- I need to fit Pamela Jean for a new dress I'm sewing, but she's being a bit difficult today. 😫 It's time to tell her I mean business.
Crinkly pattern handling, lint removing, measuring and writing, with combination of gentle soft spoken and whispers.
This video is a tribute to Maria @GentleWhisperingASMR. I can't really do her justice, but I just LOVE her dress/suit fitting videos. Check these out for lots of tingles!

Thank you again to one of my long-time viewers, @rhododendron. 🌺, who provided the 1960s vintage fabric remnant used in this video.

I just found this channel by accident. The first time I experienced asmr was with my grandma at Joann fabrics. I loved going in and watching them unroll the fabric, measuring it and using the metal scissors to cut it. And then going home and watching my grandma put together and outfit. The paper pattern sounds are one of my favorite sounds in the world. My grandma passed away three years ago and she was my home. I miss her so much but this video brought back a lot of happy memories and I am so glad I stumbled upon this video. I can’t help but laugh because I would get so aggravated standing there while she would do my measurements and she would get mad that I was getting mad 😂 thank you so much for this video!
Welcome! 😅
This is such a wonderful comment. So glad you shared these memories with me. ✨✨✨
The stern “Pamela Jean”. 😂 Love this! Definitely a new favorite!
I remember my Mother using paper pattern's to make my dresses . It's more exciting watching your clothes being made , than buying them off the rail . Happy memories 😊
Joan, my mother made soooo many clothes for me and my brother. We loved everything she made for us. I still have a little jeans jacket she made when I was probably 7 or 8. She embroidered little forest animals all over it. I absolutely thought I was the coolest kid in school. 😂😂 The little jacket is featured in the following video if you’d like to see it.

I remember falling asleep at night to the sound of my mother sewing my clothes and Halloween costumes. I loved going to Joannes and looking through their books and finding the patterns in their cabinets and then following mom through the store picking out fabrics and notions. This is wonderfully nostalgic.
Me, too. I did all of this.
I think you and my mom are close in age. I asked her if grandma ever told her she was gonna jerk a knot in her tail because I’d never heard it before but liked the sound of it. She said no, but that grandma’s threat was that she was “gonna knock them pizzle end up” lol.
In the 80’s & 90’s my mom always made my dresses, this brought back so many fond memories for me ❤
Pattern crinkling is a core nostalgic trigger for me. Loved the POV camera angle and your sassy roleplay, Sherri. Cheers! ☮️💟
First time Maria did that angle I just about lost my mind. 🫠
Pamela Jean is my mothers name so this was such an amazing start to the video and immediately I was hooked 🥰🙏🏼
Ha!!! That’s so cool. 💚💚💚
This brings back memories!
My mom used to make a lot of clothes. I loved watching her, and listening to the pattern crinkles.
I loved going to the fabric store with her. Listening to the pattern books being flipped through, and the searching for the pattern.
I still get relaxed going into a fabric store.
Looks like you and I had the same childhood. 🌺🌺
I am remembering your amazing mother and her unparalleled seamstress skills.
Ah, KindColorado. You and me both. 🥹
Lucky Pamela!! She gets a handmade dress!👗 ❤
one of my favorite things in my youth was watching my mom pin the pattern on the fabric...and now I know why! It was pre-ASMR... 🥰
You are absolutely correct about that.
This past week I have been suffering with some sort of something. Tested negative for Covid, but still really sick. Your videos have brought me so much comfort. Vicks on the chest, tea, and cinnamon toast, and your voice as I drifted off to sleep. Was like getting a hug from my mom. Which is kinda weird, because you and I are probably close to the same age! But just the same, your videos bring back so many lovely memories. Thanks you for all your hard work.
I’m sorry you’re feeling awful, Joanne. Vicks to the rescue, as always. I wonder if this one might help, too?

