Baila, How to ask someone to Dance. What an excellent and inspiring video, to help us maximise our time on the dance floor, by helping us to get others to ask us to dance, or get others to accept our request for a dance. It's hard enough learning a few moves to use on the dance floor, but another challenge to get the opportunity to get the opportunity to do so. Thanks Baila for your helpful advice!

Usually once you are in the middle of the dance floor at the end of the music people will ask you to dance

I never reject any woman for a dance even if I’m dead tired or I’m not warmed up I do my best and that’s it

My salsa teacher taught us some tricks - for the men: don't ask. Simply walk straight up to the woman you want to dance with, smile, and present your hand, palm facing upwards. If she takes it, you dance, if she rejects it, you simply move your hand to her friend right next to her. And for women: if you end up dancing with someone and you really don't want to continue dancing - but don't want to reject him either - simply act as if someone accidentally stepped on your foot and you need to sit down for a while. He'll be dancing with someone else minutes later, and you can be available for a new partner.
    Voilá.

As a guy... I feel flattered when ladies ask me to danse. I will very rarely say no. I may state that I need a few minutes break (water break, towel off/cool down breaks, bathroom breaks... they are acceptable I hope). I usually state to come back in a few minutes.
The most amazing feeling is when a lady reserves a danse... Next Salsa, Bachata or whatever.

Guys, don't be shallow. If you're young and there's an older woman who looks like she's not been getting many dances, why not ask her. One dance won't hurt you.
Girls, don't be shallow. if you're young and experienced and an older man approaches you,
or a young man who's probably a beginner or improver asks you, why not give him one dance.
Five minutes out of your life won't kill you.
