Grand Theft Auto 5. GTA 5.
GTA 4 is 16 years old today! I don't often dive into older GTA games, but let me know if you like this type of content!
Imo u should make more videos like this if u can/want to because it seems interesting to me to see vids like this
Yepp atleast i do❤❤
Compare gta 4 ragdoll to 6 when it comes out
gta 5 came out in 2013, gta5 IS a old gta game. i say go for it.
Yes it’s awesome it would be cool to maybe see some more GTA 4 videos
IMO, the one thing people overlook the most is CROUCHING.
In IV, you can crouch anytime, anywhere without relying on cover mechanics. In V, they replace crouching with a 'stealth' mode, but we all know how broken their stealth mechanics are.
Nico wouldn't be Russian (that's actually Serbian*) if he couldn't crouch
@@SoofiGaming he's Serbian.
@@gamzillio right. I'll rephrase: slavic :)
The slavic crouch is what I meant but sorry for my ignorance.
@@SoofiGaming no problem :)
Exactly, they gave us a stealth mechanic which gets used twice in the game where it helps you, the mission where you got to repo Jimmys car, and planting bombs on TLAD hideout, i cant think of any other time where that mechanic is even useful
One thing GTA 4 also did better was the paramedics. In GTA 5, even if you just punch someone, once you get the kill effect on the screen, it kills the NPC or enemy every time. When the paramedics arrive they can never save the person and then just leave. In GTA 4 NPCs could actually be revived. Would be kinda cool to see that return based on what injuries are sustained. Also stealth. I’m hoping GTA 6 does something like Watch Dogs because I despise the stealth in GTA 5
GTA 6 with watchdogs movement mechanics will for sure be the best game ever. Would love to see rockstar and Ubisoft work together but that would never happen 😂
The cops would also arrest people instead of just killing them and leaving lol. The NPCs seemed to also do more unique things.
@@datsapaddlin facts. The cops being a lot smarter in GTA 6 does give me hope
@@NaturalHigh21where was that proved? (genuine question)
@@cdothuncho7324 I always wanted the two of them to work together
GTA 4 will always have a place in my heart.
yep same here :)
I think 4 is way better than 5 (in my opinion)
It's the game that made me buy a PS3.
Same here
Yes definitely will
No idea why they downscaled the damage physics when technology was literally advancing, it gave them chances to make it better without ruining performance.
Technology wasn’t advancing. Both games were made on 360 and I would imagine alot of things were cut/diminished to make it even run on there.
@@saucy270 Now gta 6 can have all of those things. Don't mind if its 30 fps.
1 word, scale. With GTA 5 being a much larger game in both map size, and alongside Online being built in the same application, they were restricted by a lot of things and had to cut/make sacrifices especially with that hardware at the time, it's actually impressive GTA 5 even released on the Xb360.
I wouldn't be surprised if the reason for that is to make the game more playable because you wont need to repair your car so often. But still, i liked the physics better in gta 4.
@@saucy270 yea i think the reason why it didn't have the amount of realism just like in gta 4 is cause they made the graphics look better and the bigger map, and the 360/ps3 wouldn't rlly be able to handle it
GTA 4 was better in almost everything, the only issue it had was the lack of customization options.
Honestly, to me, for it to bee a 100%perfe t game would be more reasons for seeking for money. Like buying houses or something. Houses are jyst thrown at you. Earlier gtas had that option
gta 4 is almost worse then everything compared to gta 5 not better
@@raunavyadav9479 No it's not
@@ZachSawyer2077 yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, IV was a lot less superior than you seem convinced
@@10293 Why? In what GTA V is technically superior in terms of gameplay mechanics?
The loading screen music for GTAIV was the best
I like it too but I personally like GTA IV's pause menu theme better
@@ghostbugamingits depressing but so is gta 4 pause menu
@@TheDon_Vito He said gta 4's pause menu theme bro
@@albin703 lmao read it a ls V not IV mb
Gta 4 did Packie Bombs better
3:40 Something that I noticed while playing GTA 4 is that Niko would name the street where he wants to go if you take a taxi. Also, if you listen to the police radio during a pursuit, the police would call out your vehicle and the street you are on. I don’t know how it compares to gta 5 but it something I noticed while playing 4
The same is there in GTA 5 too
@@darkrider3952 its bit more vague in gta 5, franklin/michael/trevor only call the general district name youre in (press z/ dpad down and bottom right it show the name) for taxis and police also does same plus the car type and color
Some cars DO have indicators in GTA V
Yup
All NPCs indicate, but why don't we have the option too?
