Flies! Flies! Flies! You are absolute troopers putting up with them for that beauty. Here in Scotland we know all about midges and midge nets! Isn't Olivia growing? Such smiles. Every blessing on your lovely family. Keep the adventures coming. ❤
This is such a beautiful place to camp, and even though the black flies were beyond irritating, I'm sure, at least you were prepared for it with the face coverings. The trip out on the kayak was gorgeous! You guys are going to work it all out with Olivia, you're doing an amazing thing by venturing out on a wilderness trip with an infant as it is! Before you know it, you'll be sitting at high school graduation wondering where the time went! You do an amazing job here capturing sights and sounds!
Hello, Great video as always. I absolutely hate flies. Being a parent is hard even on the best days. Being a new parent is especially hard, mainly because everything you thought you knew is never enough to prepare you for being the caregiver of such a tiny little life. It can definitely be overwhelming. You are going to do just fine, and you have a great village around you. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Have an amazing week.
Wow! You guys are amazing getting so far into nature with wee Olivia. Parenthood is the hardest, most important role you will ever have and remember to be kind to yourselves in these tiring first months. Your beautiful, healthy little daughter is an amazing tribute to your love for one another! She's a lucky bub to have such devoted parents. The flies would do my head in- loved your headgear to cope with them! Thank you again for sharing these aspects of your world with us! Kia Kaha as we say in New Zealand.
My gosh I never seen so many black flies. But what a beautiful area🌲🌲🌲 Rylie you are such a strong 💪 woman and great mom! Telling us about your anxiety is very personal to some. But it helps to talk about it. I know I've been there. You both are awesome and Olivia is the best! Hope you weren't near any of the smoke from the wild fires from Canada. Been bad here in upstate NY. Well take care and happy trails 🤗🏕💕
You two are great parents. There isn’t a book on raising children, my wife and I had a lot of sleepless nights and now our children are grown we still at times have sleepless nights. I wouldn’t change anything. Blessings.
Hi Jack, Riley, Olivia and Ellie. Beautiful scenery the waterfall is amazing so tranquil there on the lake ,Olivia is getting so big she's adorable, nice seeing the moose and the fox, great you found the crash great video thanks for sharing, stay blessed the waterfall
great video Jack. I'm having issues with tiny gnats. We had such a warm winter here in Southern Iowa that the flies did not die....something I like about winter is it's usually bug free. thanks for taking us along to places I will never go!
Beautiful trip. Thanks for taking us. And sorry about the flys. You guys are an amazing family. Never let that change. Life can get really rough but together you can endure much more. ❤️🙏🏽
Rylee, it won’t be bad for long. Do to the record snowfalls we had (officially by us in northern wisconsin 122”), the puddles left behind created a haven for mosquito hatching! We couldn’t even talk to one another outside, and then the flies came. 🙄 Ticks…I don’t like them either! I always enjoy the videos, keep them coming! Hugs❤
I love watching your videos,You guys are amazing, being first time parents is hard in the beginning, but god is with each and every one of you, make those memories, you got this, god bless you all 🥰🥰
It’s very cool to watch the vlogs of you and Riley maintaining prior family traditions within your own family! It’s a challenge, no doubt, with all of the elements out there. (I.e. intensely pesky/annoying bugs!) Riley, one would never be able to tell that you have anxiety, as you remain so positive and are always smiling. And if I may say, Jack, feel free to share the bottle washing out in the woods. I think I would learn something valuable, even though my ‘baby’ is now 26 years old! Lastly, I am a big fan of Ellie. She’s a remarkable dog with an old soul and energy of a pup! Cheers to you all!
Thank you so much!! And that’s a great reminder to share the little things on here because they really are what make up the reality of these trips for us. 😊
Wow I never seen so many bugs in my life . I hope yall had some bug repellent. Ellie is the perfect little adventurer I hope yall have her on a tick medication. It is very cool to be able to have something very reliable to go off camping in. Great video.
Great video! Riley is a trooper especially coming from California! That is a life changer! This is such a fantastic video with all the wildlife! Olivia will be able to look back at these videos and know that she was part of this all! There are no words for Ellie! She just loves life and is game for anything! Beautiful video and family❤🐾
She hangs in there! We just try to get her in the water to rinse them off and soothe her skin as much as possible. This trip was definitely rough for her unfortunately
What a wonderful area, but those flies were excessive! Rylie I feel you, I suffer from anxiety as well so know what that is like. You are so pretty and that was a beautiful picture of Jack proposing. Parenting is hard, but very rewarding, Olivia is growing so well she is beautiful so you're doing a great job. Ellie is so wonderful she has such a lovely face and I love how glued to you both she is and such an adventurous dog. That was very humbling and emotional finding the plane crash, very sad. When you went out on the lake that was so relaxing and calming, how wonderful and not the mass of flies either. Thanks for showing us xx
Thanks so much! And thank you for being so open about your own anxiety 🙏🏽 We just loved our time up there. It was tough with the bugs but so worthwhile too 😊
you and family had a nice place to go but bad insect at this time of year in Canada GOD bless you and family thank you for the video 👍👍👍 beautiful baby you have GOD bless her ❤
Absolutely stunning scenery! Loved the lake and waterfall! That moose was huge! The dinner looked delicious. Those bugs were horrible! Always wonderful to see beautiful Olivia and Riley. Thank you so much for sharing!
Such a gorgeous place! I had to google to find out more about the crash. Listening now to a story by the man who found the crash….respect for those lost….I love to watch your videos and watch for Olivia to see how she has grown. Yes babies have the ability to stress us, bond us, aggravate us, love us…my oldest will be 40 this year, and my youngest 36…..trust me the time goes so fast….they’re grown and out in what seems a blink of the eye….just do your best, love and support each other, it is worth it in the end. I’ve only been watching since Riley was almost due. Can I ask how long you’ve been together? Ok, now to watch the rest of this video…..Loved seeing the wildlife there….and coming across that 1 moose antler was quite the surprise .

