"Safety and peace, brother" "Your presence here derives me of both" - "Safety and peace, brother" "Your presence here will deliver us both" This is character development in its purest form
Damn it, everything is gray in this game. There's no black and white, no good vs evil, no right or wrong. The script is so well written it takes your breath away and changes your perspective in every conceviable way. Kudos to the Ubisoft for making such a great game. P.S This is my personal opinion. If you do not share it, fine but try not to contradict it out of spite.
You are so correct. Coming back to this game years after playing it an all the other games really shows how this was the best of them all in terms of writing. I am finding myself hard to choose which side to align with as both have just causes in most cases.
***** nah wouldnt say that.. The others were less philosophical but at least they went a bit more comic route in AC 2 and sticked with it cause the game was better (gameplay wise). But daym this game has atmosphere. the haunting music, the dialogue the grim view on the world and desmond being a hostage
Never played Assassin's Creed before, just Assassin's Creed 2 and beyond because I know it's really dated and controls pretty bad. However I'm really enjoying the story, the writing, the atmosphere (just from what I've seen of the movie) and the music are really quite good. No wonder people became so hooked to the series at first!
Altair always seemed like the best all around assassin. He's not as good a fighter as Connor, not as good a character as Ezio or Edward, but throughout all of the first game he technically never got hit. Think about it, your health meter is how in sync you are with the memories and it goes down when you're hit. So historically Altair never got hit by an enemy's attack, He may not be able to go toe to toe with more modern assassins, but no one ever gives Altair enough credit as far as how badass he really was.
Actually, I think he's literally the best assassin of the series. Mainly because he's efficient in his kills, and is barely ever found before he escapes. Going by the trailers, he's apparently so skilled, he can walk right up into an execution and murder his target and his target's bodyguards, and still get away without a scratch. Hell, he's apparently so sneaky, he can assassinate a Templar during one of their secret meetings without being noticed.
+SirWalrusII to me he is the master since he killed Al Mualim, if he never did, the others wouldnt have even be like they are now BY FAR THE BEST ASSASSIN
+SirWalrusII Holy shit, I never thought about the synchronization like that, but you're absolutely right! Everyone else either had armor or a health meter, but Altair never got hit
+SirWalrusII Ubisoft already confirmed Altair as the best assassin, not because he was the first (well yes and no) but because he was the "model" for what assassins should aspire to be (Ubisoft's words), hence why Ezio was love lusting over him trying to find out more about his ancestry and the creed. Altair was the youngest assassin to become a master assassin in a time and era where blood shed was the norm so there was always a huge surplus of warriors to compare Altair to and he bested them. The trouble is Altair has so much backstory but Ubisoft didn't bother explaining it or make further games with Altair as the main character but went with Ezio instead and developed his story. That's why too many people fanboy Ezio and not enough love is shown for Altair because little is known about him through the games but his lore is pretty much written up. I've always admired how badass Altair was and his arrogance didn't bother me it was actually very fitting for a 25yr old male with allot of attitude and aggression (thinking he's the best, when he was but wasn't being humble about it).
Thank you for uploading this. Thank you, thank you, thank you. As someone who cannot afford to buy all the games or play them myself, it is so nice to sit back and watch it being played without having a youtuber chattering my ear off while the game volume is so low, I can't hear any of the dialogue. So, again, thank you.
Midorii Akina. Yes. Thank-you , thankyou, and thank-you Midorii for staying wellhowvi I feel. I convinced 1 grandson to purchase an AC game colonial times. Lol. I love Enzio, spoke Italian. Loved that one.moviegame.
This was back when the overarching storyline with AC was still mysterious and secretive. AC and AC2 were really interesting in this regard. Jesper Kyd's soundtrack was a perfect accompaniment. Along with the less interesting player-characters, AC is going downhill these days in part because nothing feels mysterious about the background plot anymore.
*Attention people looking for the Michael Fassbender live action movie*: Why are you here? It's illegal to upload hollywood movies to your youtube channel. This is a movie created using footage from the 2007 game. I made this movie years before the hollywood movie was even announced.
+Clarence James Valenzuela People must have been coming here complaining that this isn't the movie that comes out 12/21/16. Then he goes on to talk about how it's illegal to upload the movie onto your channel.
49:40 "What better way to make a solider to take a broken man and rebuild him, give him all he's been denied with the promess of more." "It seems a lot of work" "It is, but what you get in return is loyalty" What Al Mualim explains in this conversation sounds a lot like what he planned to do with Altair. He broke him, promissed him redemption in exchange of unconditionned loyalty but the young Assassin started to question the old man elusive answers throughout the game. This theory on loyalty can also be applied to how Viddick got Lucy's loyalty 50:00 "Everyone deceives, learn to pierce the veil and know that nothing is true". For example, Al Mualim is not who he claims to be :p These conversations were so good
+Andy Gilleand By the way, I liked how you gathered all the information before going to the Assassins Bureau for the first time. I like to do that myself.
The 2nd is much much better in my opinion. I actually played AC 2 years ago and only picked up AC 1 three days ago. I like AC 2 and am waiting for it to be mailed to me so that I can relive it lol. Love the setting in Italy.