They didn’t want to waste a controller button on a pointless feature
@@anarchistmaverick9507 that's exactly what I said, it would take two buttons as well because you'd need a right and a left...
@@anarchistmaverick9507 thats very uncharacteristic of rockstar tho, reminder they made the horseballs shrink during cold weather in rdr2
Know what gta 4 did better? Not milking it for over 10 years...
Spot on 👌
At least there’s that if nothing else
Its atleast better than getting a games every year, tbh I rather get an R* game every 5 years since they have 2 studios (makes an rdr game then gta in 10 year cycles, or brubg back midnught club, start other ventures) but tbh the 10+ years of gta online is a relief because I won't have to start from scratch in a new game and I can feel like a criminal boss, if we actually got gta 6 when the first gta 6 videos started becoming popular gta wouldn't even have had finance and felony and would have been a flop of an online mode
They had to milk it, as it was one of the only sources of major income for gta VI
Ledge hanging is a feature I really miss in gta 4 and rdr1
I want to see the street fights from gta 4 to gta 6 tbh because ofc gta 6 going to be realistic
And people said "because ofc GTA V is going to be more realistic" rockstar have learnt people only care about online now. The true fans are still pissed we never got story DLC. The doomsday heist was reused assets for what was supposed to be story. I can imagine it being game like suicide squad where you have to be permanently connected to WiFi to play singleplayer too
@@SweatySheets I said about gta 6 not 5 😡
@@kickupastorm2023 and I said what I said. If people thought GTA 5 was going to be realistic and it wasn't. GTA 6 won't be. Why tf are you so angry for?
@SweatySheets
Yeah but Rockstar gave us RDR2 so....one thing Rockstar dont do is go back in quality, only forward
@@RealEyes-Realise-Real_Lies and look how quickly they forgot about RDR2. Unless they fully abandon GTA V, I don't think it'll be as good as people say. GTA IV had some of the best physics when it came to cars for a GTA game, then V went the arcade driving route
In GTAV some npc's will use indicators, however, it is unfortunately true that an insane amount of Cali drivers just do not signal at all.
thats an accurate depiction of L.A traffic

Even Franklin is disappointed
🤣😂😂

Lol hahajah
I liked the darker more realistic feel to GTA IV. GTA V can look cartoonish at times.
True but alot of that was the difference in locations. NY(Liberty City) and LA(San Andreas) really has those feels in real life.
@@TCthaCrisisnah it doesn't hahahahuh
@@obinator9065 New York does have a more gritty feel than most of LA even though LA can have some rough parts
Cartoonish? Do you even go outside? 💀
@@Hornet049yea lol gta v is all bright and cartoony, even the art style looks goofy. Gta iv resembles more neutral realistic colors in the city
Something i Hate Absolutely HATE about GTA 5 Melee Combat is when you go to knife attack anyone half the time when they are stunned on the ground instead of doing quite knife attacks you just stomp or kick
I was going to say you can knife them but I only remember being able to do that when the person themselves are already dead so my comment is pointless
GTA 4 online had the option to enter a session with no police. I can only dream of something so glorious in GTA 5! There was also an option to hide your blip if another player got within a certain radius of you. That would be a cool option in GTA 5 as well.
In GTA 4, if Niko is armed while stealing a car he will aim the weapon at the driver.
They do the same in V
@@nonstops_aviation not true.
