It’s a neat backing track but it’s incorrect compared to the album version . I even had my guitar set to Metallica tuning and was wondering why it sounded off lol .
No, this is actually slightly slower than the album version. This is tuned to A=440 Hz (standard tuning) and the original song is around A=450 Hz which is about 1/4 step above E standard. It seems that the downtuning to make it more comfortable was done by simply slowing down the track.
Metallica plays everything live about 10% faster and everything that's in E-Standard on the album is played live in Eb (a half-step lower). Everything in Eb and lower are played as they were on the album. Also the tuning on Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning was about a quarter-step up from E-Standard.

Cameron Quevedo yea it’s also not tuned slightly sharp so I’m assuming he slowed it down to correct the pitch for god knows why
