After the episode on TFS's stream, Lani and Taka were crying because there were about 34,000 people in chat to support them, and they were overwhelmed with emotion. That entire stream was a feels fest.
This really got me emotional. This is my favourite moment in Z. TFS really outdid themeselves with this one. Now, I wait for the Father Son Kamehameha.
That music in the end is a remix of the original Japanese soundtrack that happened during Gohan going SSJ2 you should check out that version it's called Tamashii Tai Tamashii

AirierGames I was lowering my expectations that the transformation would be in next episode but it happen this one and it was even better and they way it ended
I actually think he is not quite there yet. In the original version, he continues to power up after this scene, and then he is revealed after the cloud of smoke dissipates, and he has the electricity and his hair is even more spikey lol. Cell is literally shook in that scene. He is not *quite* there yet.

@@hebrew26commandmentspower55 yeah, I understand him not liking to fight as much as Goku, but it always takes someone getting hurt for him to stop being a coward, as cell puts it, and then in high school he's all like, you know I better dress ridiculously and be a super hero

ANDROID 16 does not have a soul, but… he was modeled after Gero’s son & given a similar personality (who was killed on the sidelines by Goku as a kid from a Kamehameha) & given a mission to kill Goku. Dr Gero wanted revenge & if he could have it through 16 it would’ve been the best irony for him but ultimately he sparks Gohan’s SS2 form to kill Cell, who *was* going to destroy Goku & friends. Reverse irony, Gero can never have his revenge… So, 16 doesn’t have a soul but his human counterpart does, who’s to say which afterlife he’s in inside the DBZ Lore… “How tragic.” - Nappa.
And it was at this point where Gohan finally grew a pair of balls. I love that scene when he goes Super Saiyan 2 so much and I agree Abridged dubbed or subbed this was easily one of the best moments in the entire series. Also I love this version of the song!
Man when I watched it I was laughing my ass off, it's so funny but I had to wait so long I remember binge watching dbza but then no more episodes were made until now
Finally! A reactor who had a proper reaction to Gohan's SSJ2 Transformation. TFS did a perfect job in recreating the pure rage and emotion behind Gohan's transformation, but every single reactor I've watched so far just laughs/complains about the music they used (even though it's a cover of the original Japanese version, which was mind blowing). As a DBZ fan, it's means a lot, so thanks for your positive reaction on the scene.
Its interesting to find out you had flashbacks to the helping abridged moment. I was thinking of the parallel that Android 16 had dying with his head getting stepped on like how doctor giro had gotten his head separated and his head stepped on. the connections between fathers and sons being emphasized from Trunks:Vegeta, Android 16: doctor Giro(which has more punch after knowing about that damage memory file of the original human son and his love of bird), Cell and the weird cell juniors. and of course Gohan and Goku(with Goku finally getting a real break through in understanding his son with Piccolo pointing out that Gohan doesn't love fighting like Goku does). Loved your reaction to the song and how you were clearly flinching back as you waited for cell o step on the head). kindof hoped we'd get to see pretty guardian react to it but even if we don't see her reaction we know she is definitely going to enjoy it XD
If that level of dodging is something they think Piccolo should be proud of then wait till Gohan gets active in part 2. Piccolo will wanna hide his tears.
Late comment, but, the 'you never had a soul' line is because 16 is a ginger (a South Park reference), not because he's actually an android. Remember the video file that Bulma found (which TFS made themselves)? He was Jero's son.
That was the original Gohan Super Saiyan 2 transformation theme, its called "Tamashi Tai Tamashi". I would recommend you to see this transformation in japanese, there's a fucking Oozaru's Roar while Gohan screams that made the scene even more epic.
2:45 Huh, I just assumed Ox King was worried that her passing out that violently would hurt the baby growin' in her womb, that is still pretty insensitive.
Due to Android 16 being completely mechanical, he was unable to pass onto the afterlife, and he couldn't be wished back. When he died, he was actually gone, forever.
