The future South Granville Station is taking shape in your neighbourhood. Once the tunnel boring machines left South Granville Station in early 2024, we turned our focus towards the construction of the underground station structure.
The Broadway Subway Project Corporation (BSPC) is installing rebar and waterproofing, delivering materials and equipment, maintaining utilities, welding, and conducting regular concrete pours. To complete this work efficiently, we will continue working primarily during the day and intermittently overnight along W. Broadway between Granville and Hemlock streets. We remain committed to keeping residents and businesses updated on our progress as we advance this major transit infrastructure project in your community.
First major concrete pour at the future South Granville Station on July 29

The Broadway Subway Project Corporation (BSPC) is in your neighbourhood building the future South Granville Station. On July 29, crews will complete the first major concrete pour for the station’s foundation. Approximately 130 trucks will pour more than 1,000 cubic meters of concrete during the day, with additional pours of varying volumes over the coming months.
Timing
For each major pour, set up on site will begin around 5 a.m., with the first concrete truck arriving at 6 a.m. The concrete pour is scheduled until 10 p.m. with low noise work continuing overnight to finish related activities.
