Oh hey there little bean, watcha doing all the way down here?
Omg SO refreshing to see someone use a sketchbook like I do! It’s purely a practical tool for me not a polished finished beautiful thing although I sometimes will flesh things out a bit more. I love other peoples sketchbooks that are like works of art in themselves but I need a place to just idea dump and figure stuff out without fear and it’s just bloody lush to see someone else do the same! Very reassuring. Thanks so much for sharing Sha’an. 😊
"He's taking the wheel!" with log spinning around while parking took me out
I love the messy sketches on your sketchbook. It’s interesting to see the behind the scenes of each projects. I also use mine to plan projects and just sketch random things that inspires me 😄
you know what, flowers ARE fun to draw!!!!
convinced you could turn absolutely anything fun + cute
Two videos in one day?!! We are blessed with content 😍
Yaaaaaaasssss
I love messy sketchbook, it's very refreshing to see. I hope you make this type of video more often
I've always been an artist, but it wasn't till I went to art school in 2012 that I really learned to create and appreciate a journal habit. Now I can't be without one, or more, dictated by my medium needs. Many don't truly know the asset a sketchbook really is for working out ideas. Thanks for showing the true process of an artist, always.
I adored this. Love seeing the thought process. My sketch book is like a dairy. It's not pretty but I do love looking back and seeing what I working on and how I was feeling at the time.
The messy idea planning sketches give the most insight. Keep doing what you are doing.
I totally remember that Log incident and my horror when Rocket started yeeting Log around the steering wheel 😂 also thoroughly enjoyed seeing a sketchbook tour that isn't full of finished pieces. your philosophy around sketchbooks that you've shared in a few vlogs has made me feel less precious about mine 💛💛💛
I loved this sketchbook tour so much. It's always so interesting and inspiring to see the messy, behind-the-finished-paintings sketches. I do both. I have "ugly" sketchbooks for messy sketches, braindumps, thumbnails, etc, and then I have separate ones for more "finished" pieces.
Going back to old sketches and getting to compare them to the finished pieces is the best, i love finding those messy thumbnails in my sketchbooks, knowing what they became in the end
LOG! the best thing I've seen. I audibly laughed so hard in my quiet office just now
Thank you for sharing!
Love seeing a real ‘process’ sketchbook! 🧡
It’s so refreshing to see how you use sketchbooks, similar to me! It’s just a way of scribbling anything and everything and I think social media sometimes puts so much pressure on us to create sketchbooks that are perfect not a way of working out the problems and practicing!!!! Loved this xxx✨
You have no idea how much you’ve made people happy with those two videos in a day! 🤩 Thank you so much! However hard life gets, you are always there to be a motivation and inspiration! Thank you and love you ❤
i like "real" sketchbooks. with a mix of sketches and finished pages :)
I loved the mixture of messy and finished pieces. I like just seeing artists natural working sketchbooks. Loved this sketchbook tour! A lot of very fun, quirky sketches and some really nice finished pieces. Love it!
The part with Log is just 😍🥰 I love that you include those everyday things in these vlogs!
Oh my God, LOG😂🪵I loved this whole sketchbook tour; the messy sketch picture notes ( I do those too. Don’t we all?) all the pretty pages, and the loosey goosey arty bits, all of it! But I gotta say, Log stole the show😅 my own sketchbooks are a mix of scribbly drawing notes, stream of consciousness doodles, finished pieces, and tons of experimental art. So mine are messy and a little pretty and all the stuff in between. I know some people keep messy sketchbooks and finished artwork sketchbooks, which I think is great, but I just keep it all in one. I just feel like that’s more *me* as it’s the way I authentically create and I’m not afraid of sharing the ugly bits along with the more polished pages.
the messy stuff is my fav to watch
although i try to have pretty finished pieces in my notebook i often end up having more scribbly sketches and notes and knowing that your sketchbook is that way too is so lovely, thank you for sharing
LOG!!! What an absolutely magical video within a video!! New to your channel and not only is your journal just so wonderful …but LOG!!!! I’m hooked😊
HAHA re-watching Rocket park with Log on the steering wheel really cracked me up
Two furrylittlepeach videos to watch while I paint!? I feel so spoiled💕😂
So first of all, I LOVED this tour! Whether it was more finished or more messy, it was all so interesting to see! But what's more, it really reinforced to me that a sketchbook can be LITERALLY ANYTHING. I definitely get too precious about my notebooks, and I want to give myself freedom to do as I like. Notes, sketches, play ... it's all good!
honestly I liked seeing both, they were so comforting. knowing the beautiful finished pieces start from charming simple sketches (and then seeing those sketches) is very inspiring. it's reassuring too. it's really lovely having a different point of view of someone's work and then realizing your work has that as well.
