ESPN released their 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year rankings on Thursday morning.
Considering that the race is basically between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese at this point, there was a lot of intrigue about which of them two would take the top spot; especially because we're now at the mid-way point of the regular season.

If ESPN is willing to hand over the ROTY to AR despite all that CC has done so far this year, then it seems that nothing CC can do will change that. Let them just hand the ROTY to AR today. They are already giving rebounds to AR when she gets ball while standing out of bounds. This whole thing looks like a set up from the very beginning. They are basing the votes on the turnovers from CC and ignoring all the other stats she has including all the records she has broken. They are using all the straight double doubles AR has despite the fact that she was out of bounds for the so called tenth straight game in a row. and they gave her the rebound just so it would count for the stat. They are completely disrespecting all the achievements CC has made. They can't stop CC's game no matter how hard they try using every possible means including her coach to hold her back. No matter what stats ESPN is looking at CC is still the overall rookie of the year and even AR knows it, and more importantly the fans know it. CC is not the one bitching about the stats, she does not bad mouth all the other players, she does not blame her team members for any of the losses.
