What's even more stunning, in my opinion, is the fact that no matter how deep, intelligent, eloquent, human, or true something on RUclips is, people still fucking dislike it...Y Tho?
You learn something new about Tyson in EVERY interview. He is actually coming across as one of the most intelligent celebrities ever imo. Not academic smarts, real deep intelligence on the most important parts of life! Yes always been real intelligent, just couldn't articulate it that well in his younger years. Top dude!!
Hes my idol. He was a broken kid raised in hell. I understand all the rage and his spontaneous weird answers. Now look at him. Completely changed man, humble as hell. Would love to hang out with him.
Tyson is officially one of my role models. It doesn't matter what he did in the past, but how he rose from it and overcame it. His words are wiser than any singer or actor in the biz. Mike Tyson's honesty and sincerity shows his struggle and above all, his heart.
You wouldn’t be saying this unless Mike had given several people permanent brain damage. Mike is just another person. You only love him because he hurt people. Think about that
"From My experience, if any little success I may have had." How modest. I'm one of the guys that go out the door being inspired by this guy every day. How much have most people accomplished when they were at the age of 19? He is constantly grilled in social media and is still able to be down to earth. I watch Tyson vids everytime I go to workout and hit the bags.
"Life is about losing. As we get older we lose our hair we lose our teeth our mothers our fathers our sisters. But its the ones who overcome their losses in life and can shun away adversary and are always willing to fight at every particular moment in life are the ones that are able to transcend..."
zerg ling the way he answer rand acted in the last question make me feel sorry for him bro. Mike Tyson has had everything in the past, money, fame, girls, friends. but now when he bankrupt and felt down. there is nothing around him. not even a friend. He was very lonely.
Mike is so genuine, intelligent and down to earth. His sincerity and mature way of looking at life never ceases to amaze me. I wish him the best. dude has been through a lot
"This is not the toughest guys world, this is the smartest guys world he says and he is so right in that comment that the toughest and honest guys cannot survive until they play with the required rules o the new era of 21st century" be wiser my friend , here are the words of the wisdom of the one of the toughest guys ever lived on this planet. ...
Tyson's class. No heavyweight was as skilled as him, regardless of records. Nobody had that combination of speed, agility, power and offence. The head movement and accuracy was astounding.
Tony Gareth absolutely mate, I think Mike Tyson is one of the most talented boxer that ever born in our century. people usually say Mohamed Ali was the greatest but for me, He was not. The way Mike Tyson fight to his opponent drive us so excited.
I appreciate Mike's sincerity every time he speaks and how he always tries to find some thing he can learn from in his past. In my opinion the most interesting person in the world
People forget how BADASS Tyson really was. Combined with his openness. A great character like Iron Mike transcends all other tough guy before and after him. Because a tough guy will tell you his faults and his attributes with no fear of being judged. And iron Mike is takes it to an all new level. He’s the definition of “A Standup Guy “ .
Man, I cried so much in the beginning of this interview, during his answer to the first question. You can see the deep pain and sadness in Mike. I sincerely hope he achieves the highest peace within himself and fights for his life back.
Mike Tyson is intelligent , humble , articulate and incredibly self aware . To have gone through what he has gone through and to have this demeanor and attitude deserves alot of respect and I for one have a ton of respect for Mike T. Fascinating man .
It's great to seen him recovered and ready to live his fight of the life to be better person than he was before. He is very smart and dedicated person, god bless you Mike!
"In 50 years?.... that I'm the most destructive, ferocious fighter god has ever created. yeah, that's what I want." You could cleary see that soulless scary look he always loved to display once again on his face.
The most ferocious fighting machine God ever created treated an obviously gay man with complete decency and respect. Mike Tyson has always been a better man than he wanted people to know he was.
lol creatures like you never fail to amuse me. God created "the most ferocious fighting machine" Tyson. People created countless actual machines that can kill Tyson in couple seconds. Sounds like this "God" thing is pretty useless.
I think Mike Tyson is loved because #1 his skill #2 when he speaks it always seems sincere good or bad #3 despite his fortune and former ruthless tongue he seems like a down to earth person. ONE LOVE Mike... always be my favorite fighter
mazhar rehman Mike tyson has done Neck bridge exercise too much in order to build his neck there fore it hard for him to speak softly. I have done this before and quit after that because I figure out it s not good for your neck and brain.
thank you Mike for your inspiration u went from a man who people thought the worst to someone who people can relate to and find sincere! i really loved your docuementary!!
Mike Tyson is one of the most misunderstood sports men of our time. He is intelligent, honest & speaks with a lot of sincerity. I have HUGE respect not just for his boxing achievements and god given ability but the way he has changed his life around and learned from his mistakes.
I totally agree! I said the same thing to my brother. Mike changed over the years, got smarter and calmer. The funniest thing happens when he is asked the last question, his expression changes and some residue of the beast within answers the question. I even think he felt uneasy reminding himself of the monster that lies within.
If he continues to devotedly work on himself, I think that there may be something profoundly positive about self discovery and the possibility of rehabilitating from a deeply painful life-story that he might also be remembered by. Keep going man!