I love seeing a combo of rough and complete sketchbooks, that's the kind I like to keep and it's really fun so see people's creative process!!
i loved the messy sketchbook vibe with a mixed of more finished color concepts -- it would be great to see a video where you explore rejected peachtober concepts hehe
As an artist myself I love when other creatives share their process. Sketchbooks of any kind are a huge inspo for most of us. Thank you for sharing yours. And this may be a little nerdy but it is the things that make me feel sparked up: the music track especially during the mountain pages seemed to work magically 💕❤
Lol the “murdery fountain pen test” is very pearl
Love the mix of finished and messy pages. I just like seeing your process and hearing your thoughts on the pages you’ve done. Thanks for inviting us into your sketchbook space. 💌
Sketchbooks like yours make me want to draw so much!!! Thank you for showing your work!
I have both a 'pretty' sketchbook and a scribbly one. The scribbly one is way more practical. Love seeing the beginning of projects in your sketchbook. It's my favourite thing about sketches, how they are the genesis of new works. It's so cool to look back on and see where things began :) Thanks for the vid!
Thanks for sharing! I have 2 sketchbooks. My main sketchbook is for notes, creative classes or ideas, rough sketches, and sometimes more fine tuned work - it's my go to free-for-all. My second sketchbook is for costume ideas, costume and clothing sketches, measurements of myself and those I'm making stuff for, and inspiration.
Absolutely love your work and process and also your colour palettes.
i didnt know that i could love your work more than i already do but WOW! i looooooved this!
I love this one so much! Thx for sharing it! So nice to see other rough "thinking project ideas sketchbook"
Hahaha ommggg this encompasses every artists sketchbook journey. If you deny it your lying
lol Log looked really neat!
great little sketchbook😀
my sketchbooks are usually full of sketches, notes and anything that catches my eye
Most of my sketchbooks are scribbles and play, I don’t really ‘finish’ anything traditionally. As long as I’ve been drawing I’ve been self conscious of my sketchbooks cause everyone’s online always looked so put together, like mini galleries. And that’s great but mine are nothing like that. It was really lovely to see that you use sketchbooks in a similar way, instant confidence boost.
I was SO SELF CONSCIOUS when i started filming - like i kept laughing because its so messy but the comments make me feel good about sharing it! Glad it makes u feel confident! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
i loved this sketchbook tour :) it was fun seeing your messier sketches and more resolved pages. my sketchbook feels like a messy explosion since i will do a lot of word vomiting and sketchy brainstorming and studies for projects and then just random fun sketching too, but i love it that way.
I loved this video. It was very freeing you know... As someone who suffers from crippling perfectionism i find it very difficult to use my sketchbooks like this. But when i see my fav artists/illustrators doing it - its just so cool. Will take this chance to also mention that i live your work. Much love and big hugs to you. Take care🖤🌼
It's nice to see someone who uses a sketch book like me ie. notes too! messy drawings and lots of not finished things! thank you for sharing! ^u^
I love seeing the behind the scenes of finished pieces! Your sketchbook is inspiring. My favorite is seeing the rough sketches. Thanks for sharing with us! 🥰
Loved seeing this part of your process, it's nice to see how you use your sketchbook in different ways.
This is my most favourite sketchbook tour!!! 🧡🧡✨ I love that it is "messy", I enjoyed the thought process behind all your work 💕 Love your passion so much too 😊
i actually prefer to see messy and well-loved sketchbooks like yours or Sophie McPike's than the perfect calarts ones! I always like seeing the thought process and studies and mistakes
Love all your doodles and ur use of color!!
Your sketchbooks and process videos give me so much inspiration ❤ thank you for sharing and showing the final pieces (if any) that they go but also emphasizing that sketchbooks are places to work out ideas and hone skill/play 😍
The drawing at 9:22 is beautiful!!! Love the palette 😍😍
this is the best type of video i love the sketches
I love seeing messy sketchbooks since mine is insanely messy. Seeing the start of projects is very interesting.
the minute i saw the log sketch I KNEW!! this was such a great story, made me laugh a lot (also SO PRECIOUS)! also i looove eyelashes on your faces, it looks very cute! I love how when we go through your sketchbook and i can exactly picture in my heads the vlogs that are linked to the drawings haha!! I feel like a fraud as an artist to not have a sketchbook, its just scary i haven't touched tradi art in so long ywy
Thank you Sha'an for such a generous tour. I loved to see *everything* from the sketches to your insights, final pieces and enthousiasm with your work!
I tend to use my sketchbooks like you do, a bit of everything in the same one, so sometimes it's messy, but I love it! Like you said : a visual brain dump.
On a prompt note : pearl is absolutely gorgeous 💕 I am fascinated by your process!
I really love all the messy stuff cause it shows much more of you as an artist than perfectly neat ones just with perfect drawings. Seeing the part, where the ideas started, sparks a small flame in me to draw, each time i see it. :)
I love seeing your process. My sketchbooks are always more about planning and forming ideas so it was nice to see one that was used in a similar way to mine. Would love to see more of this when you finish your next sketchbook 😊❤
Always would love to see sketchbook tours
I loved the messy stuff!
love seeing the creative process even if it doesn't come out with a final piece. makes my doddles on my class notes seem more productive than they are!