I still think the first Assassin's Creed is the best of them all, although most people would probably pick AC2 or Black Flag, which I agree are also fantastic, along with the rest of them. Even the one I like least I still enjoy playing as a game. However, there is something really special to me about the character of Altair (my personal favorite), and even though the first game it doesn't have all the updated tools and moves that come later, I think it contains the best environment, graphics, storyline, and overall medieval atmospheric presence that is so appealing...
HARRY DILA yeah Ac1 is more serious .. the blood the graphic.. the screams when you hit a soldier with a sword... the fact that he doesn't fly ..there's just a little bit of parkur not too many impossible things.. i mean when you fight.. you feel that they fuckin wanna kill you.. in ac2 for example while they're trying to kill you they tell you jokes and stuff like that.. that is not serious
Lol I thought I would be the only one with that opinion. I think they should make another Altair game...Ac 2 was the second best game but I didn t enjoy the folowing two games.
liam111liam Yeah man Altair is also by far the most believable imo, because for one his previous background is unknown, leaving us to believe (by judging his overall persona) that he is a very well respected and highly trained/skilled assassin who consequently let his arrogance get in the way of an important mission, and now has to earn his way up through the ranks once more. Ezio was a good character, but not nearly as convincing. One main flaw was he had no experience in training such as sword-fighting and everything else, until his family was murdered, and then afterwards he gets hold of a sword and supposedly can take on 5 or more guards at once. That threw me off a bit, but given he was educated and also driven by being betrayed, it worked out okay. Personally I wish they focused more on Altair, but that's just me...
AC - the only game where I could kill a 100 guards, go preach while in the middle of them, and the incoming guard won't try to attack me because I am praying xD, and then I stealth kill them, and start the whole process again XD.
Ubisoft needs to remaster AC1 into Unity's engine. Imagine what the game would be like. Better textures which means Altair's robes will look shining and badass not to mention the other graphics in the game, along with the updated parkour mechanics. Imagine your first glimpse at Jerusalem while riding your horse with the epic music. I always wanted to play the original Assassin's Creed with everything updated. I feel like a remaster would create a broad feeling of immersion while navigating the roofs as Altair.True battles with true Assassins vs true Templars. The principles in the original AC need to be reintroduced in a future AC game with the Creed rankings and getting intel before assassinating a target. I like the idea of having an Assassin Sanctuary like in the first one, and seeing other Assassin's train and it just felt like you were in a secretive Brotherhood of Assassins. Kind of going off topic but I just wanted to show how I think they should go back to the roots of Assassin's Creed. ANYWAY, I wouldn't mind if they remastered Ezios trilogy too. Playing Brotherhood with Unity's engine would be amazing as well.
RenegadeX025 Changing the parkour, combat and gameplay itself isn't called "Remastering" Remastering is changing the graphics, soundtrack and GUI/Visuals. But it would be nice, I don't think using Unity's engine would be great though because ACI had the best shadows and particles in the entire franchise, maybe using Unity for graphics but keep the hood shadows in ACIN ;)
+RenegadeX025 you know that Prince of Persia had superior Gameplay and Parcour mechanics right? AC 1 was a massive downgrade, but most just didn't want to notice. It was still a kinda fund game with a good story but the Gameplay was "meh" at best.
+rogueshdw If you liked 3 and 4 the best, I would definitely suggest playing Rogue if you haven't. It takes the best parts of 3 and 4's gameplay and design and puts them together.
I played this when I was much younger... Now 7 years later I just relized how great the dialogue is in this game and how well the setting works here. I also really like the serious tone, they didn't try to throw in some cheap laughs like in the later ones (especially Unity). The enemys look like enemys (not this clowns in unity) and dont insta-die by some throwing knife. Combat and movement was much grittier compared to the later games...
Well, this game literally has a counter attack with the hidden blade that instantly kills you. Sure, the timing should be perfect but I'll say that's an insta death for sure.
I prefer the book. It mentions and explains a lot more. For example, in this "movie" the story jumps straight to Altair when he makes the mistake at the temple, whilst the book begins from the beginning, explaining why Altair became an orphan, and why Abbas hates him so much.
ah, the wonderful old memories, and thats how it all starts, the assassinations, the objectives, the side missions, the leap of faiths tha turns novice players into cold blooded killers
I've complete most of the Assassin's Creed games. Apart from Unity and Rogue. I love these games. I wish I lived in the medieval ages. My favorite character by far was Ezio Auditore da Firenze. I loved his character, I just wish they continued with him rather than adding other characters, even though I enjoyed them just as much as well, but nothing compared to him.
Im deeply saddened they did not pursue the life of Altair and just went straight to Ezio, which I loved by the way but we did not see much of the master assassin. We saw a glimpse of him married to a templar woman who converted to the brotherhood and he looked more mature and wise. Too bad.
I dont judge of how people play, im only hear to have some knowledge about how the assassins creed all started. I just finished playing assassins creed 3 and ready to move on and play Assassins creed 4 Black flag. My goal today is to finish this movie, and watch assassins creed 2, brotherhood, & revelations movie to have a deep understanding of the game story.
