6:06 This is my favorite scene in the Ghostbusters franchise. Egon and Ray see Winston in peril and they barely hesitate. He's a Ghostbuster, goddammit, and they're going to save him even if it means sacrificing their own lives.
I think The Real Ghostbusters is the main reason for Winston's popularity. They made him an essential part of the team, and gave him a lot more character development. The episode "Night Game" did more for Winston than both movies put together.
@@Rocket1377 Even deeper is the episode MOANING STONES. A set of ancient stones at a museum unleashes an ancient demon who challenges Winston due to his ancestral connection. Great episode that features Peter trying his musical chops.... and failing miserably!
@@JoseMorales-lw5nt Thanks for the recommendation! I've been on a Real Ghostbusters binge lately and was looking for some more Winston heavy episodes besides Night Game and Sandman. Do you have any others you could recommend??
@@ReservoirPunk: Another one is “Elementary My Dear Winston” where the ghosts of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson show up. Winston happens to be a fan of Holmes and helps them defeat Moriarty. There’s a moment where Winston is wearing Victorian style clothing and he looked really good in it.
Winston definately deserves more love imo fans or so called fans say how good venkman or ray are, we need to rep all four originals, when I was a kid Egon was my favourite I still wish that dude was with us
Poor Winston, still very confusing that they relegated him to half a movie in the second one, the first one was understandable. But its a shame the second couldn't have him featured more. Also Ernie Hudson is a treasure.
It featured him pretty well, helping Ray out in the beginning, probably has his own thing, so couldn't be there when arrested, was there at the beginning of the trial but not during ghost scene, figure he was protecting Dana who was also there and being there ever since. He also has best lines in both films
Elliot Thomas: Winston IS utilized well in this movie, it's just much more subtle than the first one. A good example is during dancing toaster scene. Look closely at Winston just when the toaster starts dancing, he's giving a skeptical gaze at first but then starts leaning forward as if: "Wtf just happened? Did I freakin' see that?"
Great bloke, very nearly bumped into him (and Jennifer Runyon from GB1) accidentally as I turned a corner privacy barrier in Manchester UK at a 2017 sci fi event, as I was trying to leave after another celeb's autograph/photo shoot. I didn't recognise him immediately, regretted it because he said Hi and I was just thinking he was speaking to somebody behind me and was just a random from the large crowd there when he was actually being polite 😔 My kid loves the photos I took though about 5 seconds after when I clocked it was him! Ernie if you actually remember this (you were next on after Hoff) - I was literally just trying to get home out of the crowd with wife and kid in tow - apologies! :) And yes, I would have asked "how are you liking this town" if I'd had the chance 😆
4:48 “And every year, on the date of the accident, it runs again as a warning to others, plunging into the gap, shrieking like a lost soul!” -George Carlin as the Thomas the Tank Engine narrator, “Ghost Train” or “Percy’s Ghostly Trick”.
I just had a funny ass thought 🤣 Watch the Boogyman haunt each of those kids booing the Ghostbusters at the birthday and watch them get denied service 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I could image Ray saying to (Jason Reitman's character) " Nope! We're full of crap remember?! 🤣🤣🤣 With a serious ass face too 🤣🤣🤣
Ernie Hudson is a Good Actor in my Books Winston seems to be one of my Favorite but a bit behind Egon since Egon has the Gadgets.... but I can still Consider Winston a Favorite Today!
Ghostbusters 2's plot insulted the audience's intelligence. After they saved the city in front of 100,000 people and a 200 foot marshmallow man we're just supposed to expect that everyone forgets ghosts are a thing and that the Ghostbusters just made it all up? We're supposed to believe they got restraining orders and lawsuits from the city? We're supposed to believe everyone would think them crazy when they say the city is in danger again?
I totally agree with @mm4350. Look what they did to Jesus Christ. The human condition is unfortunately this at the moment so my wish is that humanity can rise to a higher level and appreciate the things that have true value. I am working on this and before I leave I will do everything in my power to make this happen.
That gave me goosebumps! But if that was my name being called. "RRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOHHHHHAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNN" I'd have completely wet myself without even a Proton Pack in hand!!
It wasn't so much that he did it on purpose. By 1989, Real Ghostbusters had been on for a few years and a lot of kids wanted to come watch it. Obviously, the first movie isn't very kid-friendly so they had to change with this one. The same thing happened to the 90's Ninja Turtles franchise. The first was true to the original comics, but the sequels had to be toned down because too many kids watched the first one with all its "damn"s and violence. "Stow your weapons!!" indeed. :P
Please someone I habe never been to a movie premier, If theres one in London for afterlife, please somehow make it happen for me it is my dream since I was a kid to maybe see a star of a franchise I have in my heart 💯😎💕🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
That gave me goosebumps! Just imagine if that voice called my name: *RRRROOOOHAAAAAAANNNNNNNN* I would’ve wet myself in horror, without even a Proton Pack on hand!
"Ray, when someone asks you if you're a God you say, YES!!"
I know this from the 1st movie, but I still love that line!
And when he tells Ray he loves Jesus style as night turns to morning. Oddly empty bridge btw.
We all know how that turns out on a historical lvl with less developed societies.
Winston’s the Best. Venkman may be the voice of the group, Egon the brains, Ray the heart, but Winston was the soul.
Winston kept them grounded
Winston was the Sex Appeal. His words, not mine. 😂
So let me get this straight
Venkman: definitely the voice
Egon: definitely the brains
Ray: the most enthusiastic
Winston: relatable
@@moistexistence3090 I mean, that’s a really oversimplified way of saying it, but in some ways, yes.

That subway scene with the severed heads still gives me goosebumps
By far the most horrific scene in the Ghostbusters movies.
Along with the unseen voice. That whole scene gets me every time, and yet, I love it!
It’s the one scene I cover my eyes for
I was watching this movie alone while seeing this scene💀💀
This is why Ernie Hudson's character became a fan-favorite.

I loved when he yells "I love this town!" At the end of the first film.

I almost didn’t think it wasn’t the same actor when Winston shaved his mustache
Same lol.
It was probably to make it similar to the cartoon
@@remongum Ernie was asked about that and said it was incidental; he just didn't have a 'tache at the time of GB2.

the wax heads are scary not simply because they are MADE scary but because its practical affects, no cgi b.s
