Hop in the float plane-a new episode of DIRT just dropped. Host Josh Rosen makes his way back to Alaska, “the land of air, sea, and sky,” for the first time since a family trip in ’93. All feast, no sleep is the name of the game as Josh makes the most of Alaska’s abundant and legendary daylight alongside local guides, fishermen, and even a couple grizzlies. There’ll be plenty of time to hibernate in winter. But for now-join us-there are halibut to filet, rainforest ’shrooms to forage, and mountainside meals to cook up.

Huckberry will never make enough episodes of Dirt. I find myself rewatching them often
There are no other videos that evoke such an emotional response, for the simplicity of life, like Dirt.
Please continue this series, all over our fine planet.
Notes: The pace and narration of the first episodes was superb, there were just enough natural shots, explanations, different uses of cinematography, and it felt like you were getting to know the characters of the places. This and the the previous Ireland episode could have either been longer or had much less, they felt rushed, not giving the viewer time to take in the story of the places, as was experienced by Josh. Everything is huge in Alaska, from the stunning mountain vistas to the lives of the folks who make it their home, and both require a good long moment to take in.

This was SO good. I was stationed in AK at JBER. Met my wife in Anchorage, skied at Alyeska in Girdwood, camped on the spit in Homer and drank at the Salty Dawg, sea kayaked in Seward and put too many miles on my xtratuffs chasing salmon. Kudos on the video, this one is special.

Brings back old memories I've seen a lot of what he's seeing right now even been on a couple float planes I was down in Homer when I was just a child and there was nothing on the beach but the salty dog years later I went back halibut fishing and it was incredible.

As a young aspiring cinematographer and moviemaker this is one of the milestones I'm aspiring to achieve.
DIRT has it all: cinematography, adventure and life stories. I never want it to end and every time I see there's a new episode I can't wait to find that free time where I know I've done everything I had to and I can just get cosy and press play.
But I've seen other people say it already and I came to the same conclusion, the last couple episodes miss that slow narrative we could find in the previous ones. To as a viewer have the time to get to know people through there stories and what drives them into doing what they do, because they all have incredible stories, and the previous episodes can attest to this. To get a break in between scenes and locations to just passively look at some, again, stunning images; and be clear-minded again to follow and understand the rest of the adventure.
I truly hope this will come back because in the end it's the people that make DIRT... DIRT !
