I suppose they're basing their opinions on your associations, which is a very simple way of seeing things; I don't see you receiving copious amounts of free figures, neither do I see you kissing the backsides of these corporations. While I might not always agree with your takes, I always find you to be compelling, provocative (in a good way) amusing, authentic, and a good egg. It's good to have you back.
I think that makes sense. They’re announcing too much stuff at once and putting it all into production, causing stuff that should’ve been already released delayed.
If inart dies, so does the hot toys artisan line. It's like when WWE bought WCW, the product suffered when they didn't have to step up to competition and they got lazy.

The AE joker is incredible in hand. I’m 1000% good with HT slowing down announcements and working through backlog and making sure Artisans stay strong. With the continued financial meltdown HT slowing down announcements would be a win-win-win in my mind. Something is bound to break here in 2025.
Also, only Artisan I would have wanted was the Wonder Woman WB 100 if that was even considered an Artisan. Only other one I would consider would be a Thor from the first Thor film. Other than that I really don't have much interest in Artisans.

I should not have to use a hair dryer on the hands every single time I want to swap them. And the likeness isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's good, don't get me wrong. It isn't the perfection I've seen it claimed to be though.

I personally don’t mind longer wait times but at the same time, I’ve given myself till 2027 to completely retire from collecting…hopefully 😅 I’m excited and nervous for the artisan figures I preordered because I know the maintenance is gonna be a pain and I don’t think I’m ready for that. I feel like down the line they’re gonna be doing a bunch of 2.0s in an artisan edition like they did with Anakin and now Winter Soldier. For some figures I think it could be an easy pass and for others it could be a great opportunity if you missed out on the initial version, especially if those figures were released years before you started collecting.

Jack Sparrow is entirely new from the DX17, completely different sculpt just the same expression so that argument doesn’t work - Hot Toys is a larger company so granted they’ll have a larger backlog of pre-orders and they always deliver, even taking 2 years to produce a figure, the usual is 18 months anyway so a 6 month delay is nothing - We have these figures sat in a shelf for years anyway so that’s okay - Inart so far have presented me with tedious issues like hand swapping and head swapping, also I don’t want to touch them 😂 My Paul and Superman have stayed in the same position since I’ve got them, Hot Toys tho I can just pick them up and pose away no problem… Inart tho are like museum masterpieces, quality is far superior 100%, they will improve over time, HT has 20 years on them!

Look Wanda, Anakin and poor Harley, despite the cost they still can't be bothered to use quality materials, and the Jack Sparrow, who *does* use real leather, had his metal swords from previous versions switched for plastic! So really, apart from a limited quantity of rooted head sculpts they need to make, it's business as usual! If not, it might be easier for them as they're making less and charging more, which might also explain how Jack Sparrow and Imposter Joker got released so quickly. Can't wait for your InArt rant lol.

If the price is too good to be true, it probably is. If it's a pre order, DO NOT do that. They come from China so that's normal, but find a trusted place to get it from with buyer protection. Don't get scammed
Well thought out points. I do hope Hot Toys has upped their resources with the artisan line and quality doesn't suffer. Hot toys tend to announce 80 to 90 figures a year, and each takes anywhere from 1,5 to 2 years to release. As long as that window doesn't significantly increase I think collectors will be okay. We will see this year if all the announced artisan like Wanda endgame or Black Widow will be released roughly in their estimated quarter or see significant delays. My guess is the artisan line will be no different than any other release. Some will delay, others like baylan skoll and Iron Man mark 2 2.0 will be early. And overall things will balance out and keep collectors from complaining too much :D
Artisan line needs to just focus on characters with long hair and see if it's worth it. Luke, Spidey, and Moon Knight could've easily been normal releases tbh. Rooted hair on short hair is just a waste of time. Compared to the rest of the line those are at the bottom imo.
My Inart Aragorn arrived with paint missing off the nose and I reached out to my supplier way back in mid September. Now it’s the new year and I still haven’t received an update for a replacement head. I’m not the only one with this issue and I’m not sure why it isn’t being addressed more.
Well, I havent been able to procure any Artisan Hot Toys yet so I can't say. I always miss the window and frankly am not a person who likes to sit and wait, hoping to make it to check out. I'd really have to love the figure to do that and I haven't loved any of the Artisan figures yet. I am intersted to see how they all turn out though.
The other thing about Artisan line or special editions. Is the fact that you can only order it on the cue system, that I will not use for various reasons. I can think of five or six figures that I would have ordered if they hadn't used the cue system. I guess they don't really want that 2000 plus dollars from me. In my opinion the better way to do it, would be a timed release even if it was just one day. Well that's enough of my rant. Good to have you back great video.