Yes, they can be very dangerous. Dick Proenneke said that he'd rather deal with a Grizzly than a riled up Moose! You have such a beautiful family. God Bless.
@@TinyCabinLife Fortunately you had the right gear with you to deal with them! If you ever see a photo or video of an Aussie in the outback with corks on short strings tied to the brim of his hat, that's to keep the flies away from his eyes. They swing back and forth with the slightest movement and keep them away.
She’s such a beautiful little girl… it’s amazing you guys are doing so much with her at such a young age. I love following along with the channel, just watched the Ellie video which was beautiful as well. Cheers

I'm from Alabama and a very outdoors person BUT OMG. Thank the LORD we don't have bugs like that. I couldn't deal with that,,, but enjoy and nice little camper
Heck, no, I wouldn't be there with all those flies. wouldn't be able to enjoy myself. Your dog went swimming in the lake. Do you not have alligators? There's no way we can do that here in Florida, that's for sure. I love your videos. Your wife is a trooper, that's for sure. Till the next one, be safe.
Something I noticed living in northern MN was that as bad as the deer flies were, if I entered into a building (my open garage), they did not follow me past the doors. Have you experienced the same thing?
That’s interesting! Im not sure with the deer flies actually. Thankfully they weren’t bad here. It was just those little black flies and mosquitoes. Up at our family cabin we have deer flies like crazy though!
Anxiety, tell me about it. I hate it. It sure messes up things. Some people don't realize how it can affect one's life. And then your mind plays games with you. Then the panic attacks start up. Been good so far. I know what to look for and deal with it, but it has been a constant interference in my life. I keep busy all the time, I have to. I admire your courage and how you deal with it. I just love your little cabin. How long did it take to build and the cost? Thanks❤
We know all about what you’re describing. It can be all consuming. Learning to cope is the way to go 🙏🏽 So glad you’ve found ways to do so. The cabin is so good for us! It took about 2-3 weeks worth of work for me to do alone and ended up costing around $6000 in materials. Not too bad!
That’s not a bad idea! I think they’ll be dying off soonish here as well. I’ll have to check on the song for you. It’s from the music library that I use while editing. I’ll try to remember to circle back and let you know!
I’ll give it to you for staying there, the bugs would have driven me away. In the PNW on occasion the yellow jackets just don’t leave you alone. But the swarm of flies you dealt with is crazy. Sorry about that.
@@TinyCabinLife I’ve never seen that many bugs besides videos of wild animals in Africa. Must have been hot & humid with wetlands or swamps, ponds nearby? Bugs… 🐛
hello, love your channel so this may sound weird but how come the bugs were that bad? It really seemed like you guys had to take many preventatives is that always like that?
Thank you so much! Believe it or not, the bugs are usually this bad this time of year up there…it’s yet another thing (like the extreme cold in the winter) that makes Minnesota not for the faint of heart lol. The bugs tend to get better though as the summer rolls on

