One-Way ANOVA in SPSS

One-way ANOVA, or analysis of variance, is a statistical method used to compare the means of three or more groups to determine if they are significantly different from each other. It partitions the total variance observed in the data into different sources, including between-group variance and within-group variance.

Hello Prof. Can i do one way Anova with individual Likert items (Measured on 5 point scale), which are part of a formative construct in my study? I am confused whether i can go with ANOVA, as Likert items are ordinal in nature. Request you to please clarify and provide an appropriate reference.. Regards, Karan

If you have Likert scale, you'll have to convert it to continuous variable(s) before you can conduct a one-way ANOVA.