The song at the end was Unmei no Hi - Tamashi tai Tamashi or The Day of Fate Spirit Vs Spirit. It's the original Japanese theme that plays then Gohan transforms and that was their English cover version.
Andriod 16 really broke down Gohan's character.... I love Gohan but he was indeed being a coward at the end of the day ..... Probably better than the original script
He may have been a coward but at the end of the day he was 10, 11 if you count the chamber, so you got to think, an 11 year old who's so far: been kidnapped at the age of 4 and held random by an abusive uncle, left alone in the wilderness for 6 months (we can assume that yes the characters mentally grow up faster than real life but lets be honest, what were you capable of at 4? living alone in the wild, not possible), groomed to fight two more grown men both who could easily kill them all- which, piccolo was depending on him A FOUR/FIVE year old at the time to save them, then went into space to correct the wrong he felt he did by not saving piccolo, got beaten to near death multiple times in space (which, lets talk about that too, he's barely out of toddler age yet he's seen how many deaths?) the ginyu force snapped his neck but he was alive so we can assume he was paralyzed and slowly dying out while hearing his dad's friends suffer and the bad kills joking about how they should kill them, and then freeza himself coming through and sweeping the floor with them. A quick break, let's examine Goku, who is known for being a bad father, he's not the worst honestly but it probably was really shitty and the crew points it out a lot how Goku doesn't have the time to dad because training is more important (THe author of DBZ even said in an issue of DBZ that Goku actually doesn't consider his family, well, family. Loosely quoting their words he said "Goku considers them more of... comrades." He doesn't understand what a family is and thus can't be an active family member to Gohan or Chichi. The android saga wasn't terrible but it made him, as well as the rest of the Z warriors, understand that Goku wasn't full proof and wouldn't be around forever, which to his son who spends no time with his dad, is kinda heart breaking. And then the Cell arc. Woo Buddy, Like the episode pointed out, Goku NEVER ASKED his son what he liked, and never understood that Gohan was a pacifist at heart. He doesn't like hurting anyone, friend or foe. Is it selfish that he was scared to fight when Goku probably could have pulled the win out of his ass? Or selfish that Goku didn't think about what his son wanted until Piccolo pointed it out? THe original script was better because Our wonderful Jolly Green Giant tried to reassure Gohan and tell him that it was okay to be hurt and to hurt someone like cell. Gohan wasn't being a coward, he was pushed into something he didn't want to do. OOF this is a long rant im sorry!!! I'm not saying all this to be rude, so sorry if it comes off like that? But I noticed a lot of people dissing Gohan for being a coward and I needed to try to explain to at least one person that the circumstances arent the best for him!!
Ashlyn Tabor no harm bro .... Your opinion did make alot of since ... But I liked how Teamfourstar took another angle at gohan than the original script ...
Let's not mince words here: Toriyama blatantly wrote Gohan out of character here. Or more specifically, he basically reversed him to how Gohan was at the beginning of his character arc in the Saiyan arc. The Gohan that went to Namek would have NEVER behave like this.
Amazing TFS this truly brought the feels and mu childhood memories back. Thank you TFS for a battom of my heart. #AirierReacts Great Reaction by the way

A dub of the original song that Gohan turned SSJ2 to, Unmei no Hi - Tamashii vs Tamashii (Day of Destiny - Spirit vs Spirit) by Hironobu Kageyama. Great song, solid cover.
That song at the end is a cover of soul vs soul. It was a song that appeared in the japanese dub of that episode with Gohan turning SS2. It was so damn good too!
I've watched his dozens of times and never noticed the linkin park references towards the end! I wonder what would happen if I watch it a few dozen more times?
