Another epic fight. It's probably up there as one of my favourite in the game, even if it doesn't appear to be the most difficult. It's a fight that really rewards you for knowing the boss attacks and patterns, and another fast paced one that reacts based on your positioning. Once you learn that, you know pretty much how and when he's going to attack consistently, and when you're going to get the stagger. I could've burned him down a faster, but I wanted to show off a few of the attacks. I also wanted to have the defeat include the stagger animation during his big ground slam attack during phase two, as I thought it looked pretty cool. I had a lot of fun with it, but a little sad now there's only one boss. Might wait a day or so before tackling that to make sure I have everything wrapped up for all the endings, achievements and whatnot.
Game progression: I'll be progressing through the game naturally, trying to find all the side-dungeons and bosses along the way, and post them as I go. I won't be farming for levels or materials, but at the same time I won't be actively avoiding them to keep under level either. There may be some bosses I miss along the way and come back to later, or naturally I might end up stronger for some fights compared to others as I progress. I'll be uploading all bosses, so some will obviously be a lot easier than others. The strategies I show will work regardless of level or upgrades though, as shown by all the previous FromSoftware boss fights uploaded on the channel. Feel free to check those out too! By this stage, I did end up actively avoiding leveling up for around 60 bosses in total, and I haven't farmed anything in between.
Repeat bosses: There's quite a few repeat bosses in different zones that are essentially the same fight, but I'll still be uploading each individual one to show the location of them. As I'll eventually have a no damage all bosses compilation, I want to include every single one, even if they are repeats. It does mean some will appear multiple times without significant differences to them, but I'd rather just have each of them individually on the channel to show the locations, rather than pick or choose a single one to upload and skip the rest.

Ok, that crit while his AoE went off was sick. This guy might be my favorite boss in the series, his attacks are just so fun to dodge. Now that you're almost at the end, do you think you'll do a boss ranking or something? I'd love to see your opinions on the bosses.
One of my favorite fights in the game, never felt unfair. Not too hard and not too easy.
A little too easy. His health is too low during 2nd phase
I did this fight 1st time not too difficult. 2nd time it felt very unfair some reason. 2nd phase just never leaves any opening. He attacks finishes his combo then immediately starts another with wild delays and timings.

One of the best bosses (and overall characters) that FromSoftware ever introduced.
Godfrey is absolutely astounding.
And strong enough to take on Placidusax on his own while the dragon was still in his prime, unlike us who fight him while he's basically drowzy from his long time sleep AND crippled by the battle against Godfrey himself

We NEED a dlc in the future where we either fight Serosh, or we fight alongside Godfrey against a crazy boss, something like the Burnt Ivory King fight in DS2 but instead of a bunch of knights we just get Godfrey
Maybe we will get to witness his past as the king consort, even though I would be more interested in seeing Radagon in his prime. We only get to see a "damaged" version of him, I want to see more

Im fighting this guy with unsheathe as my weapon art, after the halfway cut scene my character is always in the unsheathe stance without me even touching the trigger. Anyone else have this bug?
It happens with other bosses too. I had this quirk with Fire Giant

I know the dialog is very out of context from the greater story in the game... but man does it seem nonsensical and pointlessly convoluted. I may get around to playing it eventually but honestly from the story beats seen in the videos of Eso, it does not seem like that good of a story.
You sure? I thought it was pretty clear. With the Flame of Ruin and the Rune of Death unbound (Fire Giant and Maliketh) the thorns around the Erdtree are gone and the path to Marika and the Elden Ring are accessible. Godfrey here goes to the capital in an attempt to take the it for himself and become Elden Lord once again. He lays the remains of his son, Morgott, to rest and challenges you to single combat for the right to go inside the Erdtree. You battle for a while, then Godfrey kills his beast regent Serosh, dousing himself in its blood and removing his limiter, allowing himself to fight you at full strength as Hoarah Loux, from the opening. Upon his defeat he recognizes your strength, saying that it befits a crown, seeing as he got his crown with strength as well.
Well, I hope I made it clear for you. Godfrey is one of my favorite bosses in this game.

People play FromSoft games for the satisfying gameplay, as there is not a story in the obvious traditional sense that you see nowadays in games like Horizon, God of War, etc. There is however amazing lore for those willing to piece it together through listening to NPC dialogue and reading item descriptions.
This games is such a disappointment. Story sucks, PVP sucks, bosses suck, and the difficulty sucks. Too easy and the final boss is a penis dragon...
Dang that's allot of suck. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. This is my first From game, and I think it is amazing. Some enemies are pretty difficult, but once you beat them you get a feeling of accomplishment. It's the first game that's made me feel like that in a long time.
Videos of some of your boss fights please, otherwise no one believes you
@@MegaLotusEater Yeah, nobody expected him to back up his posturing. Probably couldn't beat the first enemy he saw and just rage quit the game.
