I really like first phase, honestly one of the best in the game. I don't like WhoreA Loux phase though. Dragonlord Placidusax takes #1 spot for me in this game
I remember getting to his cutscene first try the problem is I had died before he went into this cutscene and he's just having this monologue to my corpse it was hilarious then it ended and I got the you died

I got to him and summoned two people we began to fight him we get him to close to death then I die and the teammate kill him but when I respawned I still had to fight him again, then 56 attempts later I finally killed him again. Would be the best Boss in the game if they put a cool down timer on his stomps, they are the definition of spam. He and all the godskins were my wall that I had a hard time getting over.
Fr when he goes into vape lord with a axe, he doesn’t stop stomping. I deadass ran around the arena for 10 minutes just waiting for him to do something other than the arena stomp so I can heal
I can dodge the stomps. The grab attacks are my bane. First phase is easy AF but second phase is hard AF. His claw attacks are hard to dodge consistently
Great damn guide. His tutorial works beautifully. I beat him on my 4th try. Realizing that close is better than running away spamming attacks. When he starts running at you. Roll towards and to his left . And he won't grab you. Than blast him. The blasphemous blade works great and breaks his poise constantly. Both stages
Goooooooooooooooodddddd fooooorrrrrrrr yooooooouuuuuuu!!!!!! I'm not bitter smh after how many attempts. This man is a straight up suplex God and is very scary.
I'll be honest. I wanted to do all the end game boss without summon and that's more fun this game can offer. I took nearly 5 hours to beat this boss. By the end I mastered the 1st phase with little to no damage taken. I learnt what I was doing wrong with 2nd phase - Rushing in. Patience is once again the key. Man the Joy of beating him was off the sky. An honored fight TBH. Thanks for the tip, Johnny.
He keeps fucking spamming that dash aoe stomp attack and it's getting on my nerves. It's not letting me fucking heal, he did it like 6 times in a row, what the actual fuck am I supposed to do with it
For some reason I was stuck on this boss longer then on Melania... Melania went pretty good with my Guts Greatsword build but Hoarah Loux phase i could barely get any hits in without being punished and basically only the very quick ones after a roll. After many many tries I decided to cheese him with Hoarfrost Stomp.
I beat him today with a Guts greatsword build, second phase was extremely hard to get any attacks in. Took me 40 tries just because the second phase was so rough for the slow build.
Yeah this guy is harder than Melania for me. For Melania her attacks are more telegraphed and i can parry her. of course i need Bloodhound Step just to dodge her cheap flurry. The Elden Lord unique barehand style and delayed grabs are hard for me to telegraphed it flawlessly. mightbe it's the first souls boss that has fighting style like this one. and all his grab can destroy my 80 % of my life. got him down to 1 last hit on his second phase, went in for the final hit but he insta grabbed me with no time to react - this happened twice, that's when i stopped playing for a couple days
This boss is worse than Malenia. For me of course. Why? Because his attacks are delayed, and through the whole game I had problems with delayed attacks. Malenia's attacks are very fast, but telegraphed right before attack. Godfrey/Hoarah Loux telegraphs an attack way before he actually goes in on it and that throws me off completely.
Honestly, his second phase is just complete bullshit if you’re not using summons. I’ve been stuck on him for a couple days now, and it’s really frustrating how much he just constantly spams stuns and grabs. Not to mention, his grabs literally have a nearly 180 degree radius in front of him, as he’ll just snap to the side when he actually throws the grab.

I've noticed a lot of differences between the playthrough I've had and others' playthroughs. 1) I also had 2 separate healthbars on this boss, though I found at least 1 other video on this guy where he had 2 health bars, 2) I saw a sparkle boy-beetle in a Ymfah video that dropped a special weapon upgrade material that I did not find on my playthrough, and 3) The weapon upgrade materials on mine seem to have actual names (Hard, Large Hard, Polar, etc.), whereas in several others' playthroughs now, theirs just go by numbers and that's it. Such a fun fight. First phase has the perfect difficulty where he's hard, but still feels very fair. And second phase is the difficulty stepped up a notch. Still feels fair but is a big test on your patience, roll timing, and overall reading an enemy's moveset. 10/10 fight.
Worse part of this is the stomp spam, the 100 million grabs, and the attack where he flails his arms around like a windmill so it’s basically impossible to dodge Worse is that mohg’s spear is that it’s slow to hit, does good damage, but the weapon art is almost useless without a summon/second player
