Essentially the story is as follows, all the girls except Jisoo fall in love with someone that betrays/backstabs them/ they are a major red flag but they don't see that, they are too overwhelmed by their love. Jisoo is trying to save them from the person (symbolized by time and running) but is too late as the car crash symbolizes Jennie unaliving herself, Rose in the tub symbolizes drowning herself and Lisa on top of the building symbolizes her about to jump off
so they all dead but Jisoo 😭😭
This is just a fan theory. And the rest of this is at the end Jisoo drown her self in a pool after she couldnt save her friends and finally all 4 girls get together in the afterlife and enjoying the afterlife together.
Edit: in Love Sick Girls promotional images Jisoo is the only one who open her eyes and other 3 r with close eyes. Fans say it means Jennie, Lisa & Rose suicide and only one left is Jisoo.

As the story goes, Jennie is in a car crash and dies, Lisa gets pushed if by a building ( or just jumped off) and rosè drowns in black paint and jisoo tries to save them but it's too late. Jisoo traps their souls in a hourglass then in pink venom, Jisoo learns black magic and Recalls Jennie in a different car, Lisa enters the building she died off of and recalls Rosè in the same black paint she trapped in and bc of that connection/ theory, people think love sick girls and pink venom are related 💔💔💔

The drug analogy is a good one, although the drug that they're addicted to is love. It's really the same for all of us, we've all been hurt and think we'll never be happy but we always end up looking for someone again.

The song is about persevering after a bad relationship, not giving up. In the moment, when the pain is fresh, they feel like they don't want love, but eventually they continue to seek the right person and find true love, which is what we all want whether we admit it or not.
Their other hit KILL THIS LOVE is very similar in themes, that one is about recognizing the fact that you keep looking for the "wrong" person which continually gets you into toxic relationships. Once you realize this you can "KILL" that kind of love and try to find the right person.
