More then once the border patrol has shot & killed somebody under shady circumstances, the problem is that there is no accountability, it happened under Obama but now that we have a "nationalist" in the white house running the show, they are more emboldened than ever. I feel so bad for that young girl, there is nothing wrong in wanting to seek a better life, not everybody has the money let alone the years it takes to come here legally. They aren't animals, they are people who have families that care for them, they might be breaking a law but they ain't hurting nobody. It's disgusting how so many people are quick to demonize any illegal immigrant & deny them any mercy. If i valued the rule of law over having empathy for my fellow I think i would pause & reflect on that. Even Jesus was a refugee, I'd like to think that had I been given the chance, I would have been one of the those who welcomed them in, instead of shutting the door right in his family's face... to bad not everybody feels that way, we live in selfish & uncaring times these days, there's no love or compassion anymore... If ever

because the concept of borders is a natural concept that developed even in animals. it has it's benefits. covid is a natural event that evoked that natural response. meanwhile globalism, socialism and equality are artificial non sustainable concepts. that's why they were never accomplished in a sustainable fashion, and that's why these concepts fail. cause inequality and tribalism are necessary for the world to remain dynamic and from that push and pull emerges harmony to a degree. if everything is equal, if there is no up or down stream. everything will be static and stagnant which is basically death.

France won the World Cup thanks to the great youth programs in the 1990s to keep a lot of kids, especially migrants, out of trouble. When countries embrace and nurture immigrants to assimilate into the country's culture we see great success stories. When we marginalize large groups that come here as children they feel "left out" and grow apathy to the country their parents brought them to. We're seeing the change in policies towards immigrants in Paris and we're now starting to see them "not care" about a country that doesn't accept them. It's what we're seeing here in the states. A large group of Americans view immigrants as "low class" and act that way towards them. It's how African Americans were viewed in the 70s, the country was de-segregated but most southern white citizens viewed blacks as "low class" so those children grew up with hatred/apathy towards the country.

      They were "born" self-destructive.
      They were "born" without potential.

The real problem with illegal immigration isn’t immigrants, it’s the legal immigration system. With 9 million mixed citizenship households, $7,000 process, 10-20 yr. wait and 60% from visa abuse; walls won’t solve problem. Fix the system, fix the problem
Donald Trump and Republicans need to stop lying to the American people. Democrats don’t want open borders, terrorists are not crossing the southern border and we have a barrier in place already. We need more monitoring security and personnel, not a wall
Democrats already tried to secure border and reform immigration system with S.744. Republicans don’t want to solve illegal immigration. You don’t fix a leaky ship with the passengers inside. Fix Quotas, VISA’s, Refugees, DACA, then you build your wall
Donald Trump is forcefully manufacturing a crisis keeping the government closed with 800,000 workers furloughed. The American people spoke during the mid-term election. We don’t want to pay for a useless wall, we’d rather hire 50,000 teachers
Mitch McConnell used nuclear option to tamper with Supreme Court, ram through 1% tax cut, refused to open the government and obstructed President Obama. He’s up for re-election. If everyone who read this chipped in $5 we’d flip Kentucky ‪#MitchMustGo‬

They love to complain how there are no opportunities in the country but want nothing to do about it,whereas it's instead ripe with opportunity. Indians don't have that capitalism mindset yet and find it easier to slave away for others as long as they get paid . LA is way better than 90% of the world's cities.
Don't confuse your own perception of poverty - with actual poverty. Poverty in wealthy countries is a different kind of problem than the ones in third world countries. In the 3rd world, most people are poor. Doctors and lawyers are poor. City Mayors are poor. Engineers are poor. There is absolute privation there, and many of the social systems that enable for the generation of wealth simply don't exist. People who could be Mark Cuban are selling vegetables out of a stall. It's a colossal huge waste of human potential.
Here the problem is that some subset of the population falls through the cracks of our society. Often times as a result of abuse, mental illness, or medical tragedy.

Why didn’t they define what “Third World” means? 1st world = US, 2nd world = Russia, 3rd World = Countries that initially didn’t side with either the US or Russia, which became contested from the end of WW2 through the 1980’s (in other words, the canvas for the Cold War). The reason why we associate Third World Nations with poverty and “in the process of development” is because they were torn apart by coups, government toppling, and millions of people killed. Guatemala for example, democratically elected a Communist president in the early 50’s, and the US staged a coup and put in place a government that was friendly to Washington. Shit they don’t teach you in school. Without knowing these facts, people easily say “well, why don’t they fix their home country instead of coming here?”

Lui Franco That’s the story of every society that has ever existed man. It’s natural order and always has been. You don’t just freely exist geographically, exerting whatever natural resources that a people stumbles upon, and just sit there claiming it to be yours. Societies must be able to defend a boundary or they are not a society any longer than the point where they are overthrown by another society so that it can provide now for its people. Third world countries are third world countries primarily because they are developed and are dependent on stronger countries, whether you like hearing it or not. If the powers that be wanted any third world country wiped off the planet, they’d do it in less than a week. It’s plain survival of the strongest and predates the Bronze Age which a modern third world country still has not arrived at, to be completely honest. Look, I’ve lived in 2 third world countries before and I took from the people some very special and spiritual perspectives about life. Within the poverty, I saw a more enriched way of living within the natural world and I noticed that most of them were by in large more joyful with so little, than the rest of the greedy ass world is with everything. But the fact of the matter is that underdeveloped nations are underdeveloped by cultural norms and by choice. They are not victims of the evil super countries either, rather they have been protected by them for centuries. The victim narrative doesn’t apply here and although Rogan is a very interesting guy, he’s not a very insightful thinker when it comes to reality.

Fun fact 3rd world country did not neccesarily mean poor country at first.
When the differentiation was first made it was for geopolitical reasons. The first world was basically the west and all its allies, the second world was basically russia and china and all their allies. The third world were just politically non affiliated. In the end this definition has morphed to basically just being the sum of all developing countries
Edit: kind of makes you wonder doesnt it? How come the "politically nonafilliated" nations all (mostly) became poor?

    Reminds me of this parable:
An American investment banker was taking a much-needed vacation in a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. The boat had several large, fresh fish in it.
The investment banker was impressed by the quality of the fish and asked the Mexican how long it took to catch them.
The Mexican replied, “Only a little while.”
The banker then asked why he didn't stay out longer and catch more fish?
The Mexican fisherman replied he had enough to support his family's immediate needs.
The American then asked “But what do you do with the rest of your time?”
The Mexican fisherman replied, “I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siesta with my wife, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine and play guitar with my amigos: I have a full and busy life, señor.”
The investment banker scoffed, “I am an Ivy League MBA, and I could help you. You could spend more time fishing and with the proceeds buy a bigger boat, and with the proceeds from the bigger boat you could buy several boats until eventually you would have a whole fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to the middleman you could sell directly to the processor, eventually opening your own cannery. You could control the product, processing and distribution.”
Then he added, “Of course, you would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City where you would run your growing enterprise.”
The Mexican fisherman asked, “But señor, how long will this all take?”
To which the American replied, “15-20 years.”
“But what then?” asked the Mexican.
The American laughed and said, “That's the best part. When the time is right you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich. You could make millions.”
    “Millions, señor? Then what?”
To which the investment banker replied, “Then you would retire. You could move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos.”
