For better success with your corn plant them in a square, minimum 3 rows x 3 rows (9plants). They are wind pollinated and need to be close to each other. One pollinated silk equals one corn kernel.

We have 16 pecan trees on our 1/2 acre lot. I like that idea of using leaves as mulch!
I think it’ll need to be replaced before the fall, but I’m happy about free!

Also, you should make one bed just for carrots because carrots don’t like to be disturbed they don’t like to be really Plan with a lot of other things so I’ve been doing four or five years now just making one bed carrots and I’ve been successful. You know carrots in the first two or three weeks are very delicate you got a constantly Water them young seedings until they get established and then after that, they’re good to go, but I would make what I’ve learned is make one bed or carrots. I also make one bed for potatoes one bed for my garlic for sure, and one well onions are pop all around but I would like to make one bed for onions as well. I got seedling onions, seeds Getting big now before I end up popping them in somewheres…🌱🌱🥕

Awesome! Love seeing all the fodder trees! I may have overdone it over here: I can’t get anything else to grow well due to too much shade. But I will adapt. The most important thing for me right now is shade for my rabbits in the summer. Let me know if you guys are ever interested in satinized Rex; they’re my new favorite. You know I’d hand deliver some to you!
