    My God, you have literally saved me. I bought 60lbs of C6 and the first 2 candles I set up solidified with rough stops. I followed your instructions for the third candle and it has solidified perfect and beautiful. So thank you very much for your video.

    Thanks for coming back to update us! Staying tuned for the burn update. I recently started testing c6 wax and I noticed there aren’t many resources for it. (Someone in the comments mentioned not many people use this wax and I’m starting to agree 🤣)
    Sn- just for convenience purposes, in future videos would you be able to include/mention the temperatures in Fahrenheit as well?

      Thank you so much for your comment and support! There isn’t many actually I agree! C6 wax some people love it and some people dislike it ahah there is no in between! I got a few comments about c6 leaving bad rough tops. I did show my post burn tops in this video ruclips.net/video/lTJ6d7HrZww/видео.html if you would like to see. Skip to 4:03 mins (thats where I show my results) but if you want a whole burn test video , I would be more than happy to do that when it’s back in stock ahah & Ofcourse I will share both in Fahrenheit in future videos 🤍

    Hey! Guess who have finally gone back to making candles and got the cosy owl fragrances to Czech republic? Me ha! lol
    The pipettes are such good tip btw! It's hard to pour the fragrance accurately for these small loads. xxx

    Just thinking that Eco wicks are too hot for C6

  • @libbysunflower5861

    This video came at a perfect time for me! I’m using the same 150ml amber jars and I think I’ve brought the wrong eco wicks 😭 I’ve eco6’s, is that right for 5.5cm diameter ?

    • @mawahebhome
      @mawahebhome  3 года назад

      Heey lovely! Thats okay! I have tested it with Eco 6 and it burnt well , however I did get slight mushrooming. I would advice test eco 6 and eco 4! Compare how they both do. With wicks , there is alot of testing that goes into it, so you never got the wrong wick! It just what works well in your candle container, wax and FO! You can do it!

    • @mawahebhome
      @mawahebhome  3 года назад +1

      Aww honey it’s okay! The wax won’t go to waste, You can still work with it and test it and that way you will have the luxury of comparing two waxes when the C6 is back in stock! Don’t be sad 🤍 If you don’t want it at all , call up and see if you can get a refund! I have made the same mistake before with 464, I got so much but then I started branching out to other waxes haha! It’s okay!

    i am going crazy trying to wick
    I have many questions. One is do you use any additives to use an 8% fragrance load? Because it says highest is 6% without additive. Another is how many inches in diameter was the jar that you used in this review? I have been testing and testing and I’m just not getting what I want so I need some help with wicking.

      Hi Donna , thank you for commenting and watching my video. To be honest with you , I have not tested this wax in years and I haven’t repurchased. I don’t want to mislead you from memory , but my advice would be if you have tried every way possible and this wax is not working for you then choose an alternative. You can get a soy/coconut mix or rapeseed and coconut mix! I personally don’t use any additives in any of my waxes that I have tested previously and waxes that I am testing now. Definitely thinking of other waxes , not every wax is for you which is why we trial and test! Well done and keep on going!

    Have you burned it yet? I’m having trouble with the ugly after burn and craters left after it’s blown out & cooled down

    • @mawahebhome
      @mawahebhome  3 года назад

      I haven’t burnt it yet no! I will burn it soon and let you know back on this comment. Craters as in rough tops? Ugly after burn , are you getting melt pool discolouration? At what temperature did you pour your FO and what temperature did you pour into your jars?

    • @TShaiNatalia
      @TShaiNatalia 3 года назад +1

      Mawaheb Ghazal please do! Yes very rough tops, and a little discoloration when using wooden wicks, I’ve poured my FO at around 165 F and pour around 150 F. I may be pouring too high, I poured higher than that previously and have been going lower and lower lol but I don’t see a lot of others using this wax yet.