Oh how I adore your style!! The vintage lint roller is deliciously tingly✨! Thank you for the love and care that goes into these productions ❣️ Had to get a comment in before sleep this time, 🤗
Thank you so much!!
One of your best-nostalgia pure and simple as so many regular women sewed in the past. We all remember and thank you!👏🏼❤️
I’m so happy you think so. I have wonderful memories associated with my mother sewing for me.
Can you make a fitting series like this one? Oh and please please use the magical lint roller from this video. The non-sticky (with the tiniest click sounds when you press down) makes my brain so happy. You deserve so many more followers. ❤
Yes, I definitely plan to do another one of these. ☺️☺️
Omggggg my mom's name is Pamela Jean and her mom is a seamstress, the beginning of this video felt so surreal
Oh really!! I bet it did!!! 💚💚💚
This is great and so comfortingly realistic with the slightly irritable mother and antsy daughter. Pamela should be more grateful for her mother’s ASMR-inducing talents! 😂
She SHOULD be more grateful!! 😂😂😂 Well, she was certainly like I was as a teenager-never convinced mom needed to take my measurements. . . AGAIN. 😂 But boy do I have the most wonderful memories of my mom sewing for me. 🌺🌺
You can definitely see and hear Maria’s fitting video inspirations in this ❤❤
This is so lovely ✨✨ having flashbacks when I use to go with grandma to fix some dresses in town✨✨✨✨✨✨
13:30 🔥🔥🔥 Such a good one. We always talk about the details but my favorite touch here was the little notebook that you wrote the measurements into around 6 minutes in. It looked and sounded like the kind of notebook she had been using for a long time. The details means so much. Thanks Sherri.
Ooh!! Very observant. She also has past Christmas lists in there for the kids, some recipes, party planning. She loves her little notebook. 💚💚💚
love the crinkly sounds of the pattern! and I always feel like I learn something from your videos, it just shows how much research you put into them :)
That’s wonderful to hear.😌😌😌
My goodness! I didn’t even realize I took a cat nap to this. 😅 I feel better 😊
Perfect! My job here is done. 💚💚💚
Yes Maria’s prom dress fitting video is one of my favorites… love your videos Sherri brings me back to childhood in the 60’s and the Avon videos ahhh heavenly…
Thank you my dear.
❤ That little creaking floor sound❤
☺️☺️☺️
This is pure gold!!! Just wonderful.
Omg, it’s 1965 again, and my mother is fitting a dress for me!
Thank you!!! Glad to see you've healed well.
Thank you! I have. ☺️☺️
I remember this fabric, my grandma had curtains in her basement that looked like this!💙🤎
Ahhhh the lint roller 🥰❤❤❤
😉💚💚💚
So soothing and accurate in the little details. Your videos are such a treat. Thank you for sharing your art, Sherri.
Thank you so much!
Dont ever stop making these videos ❤ they bring so much calm to my chaotic mind 😂❤
I’m not planning to anytime soon, as long as I don’t get hit by a bus. 😂😂
@@MidModMeridianASMR noooooooo! Don't say that 😕 😭😭
😂
Just had to alter a formal (prom) dress for my daughter with my Mums help. The fussing was real!
Mum and I were taken aback because we both had happy memories of our mother sewing us dresses or making alterations.
Thanks for your lovely video and inspo from the wonderful Maria.
Haha!! I definitely used to be the “fusser” when my mom was making my clothes. Would love to relive one of those moments now. 💚
You “play” a really good mom! 💜
Thank you!!! 🌺🌺 I’m just mimicking memories of my own mother. I was never able to have kids.
I absolutely love this! Reminds me of when my Nanny in WV used to make some lovely homemade outfits! Always enjoyed hearing the crinkles of her patterns. ❤❤❤
Wonderful! 😌
You manage to nail irritated mom while staying away from passing judgement. When taking the measurements, there's no commentary beyond "see, I did need to do this." It's a subtle thing, but the thoughtfulness it shows to some of us more dysmorphic folk is very appreciated.
What a wonderful and thoughtful comment. One thing my mother always did was make me feel like I mattered in the world. 🌺
Your videos always feel so real and authentic. Thank you so much for all that you do ❤
You are so welcome!
Excellent video. It's great to know that someone is still creating real ASMR content. Congrats!
Thank you! 😊
I couldn’t help but laugh when you said “jerk a knot in your tail’. Haven’t heard that in a long time 😂
😂😂 My mom used to say that to me and my brother ALL the time.
The MidMod extended universe keeps growing!
Little by little. 😉
Those are some of my favorite videos of Maria’s too and I danced on my tippy toes in excitement when I saw you had posted this.
Am deal with a rough breakup right now so this was perfectly timed. Thank you for your amazing asmr. You’re my most favorite song with latte and Maria!
I’m so sorry about your breakup, opalescent. I’m glad I can offer some degree of comfort. 🥺💚
Ahhh, yes. I loved your other two fabric videos so much, I’m so glad you uploaded another one! 😍Thank you for your hard work! Just in time for my two days off… I am going to sleep so well 😴🥱
Glad you like them, Jess!! 💚💚
“Pamela Jean!” Awesomely sweet, terrifying, magnificent! Great vid!
Ha!!!! I just love this trio of adjectives. 😂😂😂💚
Wow I loved the soft sounds of that lint roller ❤
I'm so glad!
I love that noise of paper. I remember me that my mother make a dress for my. A blue dress. I love that dress.
I make dresses to. And my son makes dresses for his dauchter.
I will never forget my mother sewing for me. ☺️✨✨
im honestly surprised why your channel doesn’t have like a 1mm subs youre so talented and make me fall eep all tbhe time
What a kind and supportive comment. 💚💚💚✨
Hugs from Brazil, I see your videos to sleep and work, they relax me a lot 🇧🇷❤️
Happy to hear that! Hugs right back. 💚💚
Feels like vintage version of Maria (Masha)!
Thank you, Hannah!!!
Soooo relaxing
I wish I didn’t find sewing so tedious! I would love to experience the rite of passage of makings my own clothes.
Worst part for me is finding a spot to lay out large pieces of fabric. I have a bad back and a bad knee so crawling on the floor is not an option but I love putting on clothing I’ve made myself. It’s so rewarding but definitely not an easy skill to learn imo.
Love this new idea x
Thank you! 😊
This is 100x better than the video you referenced. So good. Brings me back to the good ole days.
That’s very sweet of you to say.
Reminds me of being with my mom
😌🌺🌺🌺
Maybe a weird observation but you have beautiful hands!! And I love your ASMR🥰
☺️ thank you 💚
My mama used to make her own dresses when she was younger and she will randomly make us a skirt or something when she has time🥹🥹❤
This lady was at Waedeen’s Tupperware party and bought Avon from Sherri recently.
You’re good!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Made me remember sewing shirts with collars and yokes
Collars can be a pain.
No kidding.
goosebumps on my head thank you 😊
Perfect. ☺️☺️☺️
I almost apologized for moving! This was wonderful
Ha!!! 😂
How amazing
There was a time when young ladies were taught about making clothes. And basic cookery. And cleaning. Life skills! Boys were handed baseballs, footballs and hockey pucks and told to go play outdoors.
You are right about that!!
This reminds me of my mother and I. She used to sew so well. That trait didn’t pass on to me. I swear her machine hated me. I made some things for my daughters when they were young as my mom assisted me. Good memories
That trait didn’t pass on to me either. Or at least the desire for it. My mom did teach me to see though. 😌
Fabulous darling 🥰🥰
I'm a new subscriber and have yet to see a video all the way through. Thanks for the zzz's.
Welcome! 💚😴😴
@@MidModMeridianASMR thank you!
💜
❤❤❤
💚💚💚
The woman’s name is Marilu (or Marilou). Or Mary Lou.
What color nail polish is that? I’ve seen it on your other videos and I love it.
OPI Aphrodite’s Pink Nightie. 😂😂 love the name.
Oh my. I’m tinkling a bit giggling at that name ! 😂
❤🇬🇧
Was that really the rule at Jo Ann Fabrics? You could buy the fabric at half off if you let the store display it for a month? Thats interesting.
Absolutely! My mom used to do it all the time. She’d make clothes for her and for me and my brother and display them there first. We spent so much time at Jo Ann Fabrics that by the time I was in high school, the manager up and hired me part time. I loved working there. (That was in the 70s though 😂😂) Here are a couple of fabric store videos that explain it.