Haha for real! They are beyond bad here
that was amazing seeing all those wonderful wild animals. But I must admit I was itching just watching all the bugs.
They were the worst I’ve ever experienced 😅
Heck, no, I wouldn't be there with all those flies. wouldn't be able to enjoy myself. Your dog went swimming in the lake. Do you not have alligators? There's no way we can do that here in Florida, that's for sure. I love your videos. Your wife is a trooper, that's for sure. Till the next one, be safe.
No alligators up here! Definitely couldn’t do that in Florida though, you’re right 😊 Thanks so much for watching!
Bass Lake and Big Bear in Cali are the same with flies. We ate in our tent 😂
Oh my God, I could not do mosquitoes, there no way , the baby so cute aww ,
😊
Enjoyed again Stewart family, Jack look up Truck House Life, want be disappointed, about time making a trip to fla, 😊
I’ve seen his stuff! Been subscribed for a while 🙌🏽
Anxiety is real. Hope you can work through it. Life is good!
Thank you 🙏🏽
Anxiety, tell me about it.
How large is your little cabin? It is a very nice setup.
It’s 7x12 feet! Not too big or too small 👍🏽
Thanks for allowing us into your private lives....
Absolutely! 🙏🏽
I avoid hiking in the Adirondacks of NYS in June and July. The black flies are terrible then.
What is the song that played briefly during packing up?
That’s not a bad idea! I think they’ll be dying off soonish here as well. I’ll have to check on the song for you. It’s from the music library that I use while editing. I’ll try to remember to circle back and let you know!
Jack I have a question..what kind if flea and protection do you give Ellie?
She takes NexGard every month 👍🏽
I’ll give it to you for staying there, the bugs would have driven me away. In the PNW on occasion the yellow jackets just don’t leave you alone. But the swarm of flies you dealt with is crazy. Sorry about that.
They’re so incredibly bad! Thankfully we can escape them in the cabin and a little bit with those bug nets, but it’s rough for sure
@@TinyCabinLife I’ve never seen that many bugs besides videos of wild animals in Africa. Must have been hot & humid with wetlands or swamps, ponds nearby? Bugs… 🐛
How often do you have to spray the bug nets with Permethrin?
I think it’s supposed to hold out for like 40 days 👍🏽👍🏽
Raising kids is not easy. You learn as you go and do just fine. Love all of the beauty you show of God’s creation! Thanks!
Thanks so much for the encouragement!
hello, love your channel so this may sound weird but how come the bugs were that bad? It really seemed like you guys had to take many preventatives is that always like that?
Thank you so much! Believe it or not, the bugs are usually this bad this time of year up there…it’s yet another thing (like the extreme cold in the winter) that makes Minnesota not for the faint of heart lol. The bugs tend to get better though as the summer rolls on
It’s totally understandable to be anxious about ticks after your husband got a tick sickness. ♥️
😊🙏🏽

Thanks so much! I thought about bringing the antler back!
Looks like a perfect place to camp, despite the bugs. The lake was gorgeous and the kayaking I imagine was so peaceful!!!
It was the best 😊
Yah, moose are really unpredictable and can just charge! I know this when living in Alaska.
For sure!
Yes I know that's why I don't loan them my credit cards anymore.😊
Olivia bébé, je kiffe ! Il y a des bisous qui se perdent !
OH NO!! you left the moose antler! That would have looked so cool on the cabin!

Millions of mosquitos.