@@jondough9315 yes they do, you probably just play online
@@nonstops_aviation I went back and checked, you were right. Idk why they didn’t include it online
@@jondough9315 lots of the details in V were cut for online unfortunately
7:22 i feel like gta5 gets this one since if we are basing this off of realism then a helicopters rotors could not have the power to just disperse such a heavy amount of water just like that whereas Gta5 only disperses the top of the water
One thing I miss in GTA 4 is being able to push NPCs off ledges by walking into them.
truee
I REALLY miss the gritty, mature vibe of IV. Also the physics are on a whole different level compared to V. Both IV and RDR had amazing and satisfying physics. V's is bland and uninspired
Agreed, the reason I play the game to this day is due to how fun it is to screw around with the physics, not to mention the masterpiece of a story!
GTA 5 was kinda rushed, they spent so long on the map, graphics, and story that when all of that was done they didn't have enough time to add in all these small details and mechanics before their deadline.
They had more not the Hardware for it
every gta seems somewhat rushed esspecially gta sa but i think gta 6 will be the first game where they take all the time they want
I really hope that gta 6 brings back eating and all those other things
I'm sure they will! The people that are scared about that shouldn't be though, it will more likely be if you want to eat you can and it will give you health, and maybe make you gain some weight that's about it. Its not gonna be there in an annoying way.
i want the fighting from gta san andreas back, you could learn different styles, and maybe the fat-muscles back too, that was fun
YES, 4 was decent with fighting, but getting to learn different styles by beating opponents was awesome!
The hotdog vendor literally said, "For me, redheads are the best because they taste like cinnamon."
💀🤣
Wtf 🤣🤣
This vid gave me so much nostalgia i remember staying up till 3 am not ever doing missions but running over people and fighting or stealing npc cars and going to sleep to save the game so much fun memories great video I can see the views popping off
I honestly think Rockstar watered down certain features or removed them because they wanted to please the casual players to get to play 5 and you can say the same thing for online in a way
I think it’s moreso because the game was likely being rushed to come out and was trying to make a way bigger game limited by the Xbox 360. Gotta Remember the game came out in 2012 at the end of the Xbox 360s life cycle
You can see what they did with rdr2 in terms of features like these when they had updated hardware to work with
I think they got a lot of backlash from the maturity of 4. Most gamers don’t want mature games lol it took me 15 years to appreciate 4.
I think it's the opposite, they went for 'realistic physics' in GTAIV which was completely counter to every GTA before it. It always had a cartoonish, arcadey vibe to it. I'd even say they purposely made it that way to make it more 'fun' with strategically placed jumps and landing bonuses, easily exploding cars etc. GTAIV minimised that massively and the game overall felt less fun compared with San Andreas.
That and they took a huge step back with the number of features & vehicles and modes of transport and removed the RPG elements. I know it's remembered fondly by some, but for me GTAIV was a massive disappointment, GTAV has made a bit of ground up in terms of vehicles but compared to what I believed GTA would be after San Andreas, Rockstar have disappointed. GTA6 needs to have much, much more to live up to expectations that are 20years old now.
@@saucy270 It came out towards the end of 2013 but your point still stands.
I'd love to see more content from older GTA games! Your videos are what keep me invested in GTA 5, so seeing you make videos on GTA 4 (my personal fave) would be *chef's kiss*
One of my biggest pet peeves is not having usable food carts in Los Santos. I'm kinda hoping GTA6 has a fight club. As a player that snipes often, I would love the option to lie down and crawl.
The indicators are also used in GTA V but like 20% of the time instead of 90% like in GTA IV
Correction: at 9:41 you can see the white Ubermacht Sentinel is using the indicator (and the Panto), it's a little hard to see, as a lot of indicators in V were made darker/ not as bright, but they are used by NPC's
Yes I've seen them use their turn signals before, it's easier to see from behind them I think
@@Kaal_do_Olaak Yeah, it is harder, especially since some cars do not have indicators in the front. Well they “do” and they emit light at night, but they are not visible.
In gta 5 they made it so not every npc will use inidcators but some do use them
The fighting mechanics in gta IV is great, the fact that you can disarm your opponents in hand to hand combat. Hope to see that in GTA VI
Also able to dial the phone while using the numb pad on the keyboard is awesome. Great video i'll always love gta IV.
there is also friends activities which is better in gta 4 since you unlock benefits if you reach a certain level of how much this friend likes you.