This seems like a guy who, at a young age was at the top the world and had everything he wanted. But now he's learned humility and great lessons through age. I really can't help but give him my utmost respect now.
Mike is in a much better place these days. I'm so happy for him and wish him the best. Still even in his darker days, Mike was the most exciting heavyweight ever. He was frightening, funny, insightful, and entertaining. He still posesses those qualities even to this day.
***** hahaha look at the hoster 's eyes. he was so scare, He thought in his head. Oh my God, how can I take the punch from this guy. look at his face, I could even die before he touched me
Mike loves to gesture, and the interviewer leaned further and further back as the interview went along. Funny! That said -- I really loved Mike's viewpoints and his ability to be articulate without being shock-offensive. Means so much more! Great job Mike!!
0:27 Sacrifice and adaptation 1:49 Skill is repeatable, luck is not 2:37 Fame and premeditation 3:18 Life - Losing and transcendence 3:58 Fear, Respect and Love 4:46 Growing up, loss, change and gratitude
You can hear the pain in Tyson's voice too but also, show's how... determined a person he is as not too many drug addicts, and abusive people can so drastically change themselves like that. I am bipolar and am an addict etc. so can relate, I'm only young though, I'm trying to change now but, it's hard. But, haha, what's great is... even though Mike is tryna be humble and thankful now, he still ended by saying 'the most destructive and ferocious... (you know the rest)'. So he's still got that ha
By the time he was 17 Mike knew more about boxing history, fights and past fighters than anyone in the world. Jim jacobs had the largest fight collection the the world, mike would train all day, and watch and analyse fights interviews and the conduct of each fighter all night long whilst cus would talk to him and aswer any questions he might have had. Every conversation they had was about him being heavyweight champion of the world. Mike Tyson, the Greatest fighter than ever lived...
Whats crazy is despite verything you hear about him, he's clearly a really nice and very smart guy. I'm glad that he got past whatever problems he was going through in the past.
I love how much Mike Tyson has matured over there years. He was a BEAST while fighting but now he seems to be a decent man with a big heart. Plus his animated series is fucking hilarious!
Had he been born to a nice, wealthy family, he would have had a good career in any of the "professions" (Doctor, academic etc). Because he was born into poverty, guns and hookers, he became a boxer...and the greatest one at that.
templetonbob Because he was in a youth home for people with bad child hoods, and he saw people coming from the boxing gym across the street and he wondered why they were so happy being beat up, so he went there and discovered Boxing like that, if you dont believe me, try to find the interview where he said it. ( cant remember the title for it on youtube ) but i remember that he said all this in an interview and you can find it on youtube.
His story is sooo interesting. I'm proud of his new life. I think I like him more than I did when he was boxing. And that's hard because I was a big Tyson (the boxer) fan.
Fighter R the way he answer rand acted in the last question make me feel sorry for him bro. Mike Tyson has had everything in the past, money, fame, girls, friends. but now when he bankrupt and felt down. there is nothing around him. not even a friend. He was very lonely.
No doubt Mike will be remembered as the ferocious fighting machine he was, but I truly believe he will also be remembered as the wise, humble and inspiring man he became after that.
I love you Mike! Always have, always will! My favorite fighter of all time. I hope you one day pick up boxing again as a trainer so you can pass on your experience and knowledge to other trouble young people. Rooney and Atlas studied the art of peek-a-boo, but no one ever mastered it like you did!
Hes my idol, im 16 and just started boxing, but watching this, looking in his eyes when he said what will people remember you as in 50 years and he said a fighting machine, it looks to me he doesnt like, he wants to remembered as somthing more, instead of a killing machine, a kind person. and thats what im taking away from this.
+Alex The Beard people like you should stay away from videos like these, maybe watch boxing or MMA for about another 10 years and you'll realise that Ali Fedor and Tyson are the goats
mashAllah, there is a real sense of peace around him now that is rare among even the majority of people. I wish him continued success and lasting peace, inshAllah (God willing). that last answer is a sad truth, and what's sadder is that he knows its the truth. I hope people in 50 years will discover this later side of him, and recognize the kind of transformations that are possible in people who are determined to change. That requires REAL strength and Mike's shown that he has that too.
its stunning when you realize how intelligent and deep he really is
why is it so stunning? he's iron mike. only idiots thought he was dumb
What's even more stunning, in my opinion, is the fact that no matter how deep, intelligent, eloquent, human, or true something on RUclips is, people still fucking dislike it...Y Tho?
simple and humble guy. but deep and wise
Mike is an incredibly deep thinker.
😊
You learn something new about Tyson in EVERY interview. He is actually coming across as one of the most intelligent celebrities ever imo. Not academic smarts, real deep intelligence on the most important parts of life! Yes always been real intelligent, just couldn't articulate it that well in his younger years. Top dude!!
+Josef Mandel Well said mate. I have watch countless interviews and documentaries myself. You are absolutley right
If you watch his interviews when he was younger you could see that he was very intelligent but people didn't pay attention.
J Doe Dude, your explainstion was so fucking acurate. Spot on!
Josef Mandel He's very honest.
+J Doe wow man superbly explained thank u bruh.
"doing what you hate to do but do it like you love it" the truth right there.

