I love old Hollywood ty for this I didn’t get to do this tour when I was in California, this was so cool, I too loved the music man such a great movie.😎💕🐾
Warner Bros. 100 years of history and absolutely essential to motion pictures and animation. I always wanted to see the famous tour of the backlots. Thank you Jordan- you always find the best places to visit and we love being a part of your journey. ❤️☺️😊🥰🦩🌴☀️☺️😊
I did this tour last year! It was extremely detailed, too much to remember everything, so your video is bringing back a lot I'd forgotten. Great video!
I loved your videos with Noel Blanc. He had so many wonderful stories about his dad. I remember you and Noel had a hard time getting together. Lol. Great Video. Thanks for bringing us along. Take care.
So much information! What fun for you to see all of this & hear all the stories. You have such a great memory when it comes to all the movies! The tour looks very cool & it's nice to hear the tour guide was so nice. Thanks Jordan!
I took that tour back in 2007! I had the best time. I went to a filming of the Ellen Show early for check-in then walked to WB lot for the tour then went back to finish the Ellen show. Best day ever! I was so excited such a tv/movies fan and loved the different films and background sets. It think my favorite was seeing the friends set and being able to sit on the orange couch. Plus they were filming Oceans 13 and we got to see George Clooney in the distance for an outside scene. I need to take another trip to see it. I came from NH and was a tourist while my husband worked during the day. 😅. the Ellen show was fantastic! I was one of the whole audience that won a trip package to NOLA!
ill never get out to California or Hollywood to see where all the movies an tv shows at the warmer Bros back lot was filmed .Thank you Jordan for taking all us there . very cool 😎 the Mel Blanc was one my favorite video ,that you filmed. .
I spent some time on the Waltons set when I was a kid. Your tour brought back happy memories. Those Western and Midwestern streets were also used for Waltons scenes in Charlottesville, Boatright University, etc. The church was used a lot, and we often ate lunch on the steps of that gazebo, which was just a short walk from the soundstage. It’s cool that it’s still there - I have some pictures with the Waltons cast at that gazebo (we didn’t have camera phones back then, so I don’t have a lot of pictures). Most of the Waltons outdoor sets are gone now (house, school, Godsey’s store, etc). There’s now a parking garage where those sets were.
I was at the WB tour a few years ago, and I have to say I actually enjoyed watching your vlog at WB better as you gave great descriptions and made it more interesting than walking through it by myself. Great job!
I loove this ! Thank you 😊😊😊Always been fascinated with WB going back to the golden ages with Errol Flynn, Olivia De havilland , Jack Carson, Dennis Morgan , etc.
That was a great video Jordan, it brought back a lit of memories for me as my Dad was a set painter and decorator in the 60's, 70's and early 80's in all the major Hollywood studios working on films such as Blade Runner, Ghost Busters, The Blues Brothers and many, many more, sometimes we were lucky enough to go with him and got to walk around the back lots and got to go to a couple of wrap up parties one if which was for the Blues Brothers which my mom and Dad got to attend. I have an autograph book full of autographs such as Roddy McDowall, Christopher Lee, Darren McGavin to name but a few. At the time I don't think we appreciated much as it was just Dad going to work but now I can't help myself to mention it at every opportunity. 😁
The Friends fountain was moved from the Warner Bros. Ranch just a few years ago as the Ranch was sold. It was just a few blocks down from the Hollywood Way gate. So many more classic film and television shows were shot on those same sets. If you are into older films, let your tour guide know you are interested so they can tell you more. I worked there for 28 years and never got over what a historic place it is.
This was so cool - a coworker had been multiple times because her mother doesn’t live far. But, after your vlog, I really want to go and take that tour.
Awesome Jordan 😎 it's going to be torn down the back lot 😢 but time changes everything. So many others has vlog the Warner studio backlot so to have keep sake lol. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe. 📸
@@DazewithJordantheLion Awesome. I point it out to people when I watch Monster Squad. It is painted differently now. It was the same paint job as Growing Pains (during Monster Squad). Great video! Keep on with the great vlogging.
I loved this so much. I took this tour about 10 years ago and it was so fun! I remember the places they filmed the original Batman scenes, where Spiderman kissed the girl in the rain, etc.