Also there are girlfriends in gta 4 that can also unlock benefits.
gta 4- buys a hotdog says nothing
gta 5 - goes to hotdog stand ) hey how u doing wats up......would u fuk off
In GTA 4, 1v2 street fights can be more challenging, and can result in deadly outcomes. The melee combat for example, strong NPC’s and gang members will swing faster and punch harder and will require better timing to counter their punches, they will also withstand more damage from your own punches and they wont back down from a fight. While weak people like hobos will swing at you slower, their punches are weak, can be easier to dodge, and will back down from the fight quicker.
In GTA 5, 1v2 street fights have very little challenge, and fighting gang members and other strong NPC’s have little variety with how you can fight each other because all the characters in the game have the exact same fighting animations.
I may be bias but GTA 4 was the best GTA. Story was amazing with the main story same with the dlc's. The characters were more memorable. Driving was better. Physics were amazing and fun to mess with, I couldn't stop laughing when ragdolling. More activities In singleplayer. Only reason I don't play It anymore Is because I played It too much and got burnt out, still a 10/10 game when playing singleplayer
Agree. GTASA comes close for me though
@@TheBloopers30 Don't blame you. It's a fantastic game
GTA 4 also had enterable Burger Shot
Hopefully 6 will have better fighting like 4 and RDR2. That first mission with Simion and Michael really got your hopes up that fighting was going to be halfway decent lol
I'm dying on the hill that GTA 4 is better than 5 in pretty much every aspect.
Absolute delusion
@@sellout4102 look at how many features from 4 got either significantly downgraded or straight up removed from 5.
I mean still, gta4 map sucks af, after beating the missions there is nothing to do, it has no wild life not vegetation and its even smaller than gta sa map, the driving physics come down to preference i prefer gta5 driving style cuz its faster and its better to control and really fits the world, gta5 has much more weapons cars collectibles etc... and the story is alot more unique.
Obviously rockstar didnt remove some features for no reason, for example they removed the excessive car damage in gta5 because they added first person mode(which doesnt exist in gta4), where if they had the same car damage system the camera would clip inside if the car because of the dents.
Also dont forget both gta5 and 4 released on the same console generation but still gta5 is much more detailed and its graphics are better
@@BlobAlt I wouldn't say gta 5 is more detailed, in textures and visual fidelity yeah but a lot of the subtle things are better in liberty city than los santos, like the general atmosphere and cycle of the city for example, gta 4 feels more like a living breathing city compared to LS, things function more life like and the map is more interactable. Plus the map size doesn't mean much, gta 4 was smaller than sa, but vastly more dense, even compared to gta 5, things in liberty city are more compact, tight and have a purpose. gta 5 has so much wasted land, all the empty paddocks and desert land with nothing or very few on it. your argument of "nothing to do after beating the game" goes for every gta game, but the game is a sandbox, you make your own fun, there are endless things to do if you have a creative mind. But hey I guess thats why they made multiplayer.. They were both released on the same hardware but at different points of the life span, gta 5 pushed the absolute limits of the xb360 cause of the size of the map alone, gta 4 was just getting started being made when the 360 released, big difference in what they were able to accomplish.
@@Nitroh- soooo? Do you still think gta4 is better in every aspect or do we agree that both games have the pros and cons? No matter what, the only thing im sure of is that gta6 will be legendary because of the experience they gained from both games plus using the latest tech for their game😅.
Another note with the emergency services in GTA 4 is that if Niko is in an area he can't identify (For example, the middle of the ocean) he will say he doesnt know where he is and will call back when he finds some landmarks.
Awesome video, I learned a lot!
1) i like that the cars don’t take to much damage at once. That avoids having to constantly change vehicles in chases.
2) I actually like that there’s not much traffic! keeping in mind trying to evade enemies but can’t cause the roads are full of NPCs.
GTA IV's story was better imo. It felt more impactful and serious.
true 5 basically has no story
For number 5 the reason why the GTA 5 protags don't say their location is because they KNOW the LSPD knows their location. They (and we) know this from experience.
i have a feeling thats the exact reason why we get a wanted level when shooting someone in the middle of nowhere
Heard the reason for that is because they programmed the birds in V to “call the police” like the NPCs do. Stupid design choice imo lol
@@philatio3535 The birds. Would be believable, but there are no birds in Online and you still get wanted level when shooting in the middle of nowhere. So it's not Story Mode exclusive. It's your phone! it's 2013 (Story Mode, the begining of Online)/present day (the rest of Online after the Gunrunning DLC). They simply watch your progress. Niko also had a phone, but that was 2008 or so, creeping on mobile phones wasn't that common, not even within the FIB.
