The cult tracks in TM definitely matter and u do get bonuses it’s just done through the round bonuses. I think it’s interesting part of the game and influences your faction selection. Enjoy your reviews and looking fwd to the rest of the top 100. I know I will get Gaia Project at some point.
Gaia project is a game I would consider if the price point was lower. T.M. never attracted me, but this looks like a more approachable/accessible version. T.M. 1.25, haha
Agree with most of what you say, except I really like the solo game. The Automa basically gets free points/actions so it can stay stream lined. Otherwise, you would have to invest more time in controlling the Automa. Its really simulating point scoring, not actual play. Also, components are mostly an upgrade, but the board warping issues suck. I've only played 6-8 times and the Terrans don't seem balanced.
This will definitely be a try before you buy kind of game for me. Since I don't know almost anyone who purchases games near me, I assume this means I will just be skipping this one.
Watching this 2 years later. "Component quality is better!" Wait wtf are you smoking? Shitty plastic buildings instead of those amazing wooded components? :/
Exactly the same as Terra Mystica you say... well then it's an automatic pass for me. TM is just a bunch of euro mechanism stacked on top of eachother. Totally un-fun. Your review is good though :)

Those mechanics make sense at least, even from thematic perspectives. This kind of games should be complex to deliver the experience :)
I really respect your cost of replacement advice for those without disposable income. There are so many great games out there right now.

Played tm twice, and gp once, got 97 points but hated the straitjacket experience.
I disagree about automa difficulty. 100 points is not a big deal in this game.