If you want a really good in-depth information on the story, read the Assassins Creed series by Oliver Bowden. He made the game into an actual story, with no hints of it being based on a game. Plus, it is a lot of fun to read. Did you know Altair was an orphan from a very early age? Why does Abbas hate Altair so much? It's all nicely explained in the book. So worth it. Can't wait for the AC 4 book to come out.
DJ MuzeMaster Yeah i think in the revelation those questions have been answered if i remember well, but i will get a look at that book. I am kinda septical about it though since the real story behind assassin creed is based on a book named Alamut by Vladimir Barthol, the whole assassin( Hashashin) concept begin in that fortress by the ismailienne order and the story isnt clear thought until this day( secretive society).
They remodeled his face in every subsequent game. It seems that Ubisoft was afraid that nobody would believe Altair, Ezio, Haytham's, and Connor were all small percentages of Desmond's lineage, so they made Desmond look like he had no other parentage.
ajmrowland Actually all versions of Desmond are modeled after a real person. AC1 just looked hardly anything like that person, and with each game they were able to improve the graphics, so Desmond looked closer to that real person. In AC3 he looked really close This is the guy: img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091217233218/assassinscreed/images/1/17/Francisco_randez.jpg
Andy Gilleand thats what i kinda meant i would like to see 1 2 3 with updated graphics mostly 1 and 2 maybe 3 but i think 3 looks very good as is but most of them do anyway so... idk
gorillazwiki I'd say 1 is most in need of an update, at least for the characters. Even the PC version at max settings doesn't look very good. The cities look pretty nice though still.
I liked AC1 for it's atmosphere, times and storytelling. It became a benchmark. Also AC 3 for it's fighting system, indian hero and interesting age. And AC4 also, for the variety of missions and beautiful landscape (but i enjoyed it's fighting system the least sadly). Hope to play AC in Japan...so much they can play on there!
***** Please don't insult people. There's no reason Japan couldn't work in AC. They just don't want to be cliche by picking the most obvious location (it's obvious to see that Ninjas were probably Assassins in this universe)
***** Templars don't have to be white. Based on what was said in AC3, it's clear the Assassins and Templars began much earlier than AC1, thousands of years earlier in fact.
***** The Templars were never really christian, they just aligned themselves with the christians for the political advantage it had during the crusades. It wasn't really about religion at all, just political gain. The same could have been true in Japan. They would align themselves with whatever political or religious faction would serve their purpose best.
***** Ok, Mr. Adequacy. I am glad i have such thick skull just not to be like you. Tell me why Mayans, why Connor were Assassins then? And any decent fact why it would be bad in Japan.
One-Two Because obviously only white people make good Assassins, right!? *rolls eyes* Seriously, there is no good reason to respond to people like him.
If they remade this game... Its setting and cities are amazing, so much potential for side quests. The plot is simple, but interesting and ends with an unexpected twist. Lots of philosophical ideas are brought up and the interactions between Altair and his targets feel meaningful. We didn't really know that much of the Templar Order in this game, so it would have been a twist to discover that all the targets are connected too. The game would benefit from a remake if they shook things up a bit to take away the repetitiveness.
That would be awesome. I couldn’t finish the game because it was so repetitive so I would love it if they could remake it, create more side quests and take out the repetitiveness
I would love that 😔 But you can also read the books. I mean it could sound stupid to read the books after you played the games but Oliver Bowden did a pretty good job at writing the AC stories. I liked it anyway. I prefered reading Black flag than playing it... the book was awesome. I hope the upcoming movie will be good and wont mess up the AC story... just as those shitty Marvel and DC movies they're doing. The comics were far better. Deadpool movie was good though. So yeah I'd like to have the book and the movie of the AC origins. Would be great..
Thank you for making these. The story is strangely intriguing and incredibly well done even if the game itself gets repetitive. Although I'm a mega fan of the series, I haven't been able to play many of the games so this helps catch me up on the story. Thanks!
gotta admit, i didn't understand the plot that much when i first played this game. but now that i've played other parts and had a look back at this, it all makes sense :P
Thanks for putting up Assassins Creed as movies! I own all the games, but i wanted to experience them again without actually putting the effort in ;) It is a great way to do it!
So im really really late to this party, but i just found your channel and i wabted to say THANK YOU! I am not a gamer i have alway enjoyed watching more then playing. I love the " movie" format and really get lost in the storie.
I'm going to be honest: I HATED Altair in the beginning. Having played Assassin's Creed II before the original, Altair seemed rude, dickish, and just plain....cruel. That is, at first, but then, I realized something: Altair was changing as the game went on, going from rude and being a dick, to honorable and one of the best Assassins to date. .... Now that I think about it, I think the other Assassins went though similar things and had similar changes....hmmm.....
+Doctor J Altair was like that in the beginning because he was arrogant. He WAS the best assassin in his order, it got to his head. Ezio remains playful but becomes more mature and goal oriented. Connor remains himself, actually. Given he is stoic and has a solid idea of right and wrong from the get go, it makes sense. But in his story arc, he becomes a bitter old man. Edward does change. Adewale does not. Shay is the most dramatic change to date. I've never played Unity so I don't know. I wouldn't exactly call it similar, but most of them do get developed.
that was fucking epic. nice work. the first assassin's creed game is by far the best in my opinion. it tells the better story about the war that is going on between the assassins & the templars.