I was searching through the comments section for an explanation for this, thank you!!
“Calm down!”
😂😂
Ope! Mom used the Daughters middle name. She best get Her butt in gear, lol😅
Yes, ma’am!! 😂
You georgous lady, you.
Ahh.
How could ya be so fine.
She talks so softly.
And it is really really niiiice.
Why does she do what she does.
It doesn't really matter
It's just simply because.
The phone🥹♥️
Ah, yes. All things turquoise. ✨✨✨
Do we get to see the dress?
And the miracle of movie magic is [drum roll] . . . 🥁 🥁 🥁 . . . there is no dress. 😂 I haven’t sewn IRL for over 30 years. Now I just play a seamstress on TV. 😉💚💚
I dont know what that stuff is all over my shirt but I definately DO NOT have a stray cat in my closet😅
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Why does this remind me of the movie Ode to Billie Joe?
I love your videos and I love the inspiration for this one, and the lovely crinkles. Unfortunately the fussing at “Pamela” made me tense rather than relaxed. I’m hoping for another version of a dressmaking video without this aspect. The rest of it is great and I really love this channel.
There's a new channel that does exactly that. I can't remember the exact name, but the first name is Cindy...
Aww, I’m so sorry about that. Was just recalling my own childhood and adding a bit of realism. I might do another dress fitting someday, and I’ll definitely keep this in mind. Thank you for your feedback. 💚💚💚
@@MidModMeridianASMR your videos are art! I am so grateful for your channel.
Fussing? Please! You must be kidding. That was like church compared to the tongue lashing that a cranky mom might dish out.
Subtitles please ☹️
You're like really natural at what you do
