While that's true, it's important to keep in my mind that this is still only bullet. Had this been even a 10-minute Rapid game, Aman would've stood no chance and would've most likely been adopted himself.

I really don’t think so. You can maybe be down a queen in the middle of game against Aman and win because you’re getting a great position. But being done 9 points of material at 2500-2600+ level, is ridiculously tough. Especially in a bullet or blitz.
That is the case with almost any competitive game :) video games, sports or anything else you name it, the skill gap is insane. I’d say chess is up there tho if not the highest skill range of all games. You cannot quantify it objectively tho

Hey there are always people better at stuff. Yes they can beat lower rated players, but they struggle with same level opponents just as much as you do. Just enjoy the game. If you really want to improve then you need to study and analyze games a lot, which is not really fun for everyone. And Aman studies a lot, or at least did.
Ya the requirement to become a grandmaster is not only to play 20 years but also to play like 8 hours a day, constantly study, go over games with coaches, etc
I think they did that because saying 10 times makes the feat sound more achievable which in turn makes it less interesting(?). I mean that's not what I think but I think that's probably the logic behind the title

My bullet rating is 1800 and my blitz is 1900. There is no way Aman can beat me in blitz without queen. In 10 games I would win more than half of them. In bullet I cannot Judge how the result would be

As a 1800 bullet in Lichess this is painful to watch. That’s why these GMs are gm. But to be honest, Aman’s opponent is playing to passive and soft. Just my opinion. Full credit to him though
He's playing passive because he's scared and intimidated. If Aman is predicting your moves and crushing you in tactics you'd be scared to get a tactical position against him too.
not a god at chess or anything, but by looking at the move he played, he went to defend the h4 pawn so I could say he was trying to avoid a passed pawn on the h file. Or he was just mistaken.
The lower the time control the better for Aman. Any longer there is no chance he would have won all 10. Even in those the guy played terribly. He should have won at least 2 pretty easily.

@@rwooperwooper Qb2 picks up the rook on a1. White king moved on e2 and not on c2. If he gets checked on the 2nd row, he won't be able to go on the 3rd row because of the e4 pawn. So if the white king gets checked on the 2nd row he will have to go on the first row disconnecting the rooks.
To be fair, when you know you’re playing a GM and being streamed to thousands of people it definitely makes you nervous and play worse than you normally do

Some call it the hippo I believe. It's some sort of modern defence, I use it sometimes as an Owen defence variation. It's often a closed position

Pawn promotes to a knight isn't about winning, it's about sending a message.
Also its about winning without a queen which is the whole point of the challenge.

I think the 1800 would easily win if it was a rapid game. A grandmaster is a grandmaster, but a queen is a QUEEN.