The Original Song is called "Tamashii vs tamashii" by Unmei no hi. And its the original Song of Gohans SSJ2 transofmation. They covered it and im so happy about they choose the japanese Version to cover. The covered Version will probably be available soon. And yes, i need it too xD

It's fracking destiny. You pretty much sync up with your reactions, and the newest ep get's released. I swear TFS waited for you to get at this point. xD
I found out that this episode was coming out literally hours after I edited the Broly reaction. This happened when I was at work. I can neither confirm nor deny that I might have scared my coworker when I learned this. :)
1. The writing alone is a masterpiece!!! 2. Yeah I wanna found out about the song too, but the word “Messiah” sounds like a lead. Or I could just find it on the original vid... 3. Hercule literally has the luck of Satan, glad he was named as such! 4. I think Takahata said on Twitter that next part is 2 weeks from now. (I hope I’m recalling correctly!)
Wolf Ying the song is named Unmei No Hi Tamashi Vs Tamashi They used a hand made English cover look up the original when you get the change it IS AMAZING
The song of the ending is a cover of "Tamashii vs Tamashii", it actually appeared in Dragon Ball Z when Gohan transformed into Super Saiyan 2, but i believe the english dub didn't have it because they replaced it with the Falcouner's score
21:00.... Just like Cell..... Gohan and especially TFS HAD MY ERECTION ! Also just an FYI for those wondering what that song is. It is an english cover from the original Japanese song (Unmei no Hi Tamashi tai tamashii) which was used in the OG.Japanese version of DBZ! Here's a link to it ruclips.net/video/px8aiW3GEME/видео.html also here's the cover used in this episode ruclips.net/video/u2PZwxEz-TU/видео.html
Airier, are you telling me you've never dove into the Dragonball Z soundtrack before? That's Unmei no Hi ~ Tamashi vs Tamashi, by Mr DBZ himself Hironobu Kageyama.
Ending music was a re-orchestrated and translated version of the original Japanese audio from this scene. I’m assuming they’re going to put up a video with a full version at some point.
AirierGames I think Lanny also said that they will be taking a few months to a year break after the cell saga but they do want to do the buu saga they just aren’t sure if they will be able to any time soon
It actually took until I watched your reaction of this to realize that the bomb was the '10 kilograms lighter' 16 mentioned when he was talking to Krillin.
Rn the song cover at the end isn't available, but they will sell it soonish, I think. Also, it's a cover of the Japanese song that played during that scene. Unmei no hi.
For the soundtrack to use at the end if you look at the video description and the link it says that the song will be available soon so maybe with the next couple weeks you'll have a link for it on iTunes or Spotify

Goku may be an idiot, but as they say "a broken clock is right twice a day". Also being Super Saiyan might boost his intelligence.
A dub of the original song that Gohan turned SSJ2 to, Unmei no Hi - Tamashii vs Tamashii (Day of Destiny - Spirit vs Spirit) by Hironobu Kageyama. Great song, solid cover.
18:55 "he doesn't die much" he didint even die like EVEEEEEEEEER
Hercule doesn't die because when he realizes he can't win he runs away from the fight. LOL.
Bruh this dude has borderline vampiric canines!!!!
Daym. Everyone was hyped yesterday in my time when this came out.
YES! I WATCHED IT YESTERDAY AND ITS FUNNY AS USUAL!!!
10:30 Cause he knows that won't save him lol.
"and thats the end of episode 60" and no one knows that, that is the original song for Gohan transforming. Sadness.
Cell saying 16 doesn’t have a soul is rather ironic given he was the most compassionate.
The song at the end is actually a translation of the song that plays in the original Japanese dub of DBZ when Gohan goes SS2.
That song at the end is a cover of soul vs soul. It was a song that appeared in the japanese dub of that episode with Gohan turning SS2. It was so damn good too!
We had the Bruce Faulconer music but the song they used in this episode is an English cover of the song they used in Japan.
Loved the linkin park exchange
That was their own version of Gohan's Theme. In the comments they say it will be available for purchase soon... I want it so bad to!
It awesome episode of it can't wait for the next video😀
this was worth waiting a year for.
In the actual show 16 gave a speech to Mr. Satan that helped him find the courage to go out there.
I must have seen that episode 3 times already today
That song was an english cover of Spirit vs. Spirit otherwise listed as Unmei no Hi. It played in the original Japanese version of the episode.