I liked this game a lot.... It really took skills to play this game. Now Ubisoft payed attention to the fun factor and made the more recent ones easy. In AC1, the skill and timing it took to play this game made you feel kinda good.
i found your chanel from reddit and now im gobsmacked by the quality of content you upload!! thank you so much for entering my universe so i can binge watch all the AC games without having to replay them AND finally watch the order 1886!!
This game is good...as long as you don't play any of the other games before it. Its a good start to the series, but after Assassin's Creed II, there is no going back. I have tried and...it doesn't work out well.
This is the only one that really focuses on what its like to be an assassin. The other games had a bigger picture involved, like 2 was about avenging your family, Brotherhood was about stopping the Borgia and getting the apple back, Revelations was about finding the hidden library and learning more about Altair, 3 was about killing Charles Lee and helping in the Revolution and Black Flag was about being a pirate and finding the Observatory. (Black Flag was the least connected to assassins of the series) The first one was just, "Go there and kill that guy. When your done, go to the next place and kill that guy."
FreakDaMIghet also i find the dialogue and misterious plot from this game much more engaging. no wonder it made the best Assassins book. I played them all and disagree with FreakDamlghet, in a way. While the game lacks in gameplay variaty, its a sacriface worth making for a good and deep narrative. I think AC1 has somthing the others lack. Also, call me weird but i find the first game the most graphicly detailed of them all, even comparing with black flag. It was shocking when it came out and i still get impressed by it.
FreakDaMIghet That's why the first one is so boring to a lot of people though. Honestly when I played it I couldn't even finish it because it was way too repetitive.
Yeah. It gt boring for me too, but I was determined to finish it. Its not horrible, but its linear as hell. You know...up until the ending when it got all sci-fi on our asses.
Thank you so much for these! I love the games, however I tend to never finish the games, even though I love the stories. These movies of yours allow me to finish and enjoy the stories without having to finish the games! Thank you!
I heard a real assassins creed movie is coming out on December,21st 2016, starring Michael Fassbender from X-men first class and that the movie will start off with AC1 with altiär, also that the next assasins creed takes place in during the 7 year war war with Britain and France and might give players more incite of what happened after the events of AC3 ( after Desmond's body was recovered)
Yeah, Rogue covers the Purge of the Colonial Brotherhood that occurs in the time skip (specifically the Seven Years War) between Haytham and Conner, and you get to play the Assassin-turned-Templar to do it: Shay Cormac. It's naval, like Black Flag, but takes place in the North Atlantic, with ground missions in Canada and various US regions. Achilles and Adewale are confirmed to be some of your enemies if not your final targets. Also, ever wonder how the Aquila was decommissioned? I find it very likely that a climatic naval battle will be between Shay's ship, The Morrigan, and the Aquila. You will be fighting Assassins and all that that entails, with each Master Assassin having the same mechanics that previous Assassins in the series have had, up to and including Air Assassination attempts. Shay's story is a direct link between the Kenway saga and the story in Unity.
Robert. So your saying rogue is in the same time period as Connor and Haytham and that rogue is a prequel before unity( I should play rogue then unity)?
***** yeah. Rogue takes place during the Seven Years War (1754-1763). Conner section of Ac3 takes place up to and during the American Revolutionary War (1775-1783). Unity takes place up to and during the French Revolution (1789- 1799). Do if you want to be completely chronologically correct, ancestor wise, it'd be AC4 Black Flag, Ac3 Haythem part, AC Rogue, Ac3 Conner bit, AC Unity. UbiSoft has said that Rogue's story has some sort of impact on Unity's story, so at the very least Rogue first.
Assassin's Creed 1 is THE game, it is much more harder than AC 2, in AC 2 you could kill 1000 guards with only fists because the easy kill streat system, no joke, however in the AC 1 you must be more aware of the fight.
There's no kill streak in AC2. That started with Brotherhood. AC2 actually has quite frustrating combat. I think AC1 was a pretty good balance if they had allowed for more moves and weapons, and had a more consistent counter (it didn't work a lot of the time in AC1)
Andy Gilleand then i don't know, but in AC 2 was too easy compared to AC 1, I think it is because AC 1 combat really depened on timing and AC 2 atleat for me was just hold "high profile" and press attack + direction to high lighted enemy, all the time and it worked, but felt too easy
Vlad Can Shuffle I think your memory is confusing AC2 with Brotherhood. AC2 combat was significantly harder than AC1. It was basically the exact same system with a more consistent counter, only it took a LOT longer to actually kill anyone, especially the brutes. Watch my AC2 movie, you'll see me go unarmed half the time because the easiest way to kill anyone in AC2 is to go unarmed and steal their weapon. Otherwise you'll be clanging away with your sword for a LONG time. and yeah, check my channel, I've done movies for every major AC game
Honestly this will always be my favourite game of the series, obviously the new ones have far more depth and better graphics, but this one always seemed to have me the most immersed. It was something about the dark brutality of the time period and the storyline that just gave me a feeling of excitement and mysteriousness that the other games in the series never seemed to capture in my opinion.