Theres noone can stop him his style is impetuous his defense is impregnable. He's ferocious and wants to eat your children
He wants your heart....
He is Alexander and Jack Dempsey he is from their cloth
His style is impetuous
His defense is impregnable.
Hes my idol. He was a broken kid raised in hell. I understand all the rage and his spontaneous weird answers. Now look at him. Completely changed man, humble as hell. Would love to hang out with him.
I think it might hav something to wit his conversion to islam. He is really a changed man
@Marco Grewe how do you know
"The most destructive ferocious fighting machine that God ever created".
That is me not him.
The Golden Qaseeda Potentially
Probably right. The greatest *boxer* was Ali, but Tyson in his prime was a tornado.
Jack Dempsey definitely disputes that claim
As much as I love mike, one can't ignore the original "Baddest Man on the Planet."

This man has turned himself into an incredible inspiration. I have great respect for Mr.Tyson. He has so many lessons to teach and does.

"In 50 years?.... that I'm the most destructive, ferocious fighter god has ever created. yeah, that's what I want."
You could cleary see that soulless scary look he always loved to display once again on his face.
this is the best interview and speech of Mike Tyson .
I could just hear the interviewer thinking "I have nothing in common with this guy"
I think he nodded coz it was appropriate. But based on his facial expression, I don't think he related.
RUdigitized, I think your thinking what you thought but he isn't necessarily thinking that too.
The most ferocious fighting machine God ever created treated an obviously gay man with complete decency and respect. Mike Tyson has always been a better man than he wanted people to know he was.
Did he say something anti gay before? Why point that out
zyxwut321 Well said.
@zyxwut321:
Maybe Mike wanted to bum him??
lol creatures like you never fail to amuse me.
God created "the most ferocious fighting machine" Tyson.
People created countless actual machines that can kill Tyson in couple seconds.

He has a nobility about him that hardships have not dented.
His responses are really eloquent and insightful. An absolute legend despite all his shortcomings.

Watch this numerous times and the answer to the last question still gives me goosebumps

Mike seems happy. I always wondered if he would find peace. Good on you fellow. You won the biggest fight of all. Happiness.
If he continues to devotedly work on himself, I think that there may be something profoundly positive about self discovery and the possibility of rehabilitating from a deeply painful life-story that he might also be remembered by. Keep going man!
He's already remembered by that
Here's a guy who has come tremendously far in his life. Good for him.
This seems like a guy who, at a young age was at the top the world and had everything he wanted. But now he's learned humility and great lessons through age. I really can't help but give him my utmost respect now.

