My 2 favorite bands in the world...
Thèo Crêpéaux God, me too. What I wouldn't have given to be there. To be that reporter!
Me too
U mean just 1 fav band and thats iron maiden and everyone else are just pretenders ...dont u ever for get this in your life its maiden for life 24/7 365 days a yr
I thought we were going to see Dave and Bruce meet each other... That wouldve been kickass..
the late 90's was a weird time for metal in america!
I know right! Everything seems so awkward.
Everything was awkward except for PANTERA
@@SebastianGonzalez-cf1jl I was lucky to see white zombie Pantera and Megadeth all on the same bill 1992 summer in Detroit at pine knob , great memories from that show , I saw maiden at pine knob on this tour amazing night also 1999 ! I have seen iron maiden on every tour since, my favorite band always , up the irons!
Bands like Korn and the so called "nu metal" to me where just awful , don't get me wrong they are good in there own right with alot of fans , but could never grab me like the classic metal bands , Pantera was fantastic live and so was static x , white zombie , type of negative , there was a few I liked alot in the 90s , slayers divine intervention was so good and the tour was great , saw them with pantera , morbid angel, scrape and static x , cobo hall on the extreme Steele tour 2000
cant relate lol
1. i wasnt born in the '90's im just a kid
2. im australian xd
The book, Mustaine is a great read! He talks about this era and lineup during this time. Pretty interesting.
Got it for my birthday. Greatest book ive read ever
@@Mrp00p3rs I thought his book sucked
@@gabrielbrouwer i give two shit on ur opinion on it. I am just saying it was a great book cuz I love all things metal and it reminds me of alot of shit I delt with in life. Sure I exaggerated being best book in the world but it truly is a good read that I couldn't put down. So pleasantly fuck off mate :)
holy shit, my 2 favorite bands in the same tour?? thats awesome...
Interviewer: How are you?
Bruce: Uhhh, I'm dying
*genius answer Bruce xD*
"This tour is big, but nothing compared to what we're gonna do next year"
He was right. Maiden's best album - Brave New World and fucking 250,000 crowd attendance in Rock In Rio.
I would honestly trade my life to have been there ... also at the famous footage of "hallowed be thy name" from '82 (i was only 5 years old then!). If there's one thing Dickinson is NOT, that's a liar. He doesn't use drugs, he never fell down the junkie rabbit hole. I have so much respect for him.. and Dave Mustaine. I was lucky to see Megadeth the year this footage was recorded (1999). Megadeth were in Des Moines, Iowa, USA(my home) that summer for a radio show sponsored festival. Slipknot opened for them (Des Moines is their hometown, in case y'all weren't aware😉, so it was INSANE😆), the footage from that show is in Slipknot's official video for "Wait and Bleed". I really wish footage of the Megadeth set from that show existed; sadly i don't remember much; as the beer was flowing, it was hot, and i was all of 110lbs soaking wet then. I remember it was a fucking blast -- that's when 'Deth used to close their sets with the "anarchy" song, the energy was rabid. I wish i had paid attention to Mustaine's reaction to us☺.
If you think BNW is Maiden's best album (for who?) you must be like 5 years old...
Brave New World is a great album, no doubt, but their best? Nope
4:00 Never tell a pilot it was a rough flight. He took it personal, like all pilots. Don't suspect she'd know that tho.
She a fucking bitch... Hoping to get laid
BRUCE DICKINSON IS THE MAN!
2 verdaderos monstruos del metal.
Aguante Iron Maiden y Megadeth, Up the Metal!!!
2:09 - "I'd like to hear some more of your not-so-great stories." *Glare* "Absolutely...... yeah!" Creeper Marty.
ikr xD
2:09
You could tell she was uncomfortable.
wow my two all time favorite bands too....nice
My 2 ALL TIME FAVORITE BANDS.
would love to see either band live someday!
man THANK GOD dave ellefson grew his hair back he looks funny with it short
Beginning @ 6:51.........he's speaking the TRUTH.
FunFun1272 In 1983 when maiden recorded piece of mind and they saw that they are getting more famous, Steve Harris said: "I've always seen that band as having 15 studio albums...", well the final frontier is their 15th album. But let's not lose hope....
Who going to Iron Maiden, Megadeth CONCERT THIS WEEKEND!
marty's face at 1:58 is priceless!! lol
I can't wait to see them in 2 months
and wow!! bruce's hair at 7:00 is awesome!
I missed this on TV at the time...so thanx.
Saw that show and met Dave Mustaine & Steve Harris.
Megadeth played at Hardenberg the next day.
Has it been 10 years already....
It's been 10 years since this comment
I REALLY HOPE I GET TO SEE THE FINAL FORNTER WITH MAIDEN AND dt THAT WILL BE A KICK ASS SHOW OF EPICNESS
6:05 "Steve, can you sign my shirt?"
Steve: "Can you sign my balls?"
I thought i was gonna see Vic meet Eddie
Dave "high smile" Murray
These guys coming to Nashville. HELL YEAH!!!! Can't wait!!!
My to favorite bands all time
If only the Sonisfield concert was here in the states too, & Maiden, the Big Four of thrash, Heaven & Hell, Motorhead, & Mastadon were each performing. That'd be one hell of a concert.