@@Croftice1 Makes sense for sure, didn't really think of it like that til you mentioned it
4:29 Dang that was fast
Happy birthday GTA 4
I am one of the people who really liked the driving physics in gta 4.. Yes I agree that it may have been overkill with the turning and suspension but once you master the skill it feels so good to to skid into a turn and you break and use the hand break at the same time at the right moment it feels really good.. A balance between gta 4 and gta 5 would be ideal
I still play gta4 to this day. What vibes that game had with the music and all ❤
0:34 - That poor cop in the left corner being hit by that car 😭
Thing is, GTA IV has the fine details better than GTA V because essentially they are in the same generation of console (PS3/Xbox360). Because of this, since GTA IV is a smaller game than GTA V (in terms of resources), the IV developers had more headroom to add in such details. But for V, since the game was already so large, they had to cut off such details so that the game remains manageable in terms of resources.
Yes, they could have implemented these details in the next generation consoles (PS4/Xbox one). But the thing is this was a game natively developed for the older generation, then was given a quality of life improvement for the next generation. They could have made the game native to the newer generation (with all these fine details added), and then cut down to run on the older consoles, but then that would have resulted in a delayed launch.
In the meantime, some people wanna hope that GTA VI would get released on PS4/Xbox One.
I don't think PS4 could run GTA VI even at 15fps
I doubt they even imagined the game will do so well on ps4/Xbox 1 that it’ll last years 10 after it came out on there. The game was still barebones online at the time.
I actually saw a car using turn signals in GTA Online, I was just walking by a street intersection and saw it and went "huh, I didn't even know those were in the game."
Something I don't like in GTA V is the exccseive swearing. Swearing isn't the issue, it's the fact that it feels like kids in middle school having a swearing competition.
I think that’s the whole thing they went for. The NCps are ment to seem over the top and childish. It’s just an outright mockery of the people of real life LA
@@jamestaylor3715 That's a good explanation.
I hope they make GTA 6 mega realistic but don’t charge for gas lol
Gta 4 had a good main Character and good villain gta v we need money that's literally why Michael and the main three met franklin met Michael through breaking into his house and then Michael got back in the game by robbing a jewelry store thus reuniting with Trevor like gta 5 but gta 4 has a way more better story
I think the reason for 4 being so much more realistic in so many way was because the story was more realistic so having the world around it have that realism made sense. GTA % is far more outlandish compared to 4 as far as what you do mission wise and such so the more arcadey physics matched that
I just started another play through of GTA IV today and this is a perfect video to give me reasons to play, continue reading minds TGG
Gta 4 is deffo better, Details is important i really hope Rockstar Brings it all back for Gta 6 ..i have no idea how they went downhill with Gta 5
gta IV’s ragdoll and euphoria physics were insane but amazing
They really mastered the street-level, everyday open world moments in IV. I think V was more focused on a big explorable world and planned activities.
I hope in Gta 6 when you crash a car that airbag(s) will deploy
@speakerboy4425 that would be so annoying.
@@Chicken_sandwich52 realistic tho
I remember Car damage for GTA 5 on PS 3 was more severe I remember driving into other cars and the damage was so bad that the tire actually ripped off
yeah they toned it down with the implementation of first person on xbox one and ps4. on ps3 and 360 the cars have roof dents too
The vigilante missions has been around since Vice City. The reason why gta V doesnt have all these benefits is because it was rushed, plain and simple. Honestly people should be glad they took 10 years to make gta 6 so we dont up with yet another downgrade
I tested it in GTA five cops actually defend you in GTA five and they defend you if they’re not in the car
Well, one thing it did worse was the "Roman, want to go bowling?" Calls you'd get. That's annoying ash.
well we get those types of calls in gtao
@@sleepypixie8828idk tho, they're not as annoying. Dave is. That's about it tho
It was funny to me honestly. GTA Online Is the worst though with phone calls
They're definitely annoying if you got them as you were going to a mission, which is usually the case. If there was the option to turn it off or keep it on, I quite like the friends calling you to hang out, it makes a lot of sense instead of you having to call them all the time.