    • @mawahebhome
      @mawahebhome  3 года назад +1

      @@TShaiNatalia So rough tops in general is normal for natural waxes, I get them in soy waxes aswell. I normally get them around the wick. In terms of discolouration with wooden wick that is normal, because the wood discolours the wax. If you are getting discolouration with cotton wick, then the wick is too big. It has happened to me before. Good thing, you are going lower in your pouring temperatures my favourite. Also, try lowering fragrance load and see if it makes any difference with rough tops. Yes, not much that I see online about C6. Don't worry I got you, when I burn it, I will reply back to your comment on here! Keep doing what you're doing, you are doing great! Testing candles is no straightforward process.

      @@TShaiNatalia Hello lovely! I hope you are well! So i burnt both of my candles and my fragrance oil candle I didn’t get any rough tops but I did get a dip by my wick in my essential oil candle! In terms of my hot throw for FO, I was getting a low throw in my living room but when I moved the candle to my bedroom I got a throw of 8/10 and same thing for EO candle. The wicks for both of the candles were not working well , the flame was way too high and I was getting alot alot
      of flickering aswell. I think the reason why you are experiencing with ugly post burn it may be from the wooden wick , I have worked with wooden wicks before and they tend to leave ugly after burn. Now I obviously do not know how long you have been testing for with wood wicks but maybe try wicking down , maybe try using two wood wicks instead of one if your container can hold two. Also , natural waxes in general tend to leave rough tops after burn , I have experienced it in almost all the candle waxes that I have tested out so far apart from eco soy CB advanced where I only get frosting. Even frosting , wet spots all these are completely normal when working with natural waxes! You can use it as a plus in your business! Keep testing and if you are completely unhappy with the wax that you are working with , you can try another one! I know you can do it, keep going , keep testing and shining! You will find what works best for you eventually 😃

      Mawaheb Ghazal thank you so much for letting me know and the encouraging words 😭❤️ it’s been a struggle but I’ve only ever tried C6 and I’ve also tried mixing C6 w 30% pure coconut wax but it was too soft, although cold & hot throw were the best here. I’ve also tried mixing it w a little paraffin and it was better (no craters) but I’m trying my best to keep it all natural. I’ve experienced the ugly after burn w zinc wicks as well. I’ll try pouring lower and switching up the wicks now that I know it is possible to avoid that. I know it’s only cosmetic but I hate it so much lol also having issues with it sticking to the side of the glass even with a full melt pool. I’ll keep testing, thanks again!

    Actually wet spots, you need to adjust your wax. Secondly cratering after burn additives takes this. C6 is meant to be easier for novice candlemakers but it’s not perfect and frosts very quickly. Not a fan of this wax.

    • @mawahebhome
      @mawahebhome  3 года назад +1

      Fair enough , we all have different experiences with working with waxes. It worked well with me. I am sure you will find your ideal wax with your own testing journey. I have tested many waxes and wet spots happens regardless of what wax you use , I have testing alot of waxes and they pull away from the jar after a week or as soon as they completely cool down. Wet spots happens because the wax shrinks when it cools and expands when its hot. It’s basic science and it cannot be controlled. Frosting is normal too especially with cold climates , imperfections with natural waxes are more prone in comparison to paraffin blends or wax additives that contain paraffin or petroleum jelly.

    • @Pygmypal
      @Pygmypal 3 года назад +2

      @@mawahebhome It can be controlled by adjusting your wax. If you make your wax softer it adheres better. Harder wax shrinks and pulls away.
      Try it. I have tried almost every wax on the market. I do not have adhesion problems, because I know how to adjust the wax.

    • @mawahebhome
      @mawahebhome  3 года назад +1

      @@Pygmypal again, that is your experience and we all have different ones. For me , Wet spots doesn’t bother me anymore as it does not define the quality of my candle. As long as my throws are good and my candle is safe to burn in someone else’s home then I am set. I am not too bothered about striving for perfect glass adhesion. I let my natural wax do whatever it is it wants to do with its perfect imperfections. Wet spots can also be triggered by change of temperature which can be out of our control.
