I like how Cooler said "tonight I dine on Monkey soup" a reference to the Shredder " tonight I dine on Turtle soup"

The 'Permission to die' line was a reference to Bane in that Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises. And I absolutely love it.

The best part of that line was that this episode came out very soon after DKR came out in theatres.

The bird joke is two folds: it comes from the theme song Head-Chala, and it comes from episode 40 of DBZ Abridged by 16 who talks to that same bird. Toriyama has tori(bird) in its name, and is the name of the creator.
It goes more than two fold, actually. 1. Like you said, it's from the first theme of DBZ. (This movie came out before episode 40 of DBZA so that referenced this.) 2. Again, like you said, Toriyama is the creator of Dragon Ball. 3. You got half of it; "Tori" means bird, and "Yama" means mountain. So, the bird's name is basically "Mountain Bird". 4. Appropriate, considering Goku found the bird on a mountain. So, yeah. The joke is real meta and real simple.
Not to forget the "dinosaur that rides a ball", like what Android 16 exclaims about, is a reference to Toriyama's work "Dr. Slump" - Toriyama also showed up as a bird several times in that series, among other forms.

If you didn't know, TFS hates Icarus and make it a point to kill him in every movie.
In Deadzone he was part of Gohan's apple trip. And there were lots of gruesome imagery such as him bleeding from his eyes and appearing as just a skeleton, etc. In Lord Slug, after the world gets frozen over his skeleton can be seen outside Goku's house and Chi-chi says something about dragon soup or stew being ready. In this episode Goku constantly remarks how he wants to eat Icarus and then you get that episode in the credits. I think he gets attacked by one of the villains in Christmas Tree of Might but I have trouble remembering that movie.
I think you missed a joke when you were too busy appreciating a previous joke when Gohan leaves to get the Senzu beans. Goku asks Krillin, "What smells like dragon's breath?" And Krillin responds, "Shame Gokue, lots and lots of shame." And you'll remember Krillin woke up to Icarus licking him earlier thinking it was Maron.
When Cooler says, "Tonight I dine on money soup." It's actually a reference to Shredder from Ninja Turtles since his final form looks so much like him. And then they use the Dark Knight Rises Bane voice for the form since he has the mask covering his face. And the line you liked, "Then you have my permission to die." is actually Bane's line.
As everyone else has pointed out the Toriyama bird line is an homage to Akira Toriyama. Telling him to teach a dinosaur to ride a ball was a reference to some lyrics in Dragonball. And this scene is the origin of the callback joke 16 makes later on during the Android saga: "Hello bird. What is your name?" "Toriyama?" "I would love to see your dinosaur." "It does what?!"
The dinosaur on a ball is also a reference to Toriyama's older work, "Dr. Slump"

That cooler (er) line is from The Dark Knight Rises and Whiskers the wonder cat is an alternate dub name easter egg for Korin.
The "Not going anywhere for awhile? Grab a Snickers" was a reference to when he did the same thing to Frieza, going "I'm going to break you....like a Kit-Kat Bar!" xD
The bird joke is from the Android saga. 16 had a bird land on his finger. "Hello birdie. What is your name... Toriyama? I would love to see your dinosaur. ... IT DOES WHAT?"
No 27 is roughly accurate for Goku's age as this movie must have taken place during the 3 year training for the androids. Guessing Cooler didn't act on Frieza's death right away.

5 year timeskip to start of DBZ 23
11 months until Saiyan arrival then almost 2 months in the hospital and trip to namek. (10 days to fix Namkeian ship, 34 days to Namek for Gohan and crew, 6 days for Goku's trip)
so 24 by fight with Frieza.
Roughly a year passes until Trunks arrives and Goku returns so 25.
Train for 3 years puts him at 28.
Fun fact, the transformation Cooler used wasn't so much going in reverse. He defined the previous form (and by extension Frieza's Final Form) as "the third transformed state" and said that he found a stage beyond that. So if Cooler were canon to the official timeline, that would have put him at a level far beyond Frieza's Final Form. Which makes me wish he were canon so I could see him go Golden

My favorite joke is the" I fucking called it!" one. Also gohan's tail grows back multiple times in the movies for no reason. Another thing is Whiskers the Wonder was a name for Korin in a dub for DBZ. (God how many times am I going to edit this) both cooler and Frieza both shoot piccolo in heart/chest.(If I have to edit this comment again I'll going to implode) Goku used a candy bar joke when he broke Frieza's hand and used a Snickers before he killed Cooler.
After watching the dbz series videos by Android 17, that whiskers the wonder cat joke is 10 times funnier!
The "not going anywhere for a while? Grab a Snickers" is a reference to Goku's first super saiyan interaction with Freezer: "I'm going to break you...like a Kit Kat."
Just to clarify, cooler has a fifth form, he’s been in his fourth form(which is the same as freeza’s final form) the whole time up to his transformation

I'm not sure if you thought that last form Cooler used was the same as Frieza's second form going by what you said about going in reverse, but just in case, what Cooler used was a form that's past their normal final form, kind of like an early, non-canon version of Golden Frieza.
That's not a reverse transformation, cooler was in his final form, but was the 1st to find a secret 5th form

Friezas second form is not the same as coolers powered up form.
Friezas first 3 forms were debuffs, with the fourth form being his natural state.
Cooler started out in his natural state and powered up into his masked form, which, if frieza used the same thing, would be his fifth form.
The joke got called back to in the Cell Saga by Android 16.

Why'd you cut Piccolos best line? When he's electrified and goon#2 tries to gloat and Piccolo just says "gotcha bit*h" and drops him.
This movie is the first time I realized Korin and Yajerobe's relationship.
I think this movie was when they decided on their relationship.
Salza DID have the french voice in yhe English dub, but it was a bit exaggerated in this, also "I'll see you in hell cousin Jeice" is a refference to Salza and Jeice actually being realated.
