdrop building was just a sweaty and steaming building that they were unrolling and restoring backdrops for upcoming features. I am so glad those guys are getting a new building.
Let me get this straight. A building that Judy Garland recorded the number 1 song ever recorded for a movie, according to The American Film Institute, Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz is named after Barbra Streisand? Makes sense to me.
Many thanks to Keith for enabling these really interesting and entertaining vlogs we have been enjoying over the past few days. Great Hollywood History - Great vlog Jordan.

Jeopardy has 43 Emmys, so far!!!❤❤❤

You did good young man 😮
Is it weird I was more excited when you said Keith’s name and then relation to Jackie lol
You saved me some money, I’ll I wanted to see, if I visited, was the Wheel of Fortune set. 👍🏼

The Star Waggons trailer company shown in the beginning of the video was started by Lyle Waggoner (rip) and was very profitable.
Weird to think that Vanna has been the letter turner since I graduated high school! I'm a Gramma now!😮
I really miss JAH! ❤
Where Kristy McNichol and the show Family was shot at .Thanks Jordan mm Pasadena...I ma subber.

Yeah, I had the same experience there.. no pictures for the most part.
