    Caltracs will get rid of the wheel hop. My canyon used to do that but now it's good. plus it will hook up a lot better mine used spin like crazy 1 thru 3rd with a manual trans. Now it spins a little in 2nd but 3rd is good.

    I know the feeling of tiring of dealing with bugs, problems on a project.
    You sticking with it is outstanding.

    Are you still running the factory 7.5" rear end ? I'm doing the same swap on on 1995. It came with the 2.2 and a 4L60E. Can't use the original transmission cause the case is one piece and the bolt pattern is for the 2.2. My new set up is coming out of a 2005 Yukon, using the engine and transmission. Swapping out the 7.5" rear end with a 8.8 , going with 3:42 gears cause the truck is so light. I would use Cal Tracks, you hop those wheels to much and you'll set off your Air bag.

    • @HayesAutoWorx
      @HayesAutoWorx  4 года назад +2

      I'm sticking with the 7.5. I don't feel I am pushing enough power so I figured I'd throw in the posi and I am replacing the shocks and adding 2 in blocks to level the truck out. If it still gives the wheel hop after that I will be adding some cal tracks or similar. If I end up popping the 7.5, I have access to an 8.8 i can swap.

    Dude I build transmissions for a living abd I did not know that connector would snap in 180° out. We just had a Corvette in that was acting wonky with those same codes. Someone had jacked the wiring up so the boss said mo we ain't messing with it. That was worth the price of admission. I liked & will sub just for the good tech info.

      It's why my 04 canyon has a 5 speed manual. No converter no electronics except speedo and it's fun banging gear's.

    Did you update your Front control arms yet?if so what kind , And if so, are the Xtreme controls different part number than stock S10? Or anything I should be aware of..thanks..Nice job on build. Sweet Xtreme.

    Love your truck how do you like the hydroboost vs the stock booster...

    • @HayesAutoWorx
      @HayesAutoWorx  3 года назад

      thanks man! Honestly it is much more responsive and "touchy". I think I'd have been just as happy with the vacuum booster as far as performance goes, but i needed the space that the hydro provides!

      I used a complete direct fit harness from Current Performance for an LS swap. Retains all factory functions. It’s a nice piece, but is a bit pricey.

    what kind of power is it making? do you daily the truck?

    • @HayesAutoWorx
      @HayesAutoWorx  3 года назад

      No idea! Haven’t had it on a dyno. I’d estimate 350-375 ish. Conservatively. I did daily in the summer but have the heater hoses looped so
      she is sitting now that’s it’s cold.
