Albania has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 20 times since its debut in 2004. Festivali i Këngës, a long-standing song contest that takes place every year in Albania since 1962, is used to select the country's entrant for that year's Eurovision Song Contest. Albania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in 2004 with Anjeza Shahini placing seventh. It remained the country's highest result in the contest until 2012, when Rona Nishliu finished fifth.

imagine if Albania sent something in Macedonian in their future participations, or why isn't North Macedonia ever sending an entry in Albania's national language since its the second language of that neighbor of Albania
or even Greek since its a minority in Albania as well

In my opinion the most underrated country in Eurovision. Every one of their 16th & 17th places (and there are many, lol) deserved so much better

2006 and 2018 should have won and 2023 used to be my 1st too but now it's my 3rd
One of the best countries, and the top of that is when they sang in Albanian, it's a beautiful language. No wonder 2018 is so good, a rock song in Albanian. I want him to comeback or at least a similar song in 2025

2023 must've been a lot more stacked than I remember for Duje to score so low
I'm so sorry Arilena couldn't perform FFTS for the Pandemic. Even though I prefer Shaj it is still a fantastic entry and maybe the best of '20s so far

They did a huge mistake by translating 2016, 2017 and 2024.

Yes, and if you wanna go with an English song, then compete with a totally different song, as opposed to translating your FiK entry, just like in 2015.

I'm Albanian and I listened to almost all the songs that were taken to Eurovision, I'm shocked at how my country has never won or reached at least the top 3, at this point I think Eurovision is no longer a song contest and that the ranking is based on where you are located geographically. I hope Albania can win at least once in the future.

My opinions about the country in eurovision: The country in Eurovision that most likes the "Female ballads" genre, and as it's a genre that I like, I really like some Albanian entries in this style, But I'm really sad about besa in this year, she competed in an extremely difficult semi-final, I feel like if she had left her song in Albanian she would have gotten more votes from the public, besides she was in a hard semi-final, I'm really curious to see what Albania will bring next year, if it's another female ballad or will they change it.

Albania is definitely the ESC country with the best vocalists of all the competing countries. And I think that Rona Nishliu is the best female vocalist, while Eugent Bushpepa is the best male one. I hope, they'll win someday.

A message for Albania and for Albanians:
When select an entry in Albanian leave it in Albanian,because translation them or revamping in English they lose their charm.I enjoyed very much Fall from the Sky,Sekret,Duje,Zemren n'dore,Ktheju Tokes and many other song for being in Albanian.So
Keep your songs in Albanian,and I hope Besa will release of version of Zemren n'dore in Titan style!

2010 and 2021 weren't bad either, but I agree with your notion.
2012 & 2022 are masterpieces.
Albania 2014 is the prime example of how bad staging and outfits kill an exceptional song with a great performer. Poor Hersi. Her song was one of the best that year and it got completely ruined by the staging. She should have worn a dark outfit like in the music video and moved around instead of just standing on that podium.
2009 only. By far the best they ever sent.
2008 is also extremely cute. Listen to it every now and then
Carry Me in Your Dreams is such an iconic song and Kejsi delivered it perfectly, could have done much much much higher with a good staging. Definitely my favorite from Albania
Albania really needs to stop revamping their songs to English. It doesn’t work in most cases. I’d like to hear the Albanian language more often, it’s a quite interesting language.

It is just for the national contest because for eurovision, it would be the stadium that can host more than 25k people

Ever since 2016. They don’t qualify if their songs in English, but do qualify if their songs in Albanian
I’m a not a fan of Titan. I don’t hate it, I find it meh. It is my least favourite performance in the song contest this year. Also, Besa had 3 different outfits (2 is from her dress rehearsals.)
