For the guitar players: James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett use 11/48 strings. They both use EMG 81/60 Active Pickups. And if you're planning on getting a Wah pedal, get either the Dunlop KH95 Kirk Hammett Signature Wah (What he uses now) the VOX Wah (What he used before his signature wah from 2008 and earlier)
i also Strongly recommend A Line 6 Floor Pod for many guitarists. as they can simulate an artists gear for a few hundred dollars instead of 3k on an amplifier and another thousand in pedals and get a pretty similar sound. 1 channel has 4 sub-channels. 1 sub channel has James settup for the intro, the 2nd sub has Kirks setup for lead the 3rd Sub as a moddified kirk channel for his Solo. but im still saving for that JVM lol