What I might be interested though: if any of these companies would create a line of historically accurate line of medieval knights with actually working suits of plate armour (i.e. with moving lames), plus matching battle chargers with the correct horsey conformation (not the usual almost good-looking idea of a horse). No idea how this could be achieved though, as some of these joined-together pieces would really be supertiny. This also requires a ton of research, also the wrong audience.

He cannot do anything else, because he tumbles in his diecast armour even standing on a stand. I tried putting him on a horse, but he is so top-heavy that he slowly slides off to one side. Nice quality to the production of your video. Good job! One disappointing element of the Hot Toys Artisan Line is the reuse of most of the figure elements and the lack of quality materials, but still with a huge price tag. Still to much pleather IMHO.
Delays still not as bad as inart 😂. But I do think these artisans will be hit and miss. The delays aren't a massive deal to me I'm used to that, but I think the anakin delay is due to them trying to make it perfect...we will see...theres a chance it's very underwhelming

I feel like at least half of the Artisan figures announced are just stupid choices and obvious cash grabs. They need to stop with the one off Dark Empire Luke’s and Moonknights and keep it focused on the “definitive” version of characters.

I am also nieve in thinking..maybe just maybe anakin is being delayed to update the outfit to nylon, tweak the hair and just give us something more. If there is anything thata annoying me about Hot Toys its the announcements. Malgus is bad ass but q2 2026...come on why bother announcing this now! Welcome back Keco!

Sculpt is modified on AE Jack, but it's the same outfit, same hat, PLASTIC sword, less accessories... so, like I said, not entirely reworked

On the sales page, the armour just said "metal" and not diecast. It looks really nice - but sadly that is it.

Nice quality to the production of your video. Good job! One disappointing element of the Hot Toys Artisan Line is the reuse of most of the figure elements and the lack of quality materials, but still with a huge price tag. Still to much pleather IMHO.

Delays still not as bad as inart 😂. But I do think these artisans will be hit and miss. The delays aren't a massive deal to me I'm used to that, but I think the anakin delay is due to them trying to make it perfect...we will see...theres a chance it's very underwhelming

Delayed figures have been a problem with hot toys it’s nothing new, just an over reaction from the narrative pushers.
When do too many delays for a niche line disrupt their ability to produce? That's the question I'm asking.
Shit my normal figures are already releasing 3-6 months after they are supposed to come out

I feel like at least half of the Artisan figures announced are just stupid choices and obvious cash grabs.
They need to stop with the one off Dark Empire Luke’s and Moonknights and keep it focused on the “definitive” version of characters.

I will say i was pretty annoyed seeing jack sparrow released before anakin. I am also nieve in thinking..maybe just maybe anakin is being delayed to update the outfit to nylon, tweak the hair and just give us something more. If there is anything thata annoying me about Hot Toys its the announcements. Malgus is bad ass but q2 2026...come on why bother announcing this now!

Furthermore, the use of the term ‘compromising’ seems overly dramatic. While I won’t claim that everything HT produces is flawless, HT’s track record clearly indicates that they have achieved greater success than their so-called competitors. I genuinely believe the Artisan line is poised for success.