No this game has more depht than all the other AC games since this one is the most philosophical and the info gathering wasn't repetitive, each Mission was different from the other.
best script ever. ACII story is good but people are blind to call that better then this just because they're lazy play and carefully hear all dialogues.
If only they had subtitles. I can't understand anything because for some odd reason I have trouble understanding what people in videos or movies are saying. I'm one third through the game right now and I still scarcely have a clue on what's going on.
the dialogues are what actually made ac ii the best for me tbh. and there's this thing called plot and background, which involves dialogue, so excuse you if you've mistaken it as "lazy play"
I must say I liked the old death sequences more ...when you just hold them in your hands as they shared the secrets before dying. It was better in my opinion.
u start off as Altair, a very arrogant master assassin, who breaks the 3 important tenants of the creed.he later gets devoted to a novice & stripped of is armor/weapons. now he has to earn his honor back by assassinating the nine templar knights that he was assigned by his mentor, Al Mualim. when confronting Robert de Sable, he finds out that there is a tenth templar. Altair hurries back to Masyaf to find out that Al Mualim is the templar. after killing his mentor, Altair retreives the piece of eden & is informed that there are more pieces of eden.
Assassin's creed is like the Lord of the rings movie trilogy. You can't compare because they are all one. I mean each starts from the end of the one before..... well except for ac4...but still....also I know a lot of people didn't play ac4 because they didn't like ac3.... it is much better and you must get freedom cry..... plus check out ***** HE is AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Even though this OS basically a play through of the actual game, I still find this very entertaining. Altaïr is and always will be my favorite assassin :) . Thank you for uploading this!
It's gonna take me a long time to watch these assassin's creed vids you made, but thanks for all your long hours you put in. I know editing is hard work.
... You know, Philip Shahbaz wasn't actually a bad choice. He's got the right attitude and definitely the right voice. It was just weird direction that let him down... and i mean REALLY let him down. Apparently, he was originally going to do a Middle-Eastern accent but the directors liked his American accent too much... Which was a really bad idea. That's part of the reason why the performance seems so wooden, he was just made out to be some kind of cowboy :| Thank Christ they didn't make that mistake with Roger Craig Smith in Ezio's case.
Who else could remember the very first assassins creed game that they played, but still come on RUclips and watch the full game after the all of these years...

AC3 also does a great job making both sides seem like they have valid points, and also are both flawed.
Yes and that is why it is my second favorite assassins creed.
Deep my man
Nah both sides are just a bunch of assholes with a power trip trying to change the world into their image. Two sides of the same coin.
"Not lost, taken. By you. And then you've sent me to fetch it again like some damn dog." Man, the writing in this game is brilliant
***** theres some deep ideologies in this game. Everytime someone opens their mouth, 90% of the time its brilliant
VideosNoOne Agreed. The series really lost that sharpness over time.

+SirWalrusII to me he is the master since he killed Al Mualim, if he never did, the others wouldnt have even be like they are now
BY FAR THE BEST ASSASSIN
+SirWalrusII Holy shit, I never thought about the synchronization like that, but you're absolutely right! Everyone else either had armor or a health meter, but Altair never got hit
l

The only bad thing about Assassins Creed 1 was
"Please sir just a few coins..."
Agh, the beggars were the worse.
Just like in real life.
NickWithAnX I barely played it and misty watched a friend play it when I was younger but damn do I remember that
They drove me nuts!!
i always killed those people, who were following you for about 10 minutes with those words... they were annoying
Holy smokes the background soundtrack for the first Assassin's Creed is scary as hell.
I know right
This was back when the overarching storyline with AC was still mysterious and secretive.
I don't get what ur saying...
+Clarence James Valenzuela People must have been coming here complaining that this isn't the movie that comes out 12/21/16. Then he goes on to talk about how it's illegal to upload the movie onto your channel.
duh
At least they are getting familiar with the game first, because the real movie's storyline is an original story in the video game continuity.
+Andy Gilleand This is the game's cenimatics.. consider this a movie though
I never quite realised how amazing the story was in this game. This one had one of the best writings ever.
Will you please either change the 2nd "one" to "some" or "writings" to "writers"?
absolutely delusional opinion
@@jaymonius546 Why is delusional? The premise of the franchise started here, and this was one the most interesting games of 2007.

"What better way to make a solider to take a broken man and rebuild him, give him all he's been denied with the promess of more."
"It seems a lot of work"
"It is, but what you get in return is loyalty"
What Al Mualim explains in this conversation sounds a lot like what he planned to do with Altair. He broke him, promissed him redemption in exchange of unconditionned loyalty but the young Assassin started to question the old man elusive answers throughout the game. This theory on loyalty can also be applied to how Viddick got Lucy's loyalty
50:00 "Everyone deceives, learn to pierce the veil and know that nothing is true". For example, Al Mualim is not who he claims to be :p
These conversations were so good
+Andy Gilleand By the way, I liked how you gathered all the information before going to the Assassins Bureau for the first time. I like to do that myself.
+Korounet I did that mostly for the time I'd save in editing.
watching this so that I can start playing AC2, I hate playing games without knowing the back story.
I would highly recommend playing the first one if you can get a hold of it, it's not a game you wanna miss, that's for sure.
adams right you should play
I had the first the first one but gave up half way thru it, too repetitive.