This was AWESOME ! THANK YOU, Jordan ! I Love seeing the Movie Studios and Sets. You and Adam the Woo do a Great job of showing these places. You guys cover Details and explain the subjects so well. 😊
Hi jordn, its a pity you cant get over to WB ranch before they knock it down .That's where they use to have the friends fountain .Also the griswald's /wanda vision (same house)and next door lethal weapon house .Also the shop from gremlins where he buys gizmo. Check it out before goes ,was giving the set plants away free, lol.
Jordan, Great video. My family and I took the same tour 2 years ago and I think we had to same guide. She was extremely knowledgeable on the gilmore girls sets not so much on the older movies and filming locations. She new some but one thing that she didnt mention but I prompted her was from the Batman TV series. When you see the dynamic duo run up the steps of city hall to see commissioner gordon. on your video at the 17:46 timestamp if you see the building to the far left with the pillars. That is or was where the dynamic duo ran up the steps. Thanks you actually pointed out serval other classic movie locations that were missed and I wasnt aware with on the tour.
Great vlog! I saw the building that I worked in during part of my time there, which is called “The Bridge Building.” They have a really nice movie theater on the lot and would show free movies for employees, both WB movies and other studio’s movies.
Hi Jordan, just watched your video from 6 years ago about Rudolph Valentino's home, or where it used to be. You were saying that a plaque should at least be left there to memorialize it and Mr. Valentino and that you were gonna check into it. Have you ever done so cause I for one would love to see a plaque put there as well as his other fans who visit the RUclips channels about him! Any chance you will revisit this again?
👍💯%❤👏👏👏. Thanks Jordan. We loved this. How is Jah and Papaw doing. We started the Route 66. But had stop most complained it was too hot. I lost a aunt and uncle. But my husband said we could still do it in october when it cool down. My twin was cool with it, but the other girls were just not into it. I thought it would be cool to take the 3 girls, but they was not into it. If only they had spoke up before we started, I'd left them home. All was not lost. I had fun. Enjoyed the places we did see. But I ain't to finish. I just don't want to do it alone. Thanks for all of your Vlogs.👍. Love, respect and positivity always. Neita.✌🕯💕🖖🙂🤗👋👣.
Jordan - I loved this tour and the museums you've visited. So much great history. Did you ever end up buying anything on the way out? Blessings - Judith 🎵🎭
The fifth soundstage named after a show was The Ellen Show! I did the tour a few years ago. Went inside the Big Bang Theory soundstage and inside the Ellen soundstage!
Love those tours! A shame they won't let you take video. At least they let you take photos. When I went to Paramount, they wouldn't let us take any photos at all.
First went on the Warner tour when Friends was still being filmed. Was a Friday. In the fall. An off week or break. No shows being filmed. Guide said usually Friday was very busy final tapings. Was lucky to go in 9 diff sound stages. Guide said very slim chance of that happening. He was glad to take us. Gilmore Girls. The grandparents mansion. Their side yard. Furniture was all covered with cloths. We sat at the dinner table. Fridge was functional for the crew. The details and sizing of the kitchen alone. Unreal furniture some must have been 100 years old. Did get to go on the friends set. Workers were resetting it. We did sit on that couch. Had a cloth cover. They encouraged us to take photos. Everyone Loves Raymond. Drew Carry. Quite a few new shows had never heard of. The town square. The diner Luke ran on Gilmore Girls. There was all sorts of Halloween props placed around the town square. Lighting set up for filming to take place yet the next week. Went back three other times. Of course it wasn’t the same nor as interesting. But still neat. Did get to go on the set of the Big Bang Theory and see things up close. Haven’t been back to Warner’s since 15’.
Hi Jordan, I was born in Culver City and raised in Montana. My maternal grandparents lived for decades in a house a few blocks from MGM. Because of this, I spent many Xmas holidays and several full summer vacations with them and saw/visited L.A. tourist spots and destinations. In my late teens I moved to Culver City and lived and worked there and/or used it as a hub (for extensive travels/adventures elsewhere) for well over thirty years. Because of all of the above, it's hard to surprise me. Yet, you manage to do it. This vlog and the L.A. police museum one have left me scratching my head and asking, "How did I manage to miss this?" lol Thanks for what you do and safe travels Mark K aka midnightmusicfan
