Your video of Mohg, Lord of Blood, took me from only occasionally getting to phase 2 to always getting to phase 2 with no flasks used, after which phase 2 was a matter or patience and some non-terrible RNG.
ive found alot of fights that I thought were rng are entirely position based, like maliketh will keep comboing if you are too far away but not too close, but when you move during the combo close he will cut the combo short and do the arm raise for the knife stab straight down and give you that big opening
Godfrey is an underratedly hard boss. There's very little punish windows and even less opportunities to heal. Any time you heal at an inappropriate time you're gonna lose more hp than you gained.
I love how straightforward Godfrey/Hoarah Loux is. A perfectly balanced challenge with some of the coolest spectacle in the game! If you stick to that left leg real close you can get away with just pivoting around him instead of dodging, allowing you to get extra hits in. Also in his first phase you can actually get damage in between the hits of his linear earthquake move, no need to run away. You can actually that explosion. This doesn't apply to his earthquake move in his second phase though, that one you genuinely need to RUN lol. Great guide Josh! I'll catch you in the streams!
You're right! I specifically teach people to run away because it's a far more consistent way to get through the attack without taking damage. It's just cleaner and also allows for a moment to recover stamina and the player to center themselves for the next bout. See you in stream! :D

@thejoshfeed How the F does the camera always stay oriented so perfectly!?!?!? Every time I dodge he gets lost in the corner of the screen and by the time I reorient the camera (on auto center btw) he’s on the move.

Whoever Designed his second phase desevres to be fired. This boss is nothing but pure cancer. Its not only not just balanced but the chances of dodging his attacks are less than 0.1%. im about to jump of a cliff because of this Cancer dog godfrey

The AOE that takes up most of the arena is not balanced. Other than that, fun boss.

I used shamshir and scavengers curved sword. Shamshir has frost on it, never used the ash of war. Scavengers has seppuku on it.