Just finished this walk though, ready for AC2.
The 2nd is much much better in my opinion. I actually played AC 2 years ago and only picked up AC 1 three days ago. I like AC 2 and am waiting for it to be mailed to me so that I can relive it lol. Love the setting in Italy.
I played brotherhood planning to play the others but I got ps4
I like how you did this. The movements, camera angles, etc... They're like a movie. You did a good job
I still think the first Assassin's Creed is the best of them all, although most people would probably pick AC2 or Black Flag, which I agree are also fantastic, along with the rest of them. Even the one I like least I still enjoy playing as a game. However, there is something really special to me about the character of Altair (my personal favorite), and even though the first game it doesn't have all the updated tools and moves that come later, I think it contains the best environment, graphics, storyline, and overall medieval atmospheric presence that is so appealing...
i exactly think the same
HARRY DILA yeah Ac1 is more serious .. the blood the graphic.. the screams when you hit a soldier with a sword... the fact that he doesn't fly ..there's just a little bit of parkur not too many impossible things.. i mean when you fight.. you feel that they fuckin wanna kill you.. in ac2 for example while they're trying to kill you they tell you jokes and stuff like that.. that is not serious
Personally I wish they focused more on Altair, but that's just me...
right!
they should have
Altair Is by far the best assassin.
Chimnesto i think EZIO AUDITORE DA DA DA IS
like a boss y right ezio is best cheak me channei play ac
^is that even English?
Gajeel Dragneel i know lol
+Sardonyx true
"It is words I bring, not steel."
Just killed like 20 guards.
Altiar logic.
Don't judge.
Player logic.
They chose steel, not him.
AC - the only game where I could kill a 100 guards, go preach while in the middle of them, and the incoming guard won't try to attack me because I am praying xD, and then I stealth kill them, and start the whole process again XD.
chrysmania i do that In Bloodlines Lol
,,hold on guys..I gotta pray"
I am but a humble priest, praying for all these poor souls XD
III and Black Flag had the best gameplay; I'd like to see it remade using their parkour/combat system
+rogueshdw If you liked 3 and 4 the best, I would definitely suggest playing Rogue if you haven't. It takes the best parts of 3 and 4's gameplay and design and puts them together.
rogueshdw I had a dream about that the other night
I played this when I was much younger... Now 7 years later I just relized how great the dialogue is in this game and how well the setting works here. I also really like the serious tone, they didn't try to throw in some cheap laughs like in the later ones (especially Unity). The enemys look like enemys (not this clowns in unity) and dont insta-die by some throwing knife. Combat and movement was much grittier compared to the later games...
Well, most of the enemies are actually wearing armor, so I don't think a knife would be enough to take them down.
Um, a throwing knife against a roof guard is an insta-kill in this game.
Well, this game literally has a counter attack with the hidden blade that instantly kills you. Sure, the timing should be perfect but I'll say that's an insta death for sure.

altair by far the most badass assassin
I prefer the book. It mentions and explains a lot more. For example, in this "movie" the story jumps straight to Altair when he makes the mistake at the temple, whilst the book begins from the beginning, explaining why Altair became an orphan, and why Abbas hates him so much.
You think that book is good, try reading the novel "Alamut" by Vladimir Bartol. The entire franchise was loosely based upon it.
A lot of that is explained in Revelations
There's a book? :o
Connor Kenway I do sometimes. It just depends on the scene.
I have to agree, the book is better by miles.
Thank you so much for uploading these AC movies. YOU ARE LIFEEEE
ah, the wonderful old memories, and thats how it all starts, the assassinations, the objectives, the side missions, the leap of faiths tha turns novice players into cold blooded killers
now i wanna play this game even more
@@thefamousody so why dont you?
I've complete most of the Assassin's Creed games. Apart from Unity and Rogue. I love these games. I wish I lived in the medieval ages. My favorite character by far was Ezio Auditore da Firenze. I loved his character, I just wish they continued with him rather than adding other characters, even though I enjoyed them just as much as well, but nothing compared to him.
Same here. You can also read the books, it's awesome. Everything about these games is awesome. Hope they wont mess up the movie.
I wouldn't though. All assassins are scared and have a tragic life. And if you happen to be a templar. May god bless you when you are in public
Rogue Was An Bad Ass Game but Unity Was A Glitchy Mess
Rickx Yeah all assasins in the ac series died a tragic death
You'd have a bad hygiene then :P Watch the movies Les Visiteurs 1 and 2, you'd understand
The badass master of Assassins , this game needs a remake with next-gen graphics
Im deeply saddened they did not pursue the life of Altair and just went straight to Ezio, which I loved by the way but we did not see much of the master assassin. We saw a glimpse of him married to a templar woman who converted to the brotherhood and he looked more mature and wise. Too bad.
There were some portable games that followed his life more, as well as AC Revelations.
Andy Gilleand small games are meh.
SnakeyXT I'm just saying they did explore those stories
Andy Gilleand on handheld thats lame. should've been like AC but i get your point
SnakeyXT play bloodlines. hes in that one.
