@@Daltonmorgan1 a lot of people use copyrighted songs to make covers on RUclips. As far as I know, there's no way to "pay royalties" in this case. Your video will be flagged with copyright content and you cannot monetize ( that's why this channel is not monetized and I do not receive any single penny from RUclips).
In some cases your video can be blocked worldwide or removed.

@@Daltonmorgan1 The differentiation is when one is making profit from using copy written material. As long as you aren’t claiming it is yours, and as long as no one is making millions off of it, for the most part, artists look at it as free promotion.
