Honestly I can’t say that I would do much differently…Maybe release the music video a little bit sooner…Having a dedicated PR person might’ve helped too…But in the past that hasn’t always translated to streams, so I think running ads instead was a wise choice. We did run the RUclips ads through BBA and they’ve been great! Hope that helps…thanks again! 🤘🤘
Super inspiring story! I have so many questions about how the song changed from the demo that was sent out...Did @TheFrst have ideas about adding in the other artists or did they leave it up to them? Thanks for sharing the results...great conversation!
@ElectricSol Hey thanks! Good question…So the music was exactly what you hear on the record now. The lyrics and melodies were also written and recorded for them too. In Kellins case, he said he had some ideas and asked if he could try them, and he ended up writing some awesome stuff! Bronnie joined later on, so she sang the lyrics and melodies that I had already written, which is usually how those things work. It’s very unusual for an artist to want to write their own part to it. So you’ve got to make sure you’re writing something that will sound good in their voice/style…hope that helps! 💙