I dont judge of how people play, im only hear to have some knowledge about how the assassins creed all started. I just finished playing assassins creed 3 and ready to move on and play Assassins creed 4 Black flag. My goal today is to finish this movie, and watch assassins creed 2, brotherhood, & revelations movie to have a deep understanding of the game story.
lol lucky, me my goal is to get knowledge on historique event that have significantly changed our society so i can do my civilization exam
Jaeger Maester Waaaaaat. Your in the wrong place buddy
Vegeta Prince of all Sayains Not really, this serie has a strong historical back bones
Altair is the only assassin who resembles the same damn face as his descendant-Desmond Miles
Altaïr
r8.in revelations,his accent is arabic
Well Ezio has the same scar on his lip as Desmond
They remodeled his face in every subsequent game. It seems that Ubisoft was afraid that nobody would believe Altair, Ezio, Haytham's, and Connor were all small percentages of Desmond's lineage, so they made Desmond look like he had no other parentage.
*lineage
ajmrowland Actually all versions of Desmond are modeled after a real person. AC1 just looked hardly anything like that person, and with each game they were able to improve the graphics, so Desmond looked closer to that real person. In AC3 he looked really close
This is the guy:
img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091217233218/assassinscreed/images/1/17/Francisco_randez.jpg
they should do a hd remake or something :/
Well, this is already HD, but I would love a remake in Unity's engine with better graphics & gameplay. Or maybe a 1080p port of AC1-3 for PS4/XBO.
Andy Gilleand i havent seen it on pc i dont think
gorillazwiki My video is the PC version. I think it was max settings but I'm not 100% sure.
Altiar was the only character psychotic enough to be a believable assassin.
I really miss first game things. It was darker, more mysterious. I wish Altair has a trilogy.
They should make a game about how the Assassins started and how the feud between the Assassins and the Templars started
That'd be really awesome.
Right? I mean there's no explanation of how each group got started
+Robdiculous ikr
You want the real life history on how both organizations started? I can easily give you that. Although it's not as flashy as the fiction in the game.
I would love that 😔
But you can also read the books.
I love how the one city advisor has the same voice as Leonardo Da Vinci in Assassin's Creed II lol
“Ah, you found another one! How exciting!” - Leonardo Da Vinci, ACII
I love that character😂

I wouldn't exactly call it similar, but most of them do get developed.
i dont give a fuck what any one says this is still my favorite one...
This was so good, thanks a ton for making this, it has really helped me be able to understand what's going on in AC2! A phenomenal story!!
The conversations between Altair and Al-Mualim is very compelling.
that was fucking epic. nice work. the first assassin's creed game is by far the best in my opinion. it tells the better story about the war that is going on between the assassins & the templars.
I came hoping there was a movie about a game I like, nope. But, I appreciate your hard work.
Mike Young q movie is coing
there is one now!!! andit is quite good. not the same storyline exactly, but good movie nonetheless
I liked this game a lot....
It really took skills to play this game. Now Ubisoft payed attention to the fun factor and made the more recent ones easy.
In AC1, the skill and timing it took to play this game made you feel kinda good.
"Another WORD and I'll put my BLADE to your THROAT"
love the way he says that line.
i found your chanel from reddit and now im gobsmacked by the quality of content you upload!! thank you so much for entering my universe so i can binge watch all the AC games without having to replay them AND finally watch the order 1886!!
FreakDaMIghet
also i find the dialogue and misterious plot from this game much more engaging. no wonder it made the best Assassins book.
FreakDaMIghet
That's why the first one is so boring to a lot of people though. Honestly when I played it I couldn't even finish it because it was way too repetitive.
Yeah. It gt boring for me too, but I was determined to finish it. Its not horrible, but its linear as hell. You know...up until the ending when it got all sci-fi on our asses.
Does anyone else notice that altiar's voice sounds just like connor's voice
John Arrieta I thought it was familiar lol
YES that's true when I saw a cutscene i said maybe it's ac3
Puglous it's not completely identical but I thought it was similar, maybe it's just the lack of emotion in his voice
Erik Belland to me he sounds like a robot
lone wolf kind of yeah, he's got a very neutral tone to his voice, not really a lot of emotion
Altair always has and always will be the best Assassin!!!! Love 💘 💘 💘 💘 Altair.
Thank you so much for these! I love the games, however I tend to never finish the games, even though I love the stories. These movies of yours allow me to finish and enjoy the stories without having to finish the games! Thank you!
Keep making these kind of videos of every game possible, I just love your videos

Altaïr, my friend. You must help me.
You put a lotta effort in this.
Hats off dude. Hell of a show.
The writers on the first games were so much better than whoever is responsible for the complete mess of the recent games
this game is the longest play time of all assassins creed games
Definitely not true. Assassin's Creed 4 is most likely the longest.
Oh ok. I havent finish black flag yet
I've completed them all so...
I think AC3 is long
I heard a real assassins creed movie is coming out on December,21st 2016, starring Michael Fassbender from X-men first class and that the movie will start off with AC1 with altiär, also that the next assasins creed takes place in during the 7 year war war with Britain and France and might give players more incite of what happened after the events of AC3 ( after Desmond's body was recovered)
Robert Hawke thanks Robert. as I do have an Xbox ill probably buy Rogue then when I buy a PS4 ill get unity and play it so I understand the story
Ooooooo
Altairs Story was the best I ever played in a video game series!!!