@@UVClipz i meant gta online not story mode. in online whenever im aiming at someone with my sniper franklin calls, and i get sniped instead. i don't wanna know if pooh called you or not franklin keep it to yourself!!!!!
13:00 the reason why the officer helped u isnt because gta4 has that mechanic, its because u were white in gta4 and black in gta5
Haha, no, becausw they dont do it with Michael or Trevor either
Liberty city cops are way nicer than los santos cops
Haven't played GTA 4 yet but interesting that in 4 your basically trying to qualify for a parkour show when manteling onto an object couple inches above you while in 5 it just feels like your going eh and can't even reach 1 inch above or next to them
I smiled at that point where you entered that hallway in the hospital in GTA IV, I remember me and my brother always standing at the end of the hallway just killing officers and swat. Good times, also not to forget the legendary note with all available cheats written on it laying beside you.
GTA 4 made by rockstargames but with a different team.
Rockstar North
Hopefully Rockstar watches this video and puts some GTA 4 mechanics into GTA 6
GTA 4 has one of the best Storyline ❤
I personally would wanna see NFS heat like losing the cops system, they have their radars that they use to track you, if u get out of their radar's radius, they'll search in the direction you went, moreover we could install mods in our cars to reduce their radar's radius
Physics wise, everything. Story wise much deeper and felt gritty, unlike GTA 5 which I never got attached to the story, was just meh. Such a shame they never ported it to newer consoles. I’ll always rate GTA4 higher than 5. Never get bored of exploring the map either. Whereas in GTA 5 there’s the city, and desert. You can go up and down the map and that’s it.
Only thing that kept me playing the GTA5 story mode was the fantastic voice acting. The story itself is meh.
I just want GTA VI to be more realistic that V. V was great but I feel over time it's gotten less realistic, less fun, more grindy, and 100% rockstar has grown more money hungry instead of caring for the average player.
in online the cops will protect you against hostile npcs
They should bring back the talking GPS
More effort and passion were put in GTA 4 than GTA 5.
Not true. I think you're forgetting that GTA V was hardly working on PS3/360 and heaps of things had to be cut. They opted for a bigger map in GTA V at the cost of less features
In terms of a game it's not even comparable, GTA 5 is better. It's just different game design, they probably put a bit more effort into the little things in GTA 4 since it was much easier.
It wasn’t, gta 5 was literally made on a severely outdated console and it’s a miracle it even ran on 360. It was a victim like many other games of the 360. Gta 5 was truly before it’s time.
@@HSSJ2nope GTA 4 is better
In GTA V the molotov cocktail does affect it's surroundings but the light emitted is smaller.
Just like Rockstar even content creators milking GTA 4 and GTA 5 💀 I'M 100% sure all of us know everything at this point.
You are right about the GTA 5 part, though GTA IV isn’t actually really milked as much as you think, and Rockstar actually hasn’t brought up GTA 4 in more than 10 years.
@@Roblocksgaming agreed 👍
Having the helicopter crash and not blow up just made heli crashs into cars a lot of fun
I like that so much
Definitely true. GTA 5 made me feel more anxious, because of this. 4 made me want to steal Choppers, so I can just cause as much havoc as possible. Lol
People always talk about GTA 4 cars feeling more weighty but they feel floaty to me.
Doesn't help that the games both have all sorts of driving assists enabled at all times, assisted braking, traction control, anti-lock brakes, etc.
I just wanna control my car's functionality more, like Forza.
