In summer we are often out early to escape the heat and enjoy the beautiful mornings in the mountains. And so today we went up to Gimmelwald with the Schilthornbahn and hiked into a beautiful valley.

Really a hidden gem! Rasta seems to be very happy seeing so much water :) This is the first time I see traces of an avalanche. Very interesting indeed.

Yep, the Sefinental is one of my favorite's quiet valleys also. Love it, although you said before, the new cable car to Schilthorn won't be stopping anymore at Gimmelwald but goes strait to Murren! Which I think is pretty sad.. The hike down from Gimmelwald to Stechelberg is lovely and manegable for older ppl and dogs! From Murren down to Stechelberg it's too long for older ppl and dogs..
There is still a cable car going up to Gimmelwald - don't worry:)
Just went to Switzerland 10~14 June. From Zurich airport to Interlaken was just 2.5 hrs of train. There we took 30 min of train to Lauterbrunnen, which is already a scenic place to visit. From there we rode a cable car to Murren. Leisurely you may walk from Murren to the paradise Gimmelwald. highly recommended hiking route.

@@SylviaMichelPhotography Ive been in Swiss two times, untill now. This year, i stayed one week and I visited a part of Bern Canton and I used Bernese Oberland Pass. Is there a similar pass in Uri or Valais? 🤔