I just want to say Thank You for all your uploads. Im reminiscing .
This is awesome man, great job. Ha I've got Altiar's outfit on revelations, love his suit and armor.
1:13:55 Got what he deserved lmfao
how you get his suit
I wouldn't take my word for it, but if I'm correct you have to buy it with ubisoft points from the Ubisoft club.
Andy Gilleand Oh and nice work for this video, i liked it, are there videos like this for other games of the AC game series?
Vlad Can Shuffle I think your memory is confusing AC2 with Brotherhood. AC2 combat was significantly harder than AC1. It was basically the exact same system with a more consistent counter, only it took a LOT longer to actually kill anyone, especially the brutes. Watch my AC2 movie, you'll see me go unarmed half the time because the easiest way to kill anyone in AC2 is to go unarmed and steal their weapon. Otherwise you'll be clanging away with your sword for a LONG time.
and yeah, check my channel, I've done movies for every major AC game
Andy Gilleand Yeah maybe I remember ACB more, I just started playing again the series :) OK I have already subbed you
Assassin's Creed is the best game ever , I specially like the 1st one !
Thank you for making movies of the games. I don't play the games but I like the story/movie version. :)
Thank you for uploaded this. I will definitely watch the rest of your AC movies series
When they start making AC5, they should really look at this game again and go back to the basics first.

Thank you so much for uploading this. ^^ I got really tired of the gameplay in AC1, but I really wanted to know the story. :)
Love how you took out the tutorial of the game. I know it was needed but it took so long my opinion.
Dosent Altair have a good English accent at the beginning
best script ever. ACII story is good but people are blind to call that better then this just because they're lazy play and carefully hear all dialogues.
But this game does have the worst gameplay...
If only they had subtitles. I can't understand anything because for some odd reason I have trouble understanding what people in videos or movies are saying. I'm one third through the game right now and I still scarcely have a clue on what's going on.
I have pretty horrible hearing. I'm pretty reliant on subtitles.
the dialogues are what actually made ac ii the best for me tbh. and there's this thing called plot and background, which involves dialogue, so excuse you if you've mistaken it as "lazy play"
I must say I liked the old death sequences more ...when you just hold them in your hands as they shared the secrets before dying. It was better in my opinion.
So confused why it was different in my playthough. Thanks for clearing that up. Seems the steam pc version still uses the old ones.
Indeed; not only did I enjoy the death sequences more, I believe that the overall way they handled the story was much better.
No it's when the game 'glitches' if u press a it does that pme
that was so awesome , u made decide to play this game thx so much .
u start off as Altair, a very arrogant master assassin, who breaks the 3 important tenants of the creed.he later gets devoted to a novice & stripped of is armor/weapons. now he has to earn his honor back by assassinating the nine templar knights that he was assigned by his mentor, Al Mualim. when confronting Robert de Sable, he finds out that there is a tenth templar. Altair hurries back to Masyaf to find out that Al Mualim is the templar. after killing his mentor, Altair retreives the piece of eden & is informed that there are more pieces of eden.
Sigh... Hello Desmond :(
Assassin's creed is like the Lord of the rings movie trilogy. You can't compare because they are all one. I mean each starts from the end of the one before..... well except for ac4...but still....also I know a lot of people didn't play ac4 because they didn't like ac3.... it is much better and you must get freedom cry..... plus check out ***** HE is AWESOME!!!!!!!!
i love that 10 fps
Even though this OS basically a play through of the actual game, I still find this very entertaining. Altaïr is and always will be my favorite assassin :) . Thank you for uploading this!
It's gonna take me a long time to watch these assassin's creed vids you made, but thanks for all your long hours you put in. I know editing is hard work.
This is the first assasins creed right? Sorry idk how but i have never heard if the game until now and I am really into this series.

xXpertGamer Xx Will it expand upon the game canon or is it going to be an adaptation?
Andy Gilleand great job dude we Gamers all appriciate your work fundamentaly :)
I'm planning to start with the second game so I'm watching this to catch up with the first game's storyline. Thank you so much for uploading this!
they should set an Assassin's Creed in the Samurai Times. Boy that will be sick!
That's part of the reason why the performance seems so wooden, he was just made out to be some kind of cowboy :|
Thank Christ they didn't make that mistake with Roger Craig Smith in Ezio's case.
I like both versions. I do think the accent obviously makes more sense, but there's something interesting about this version too.
@ 2:09:36 God, I love that line.
Wish they remade AC1-ACBrotherhood.
KrysalisX
Theirs a reason why I said "wish" buddy
KrysalisX
Probably the dumbest shit I've ever heard anyone say.
+TheSupersam619 yeah, not someone to invite to a birthday party! lol Blow out the candles "And your wish won't come true". sad face
The Mudpit
HAHA he probably wished for his father to come home but never did. That's why he hates wishes XD
Totally agree
Thanks, saved me from having to play it, was just looking for a lore dump. Recommend watching on 1.5x speed.
Who else could remember the very first assassins creed game that they played, but still come on RUclips and watch the full game after the all of these years...