HELL YEAH!!!
This was a really neat video!
It would be cool if there were translations for the stuff the interviewer was saying, during those certain parts :D.
Yeah Eddie and Vic, those two should reunite again.
Oh, okay, thanks for letting me know :).
its hard to imagine the band before Rock In Rio 2001 - clearly what bruce was referring to when he told the interviewer about the madness that was planned "next year" -- i wonder if they even knew what an impact the 250,000 show would have on metal history!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh fuck! my two favorite bands? thats crazy lol
What a nice interviewer!
That reporter was so cute!
best metal bands EVER!!!
Voila le temps des belles histoires qui finissent toute bien pour NOUS
great!!!
5/5
9:23 wtf are you doing Janick ???
Megadeth and Iron Maiden in Austin 2013!
the record labels made them do it. it was to fit in with the new music of the 90s
Palais omnisports de Paris 1999 Iron+ Megadeth Génial !.
Mmmm, reporter is so mooi!
The time when their was awesome television on.. This channel doesn't exist anymore...
No.
Iron Maiden is bigger, Judas too, Sabbath too.
And the most important, Megadeth is more real than Metallica, they're just fucking kick ass Metal (with the exception of Risk) but Megadeth is still making us headnanging like they did back in the 90's and the 80's.
And I'm about to see Megadeth backstage in Long Beach August 30
LOL!!!
Great style.. handling the mic :D:D
8:53 , Adrian Using Flying V, Is This Real Life ? O.O
Ícaro Augusto Nobre ☺ i can tell in their studio recordings when they pull out the ol' V 😊. Dave Murray is more likely to use the V tho, so yeah, that's pretty crazy, isn't it?
thats an awesome Jackson.
yep, on the whole european tour I think
Music-wise, too.
Ha the Risk era with their "hip" image they obviously all adopted naturally. Those songs really stood the test of time, Prince of Darkness and errrrrr
LOL 1:58 Marty's facial expression.
UP THE IRONS!!!!!
FROM CANADA
Good lord, that chick is a BABE!
90s were so hot
@jonesey5168 well he does have credit on the album for his songs, so he probably does get some royalty, but not much
whoa, Marty was still in the band when this happened.
For about four months more.
And they all went to a coffeeshop after the gig ^_^
zeg dat wel :D
David Ellefson looks like Bill Nye The Science Guy
Too bad Nick Menza wasn't in the band at the time, best Megadeth drummer ever. Rip
Damn, Dave Murrey looks old here, and it was 20 years ago!
I love him, but he drinks a lot, and I think that is what is aging him. Wonder what he'd look like now sans drinking. He's a great guy, but he does look old here for how young he was.
@furby714: Yo, hold on. Did you see Iron Maiden backstage in San Bernardino?I saw them on the 20th in Concord and no way in hell did anyone (except the cleaning ladies, who were nonchalantly cleaning backstage) go meet them. If you did, I envy and respect you for whatever you did to meet them.
you too? awesome
@furby714 seeing maiden saturday in toronto ontario cant fucking wait
Todos jovencitos
mooie mooie mooie...she was a hottie!
Come on Junior, sales figures were always important for Megadeth. Everyone knows that, Dave even admitted it.
@metalrules13 Haha, I saw that as well. Marty is so damn cool.
my opinion i think iron maiden megadeth and slayer are the 3 of the best metal bands
I think he was talking about ellefson.... since he is the one with the short hair...
What guitar is dave holding,,, ive never seen it before? is it a jackson?
It's a Jackson Y2KV, Dave played those a lot from late 1998 to when they disbanded in 2002. You can see some on Rude Awakening too.
@deah70 all the girls are hot here in holland. yes its dutch, you can hear it in the very beginning
Bruces hair looks cool when it's spikey :P
"we have to be selective about the movies we make music for" - goes select Universal Soldier, a B-movie which actually put the nail in the coffin of its production company.
To be fair though. Crush Em was kind of a bit for Megadeth when it came out.
are you going to see them backstage like I did in June 19th?
1:01
Nither, he meant Ellfson
Marty !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amount of albums sold have not a thing to do with how well an individual is as a artist ... for that matter of philosophy that would be like saying beeber, spears, cyrus etc etc etc are all fantastic artist too just because they have sold x amount of albums.
Real Metalheads dont let their friends cut their HAIR! Dave WTF?
at 2:17++ " i think we should mingle with the fans" dave said "hello mingle"...hhahahaa
i think he's talking about david ellefson
@TheCoroner2002 I don't know how old are you, but if you are my age, you might remember that these years were hard for metal and many guys started to show some negative anti-metal changes...
It's Daphne Bunskoek!
1:58 Marty
@HBK1337 It's Dutch :)
2:17 - 2:21 i laughed so hard!!!
"An amazing success like the titanic"
Who's else but dave? XD...
" Not*
What's Dave saying from 0:54 to 1:08? That "So What do you have for lunch today?" sounds very funny. something about "sweaty people"
come and mingle with the fans.ok,hello mingle
Deathcore is this decade's hair metal and nu metal.
Lol Dave -'we wanted to do the film....'
actually dave is david's friend :P
@giwrgosalani I know dude I almost shit bricks when I fucking saw that.
IRON MAIDEN!