I’ve been playing this game again recently and I’ve noticed, npcs also throw their empty cans out of their window while driving
One thing it definitely did better is the support for story mode and not focusing on the online
The support for the story mode was planned. The success for online changed that and all that content was repurposed for online
@@saucy270 and that's where it gets sad cause they'll keep doing that from now on instead of doing multiple games with well written crime stories they'll do one and focus on the online and make it a saints row like
Tons and tons of missed opportunities in GTA5 since there was so much in GTA4 that was already good and could have been made even better. I hope that GTA6 combines the best of both worlds and makes things more realistic. There is so much in the games that this could really become the best real world simulator type game.
i wish gta 5 was never made so everyone remembers gta 4
Lol the traffic point did not hold up when gta5s traffic looked much better
There were many features and mechanics GTA 4 had that unfortunate didnt make it to GTA V...maybe GTA 6 will bring back features from both
Yeah, gta 5 has a very severe downgrade, even in terms of the features you said. That's why the gta 5 is the most rubbish game of any other gta series. I hope all the features in GTA previously returned in GTA 6, especially in terms of minigames and activities.
@crushupzombie GTA V definitely has better graphics and textures but unfortunately less features. It's a great game but could've been even better
@@Megacooler96_ I don't care about the better graphics, it's useless if the gameplay, features, content and detail are given more downgrade.

i hope the vigilante missions return in gta 6
How did Rockstar mess up so bad...did they just simply forget or overlook everything done right in GTA 4?
It's like they forgot GTA 4 even existed.
lots of stuff had to get removed due to limitations
they didn't mess up so bad like you say, they just went back to what gta was before gta iv, plus the amount of content that was cut to make gta v run on ps3 and xbox 360, the map going from only a city, to a whole city + countryside + mountains, no wonder why content is lacking or the physic is different
@@Rainbow51000 Yep. This! People judge GTA V, compared to IV, but they don't realise, that there's so much difference in the map, so many decisions had to be made to even make the game run on consoles, that were actually in their last breath (PS3 & Xbox 360, that's what the game was developed for originally). And while GTA IV ran on the same generation of consoles, it had a smaller map and focused more on singleplayer (IV had a tiny bit of multiplayer as well, but not that big as GTA Online), while GTA V had a big emphasis on Online, which shared assets with the singleplayer portion. Why is it called Story Mode? Because it's not the main focus of the game, it's a portion of a "2 games in one" package. And R* always planned Online, that's why stuff had to be cut out from Story Mode. Shared assets, bigger map, limitations. Yes, GTA IV had a lot of great things, and features but if GTA V was a pure singleplayer, it could have been far better. It suffered from the Online portion greatly due to sharing assets, being two sides of the same coin basically.
GTA4 had more nonviolent activities to do like bowling. It also had the dating and hang out options.
Gta 4 story was better in my opinion
Fr, GTA v's was boring for me, literally I was playing online more than story mode, not even for exploring the world lol
I wish gta4 was available for the ps4 or ps5. I never play gta 4 due to this reason.
Gta 5 was literally made for the kids. Not even 18+ game its a 8+ game 😂 all i hear is kids on there. Too arcade for me. Gta 4 will always be the best gta for me.
The shoe store proves you wrong
@@FakeK9VRVRno no it doesn’t the online portion of gta is catered to children every car is AWD ffs all because KIDS can’t drive like it’s 17+ so if you can’t do something learn don’t bring the game down for an age group that shouldn’t even be playing
@@Pedro-kd4sm Get 4s rod out of your mouth for a second you're not making any sense
"..and while most players would say they prefer GTA 5" No, most people say they prefer GTA IV.
The fact that you couldn't pick up that brink in GTA5 actually kind of broke my heart. Cause I just finished playing the last of us and I NEEDED to have a brick on me at all times.
Just started playing GTA 4 last week for the first time in 14-15 years. Really wish it could be played on PlayStation 4 or 5, but PC will do.
get the zolikapatch when playing on pc
In 5 years I hope we can see “25 things gta 5 did better than gta 6”
It would have been cool if all three of the main characters had some of these traits, like Franklin could mantle and jump abit further cause he's younger, Trevor has better melee gameplay etc
"My dog is long and hot" is more nostalgic then i would like to admit. 😂
The driving physics in GTA 4 were immaculate
All of those little details are the reason I still play GTA 4 more than 5
Similar to how metal gear solid 4 was missing things that were in MGS2, like glass bottles being smashed realistically. Did game developers get lazy?
