I'm so glad you're enjoying your collection and finding new ways to enjoy those same items! I need to do more just random palette bingos in my own time cause they help with the creativity. Also, unless you have like a container to put that foundation in it absolutely could be going bad quickly because of the air exposure unfortunately.
@makeupandthemundane randomizing makeup is so fun! And thanks for confirming my suspicions about that foundation. I'm going to try using a wet sponge with it soon to see if that helps. I usually am too lazy to wet my sponges lol!
@beautyandbeyond347 of course! Haha I feel that. Every time I sit down to do my makeup I'm like nooooo I didn't wet my sponge! 😂
I'm also doing a low/no buy this year. I'm not off to a very good start. I have a two NARS foundations I don't love the way it looks on my skin. One is too light, one too dark. I've mix them together to get a better shade match, but I don't like the way my makeup looks after i apply everything else. Right now, I'm trying to mix with different formulations I have, so far I haven't found a good combination. At some point I have to accept that its just a formulation that doesn't work for me. But I find it hard to declutter because I paid so much for them. I want to enjoy my makeup and be excited to use it, these are NOT exciting for me. Anyway, Thank you for sharing your journey so far. You have some good suggestions.
I'm feeling similar about the pretty smart foundation. I can handle it with the Elf but it's heavy with the Laura gellar. I may try a wet sponge next with that combo. Thanks for watching and sharing your journey!