This is inspiring me to do some sketching between projects at work today! I like all the pages-finished, not finished. I especially like pages with lots of ideas on one page. It adds nice visual interest. Thanks for the inspiration! Love from Santa Cruz California 😃🌊
love the messy
it makes me feel better about my messy sketch book
I am in love with these…. I feel soo inspired after seeing it!
What a lovely sketchbook 😊 I love these tours, they’re my favourite type of video!
My sketch books are mostly messy so this made me feel normal 🥰
Loved it 🙂 I've started keeping different sketchbooks for different purposes. One sketchbook is a dumping ground like yours in the video (which I've started liking the look of MORE) and another for fleshed out pieces all in the same size so it looks like a little book 🥺🧡 But honestly I think your rough sketches and thought processes are adorable, love to see it !
This was such a wonderful insight to your work. I actually prefer seeing this type of sketchbook tours, where you see the messy behind the scenes and thought process of the beautiful artwork. Thank you for sharing with us Sha'an
I absolutely love seeing your work and process in no matter what form! You can really see your thought process and ideas forming within these pages :)
what a fun sketchbook!
i really like this sketchbook tour and your sketchbook! it feels so much less pressure and much more accessible! makes me want to sketch more! and just be free in my sketchbooks! 💖
This video made me so happy 🥰
Love seeing everything! the rough sketches, the random and the finished ones
I loved it all!
THE LOG!!!! 💖💖💖💖
I like the mix of unfinished and kinda finished pieces but I am usually more drawn to shape exploration as myself I also do the same with flowers and trees. Also sometimes I would pick one thing and draw it over and over in different shapes and details.
I absolutely love this sketchbook tour! Often I see sketchbook tours that are really pretty and inspiring, but they’re not the way that I use a sketchbook. The way that you use a sketchbook is very similar to how I use it as well. Because I’m a graphic designer, I don’t necessarily sketch all of the time, but I sketch out my ideas, designs, thoughts just like you do! Very cool to see this!
Yay!!!! I feel the same way, of the tours ive seen its all super rendered work so I was a little selfconscious - especially the first third of the sketchbook!
@@furrylittlepeach no girl your good!! Definitely inspired me 😊❤️
This is blessing my eye.
THE STICK INSECT STORY omg LOG and mother TREE sa i'm dead
I love the messy stuff. my sketchbook is not polished. I just draw in India ink, different tones with a brush. I don't try to make my spreads pretty or anything. I sometimes get the impression from RUclips that the only sketchbooks out there are these polished perfect things, even though I know its not reality its in my head. your video made me feel like I was at a friends house with a pencil just looking at stuff. very cool.
loved getting a flip through of your sketchbook, interesting to see your thought process! 💛 I use my sketchbooks for both scribbly doodles and more finished pieces as well. 😊
Firstly, where did you get your yellow knit cardigan at the end? 😍 Also loved this snippet into your process Sha’an! I think seeing the balance of both rough work when ideas pop into your head and you need to get them down quick, combined with seeing when you get excited about an idea and you explore it deeper. Love love love
even though ive seen your rainbow snail painting before, my jaw still dropped when i saw it again. Honestly sha'an, great job!! *calp emoji x1000* ( my emoji keyboard is acting up :( )
also! typo has peanuts mugs, very adorable!
this was amazing!! i just loved hearing your thought process of how the sketches turned into final pieces. this really inspired me because you showed us how you played around with shape, colour, and scale, etc. and incorporated different elements into your world. i really aspire to create my own universe one day too! if you created an online course, i would definitely love to learn from you!
can't go wrong with sketchbook content! your sketchbook is so awesome to look through. i love the planning, the concept sketches, and i love that you take notes as well! i do that and it feels a bit naughty, like it's not commonly-accepted? but seeing you use your sketchbook for a bit of everything is sooooo goooooood. makes mine feel a bit less OOPS and a bit more OOH! :-) xoxo
I loved the sketchbook tour! Your drawings are amazing!
I live for these videos thanks for sharing your sketchbook its so inspiring seeing what others create 😻
So pretty 🖤
You have amazing sketchbook ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Loved it! So similar layout and filling to my sketchbook ❤ mix max
actually crying at "mother tree-sa" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Guess we're in for a treat! ☀️
Hehehe two long videos in one day - hope you have lots of snackies!!!!
slowly catching up on videos and this was such a joy to see!!
Can I ask where your laptop/art bag is from? (The one with all the little pouches on the front). So cute!
Wow Log really made me laugh 😅
loved this, any chance you're planning to reopen your store ?
I love here ❤
my sketchbook is like 75% notes and then the rest is actual sketches because ive noticed just writing the idea is enough and then maybe like a small thumbnail and i do a lot of word maps
My sketchbook is so messy lol with empty pages in random spots 😅 I love the rough sketchbook!
I keep a million messy sketchbooks and like one "nice" one (it's just better paper so I use it more for watercolours and stuff)
curious if you'd ever drop more of the skeleton t-shirts?
