Watched a similar approach somewhere in Africa, it was amazing how quickly the land went from barren land to lush green. Even if it takes time to really give effect, just seing the berms create a minipond and hold water so quickly is amazing. Instant reward!

Always love seeing what all y’all are doing on your homestead! Being from Texas (we live in North Central Texas) I know what you mean regarding the rainy season! We only have a 1/2 acre lot, but we do have a garden. My husband (now 82) was raised on a farm and always wanted a place with acreage. My one regret is that I wouldn’t give in to that in the early years of our marriage 😢