His last answer was right on point, He is the greatest of all time
man i love mike, so much respect for him. Its really nice too see him happy and doing well in his life.
Mike is very humble and such a genuine cool guy
After all he's been through, the fact that he is still seeking to improve himself is inspirational. People have succumbed to far less.
Love it. Mike has more to offer today than when he was Champion of the world
reporter's be like "I DONT WANT TO DIE!!"

Wow Tyson has really changed for the better in so many ways.
And he has re-earned almost all of the respect I had lost for him.
The wisdom mike has is just rare to find in anyone.
Mike loves to gesture, and the interviewer leaned further and further back as the interview went along. Funny! That said -- I really loved Mike's viewpoints and his ability to be articulate without being shock-offensive. Means so much more! Great job Mike!!

Nothing more , pure honesty !
People love Mike Tyson. You know why? He's the People's Champion.
I love Mike's strength to tell it how it is.
The 50 years from now answer...... That answer put me on my feet!
I used to think he was a just brutal beast with a dumb mind, but now he mellowed down, i see pure wisdom in him.
that dude looked scared the entire time, yet tyson was being very civil in his answers.
Tyson at his heart, is actually very modest, nice guy.
I love how much Mike Tyson has matured over there years. He was a BEAST while fighting but now he seems to be a decent man with a big heart. Plus his animated series is fucking hilarious!
I think he summoned up what we will think off him in 50 years about right. Great interview!
He is absolutely right, - Life is about losing and how you can handle all that.
Had he been born to a nice, wealthy family, he would have had a good career in any of the "professions" (Doctor, academic etc). Because he was born into poverty, guns and hookers, he became a boxer...and the greatest one at that.
What's to say that he wouldn't have been a boxer anyways? You may be right, but you can't be certain.
templetonbob Because he was in a youth home for people with bad child hoods, and he saw people coming from the boxing gym across the street and he wondered why they were so happy being beat up, so he went there and discovered Boxing like that, if you dont believe me, try to find the interview where he said it. ( cant remember the title for it on youtube ) but i remember that he said all this in an interview and you can find it on youtube.
No other way in life to discover boxing?
templetonbob There is, but theres a big chance he wouldnt have gotten into Boxing, unless his childhood had been like it had been.
Ya, that was my whole point.
I wish Mike was my mentor! Such a great human being.
A good and humble man, no doubt.
this video is full quotes...so much wisdom
His story is sooo interesting. I'm proud of his new life. I think I like him more than I did when he was boxing. And that's hard because I was a big Tyson (the boxer) fan.
Mike tyson got the character of a real fighter, the way he's in the ring he's in real life i think:Never boring
Fighter R the way he answer rand acted in the last question make me feel sorry
for him bro. Mike Tyson has had everything in the past, money, fame,

No doubt Mike will be remembered as the ferocious fighting machine he was, but I truly believe he will also be remembered as the wise, humble and inspiring man he became after that.
Ice and Snow he was smart back then too look as his Larry king live prison interview. He was only 27 and super wise

Nice interview. Great to see Mike in a good mood.
Tyson, Ali, Fedor - best male fighters ever.
no, silva, St Pierre, & Jon Jones
+Alex The Beard lol
viagra, hgh, steroids (estrogen blockers)
+Alex The Beard Ali, Fedor, Tyson. No one calls silva st Pierre or Jones the greatest, and no one will.
+Alex The Beard people like you should stay away from videos like these, maybe watch boxing or MMA for about another 10 years and you'll realise that Ali Fedor and Tyson are the goats
Unsatisfied Chihuahua i think jones is the best mma fighter to ever life tbh
mashAllah, there is a real sense of peace around him now that is rare among even the majority of people. I wish him continued success and lasting peace, inshAllah (God willing).
that last answer is a sad truth, and what's sadder is that he knows its the truth. I hope people in 50 years will discover this later side of him, and recognize the kind of transformations that are possible in people who are determined to change.