Doesn't vegeta juniour basically have nappa's DNA
I HOPE so. That makes everything Vegeta says even funnier (in my opinion, at least).
xD wow my comment got a reply
Vegeta Jr JUNIOR.
Original VJ is the Saibaman Vegeta blows up (to Nappa's chagrin).
Also i think some of you didn't notice this but Vegeta Jr. Jr.'s lines this episode directly correlate Ghost Nappa's first lines
GN: Vegeeeeeta...... Vegeeeeetaaaaaaaa...... I'm haunting you.
VJJ: Vegeeeeeta...... Vegeeeeetaaaaaaaa...... I'm fighting you.
I believe that is the joke.
I'm sure you handled it like a gentleman. (Let us know if we need to set up a kick-starter for material damages.)
Just got the notice that part 2 is this Friday! AWESOMENESS!!!
It's like a mini Nappa.
Wolf Ying the song is named Unmei No Hi Tamashi Vs Tamashi
They used a hand made English cover look up the original when you get the change it IS AMAZING
The joke about 16 when he dies, about never having a soul, was because he had red hair... nothing bad, just the usual red heads have no soul joke.
This was a great episode
first and most epic episode and its only the beginning
If this is only part one, I'm even more excited to see what the next two parts have in store.
Hey remember that episode when Gohan had that dream of Cell crushing the heads of Piccolo and Chi-Chi, Was that foreshadowing?
The song of the ending is a cover of "Tamashii vs Tamashii", it actually appeared in Dragon Ball Z when Gohan transformed into Super Saiyan 2, but i believe the english dub didn't have it because they replaced it with the Falcouner's score
in the dvd release you could have the english dub with the japanese music
Here's a link to it
ruclips.net/video/px8aiW3GEME/видео.html
also here's the cover used in this episode ruclips.net/video/u2PZwxEz-TU/видео.html
Airier, are you telling me you've never dove into the Dragonball Z soundtrack before? That's Unmei no Hi ~ Tamashi vs Tamashi, by Mr DBZ himself Hironobu Kageyama.
The gods damn infighting stopped them
The version of spirit versus spirit that was playing when he transformed can actually be found on Spotify under the name day of fate
Wam! Bam! Thank you Ma'am!!!
Even though Japan's opinion of the abridged isnt as high as the US..even they probally loved the finale..
Ending music was a re-orchestrated and translated version of the original Japanese audio from this scene. I’m assuming they’re going to put up a video with a full version at some point.
Android 16 really roasted Gohans ass.
You mean Vegeta?
@@BuzryHaproMandalorianHunter both actually if you think about it.
this episode was worth the wait. So epic
In case you haven't already seen it. TFS uploaded that song a day or two after the episode. I listen to it alot. Hope you find/found it.
I cried the 1st time, 25yrs ago
that music at the end tho
Good news Lanny said we might be getting episode 60 next week Friday and also the sound track was hand made by TFS!
Hope so.
On twitter, Kaiser said two weeks, but only waiting one week sounds better to me. :)
AirierGames I think Lanny also said that they will be taking a few months to a year break after the cell saga but they do want to do the buu saga they just aren’t sure if they will be able to any time soon
Shark-King-101 Wait.........are you serious??? I can't tell if you're serious and that's concerning O.o
LatimAzure I’m serious about everything I don’t fib about stuff
Shark-King-101 Please tell me there's a tweet or video about this
It actually took until I watched your reaction of this to realize that the bomb was the '10 kilograms lighter' 16 mentioned when he was talking to Krillin.
Rn the song cover at the end isn't available, but they will sell it soonish, I think.
Also, it's a cover of the Japanese song that played during that scene. Unmei no hi.
Apparently that song at the end is the English version of the actual Japanese song they played
Then I can,t wait your one the best reaction channels on RUclips
For the soundtrack to use at the end if you look at the video description and the link it says that the song will be available soon so maybe with the next couple weeks you'll have a link for it on iTunes or Spotify
The song is from the original Japanese soundtrack for that Anime.
