Also check out this 5FDP video I took last summer in Cleveland, OH of ironically the same acoustic medley where Ivan is on pain pills and totally butchers the song (he admitted to being during the show)

Maybe Austin was pitchy in the beginning because 5FDP themselves change the song so much live?

The beginning is HORRIBLE, his pitch is all over the place, when the song gets more agressive he gets better... Ivan is a hundred times better

No need to rag on Austin. He's just filling in. Whether or not you're a fan of his solo stuff, and just because his dad is Bruce, doesn't mean he has to follow his style.
I wish someone would tell that to others. People think because his dad, Bruce Dickinson, is the Air Raid Siren, that he has to follow his dad's scream-for-the-heavens voice pattern
Austin's an incredible vocalist and although he butchered Wrong Side Of Heaven he did a great job with Remember Everything as he altered the key to fit his voice better.

For everyone listening to this and saying this guy is garbage... I can see why this would make you feel that way... It's not great... but listen to As Lions and perhaps you will change your opinion

The slow part sounded kind of like if I were singing it... in other words utter crap.

He has a great voice, but I think the range is just so different. I don't blame him for having trouble, honestly. He should have maybe prepared better with the band, though, and altered the key or something.

I like Bruce's son.
He has a different sound.
He don't want to be Exactly like Daddy
He's a pretty cool singer. His only issue here is that his voice is higher than Ivan's, so it's harder to hit the low pitch singing. I mean even if his technique down there was perfect, his voice just wouldn't have the same weight Ivan's would have.

wow I was at this concert and just my opinion Even if Ivan were there #SHINEDOWN KILLED IT!!! I was so shocked we left soon after !! but he did step up for 5FDP. so they could finish tour !!
Dawnna Raee same I went to the show the night before in Hershey and it was awesome a complete sellout but Shinedown was absolutely brilliant, so good, awesome show !! I believe everyone agreed 5FDP definitely wasn't very good but I give them props for pushing through without their lead man Ivan
