The Stones started very early in 1964, and they were one of the popular bands responsible for taking Rock n' Roll from its roots, and evolving it into the 1970's.
This is one of their masterpieces. 🤙😎
That sax solo is iconic for anyone who listened to Rock in the 70's. 🔥

Mick Taylor or Keith Richards on that guitar riff, I love it. Great choice for a song. This song has the same feel as Stay With Me by Faces. For Years I thought Ronnie Wood was playing both Riffs since he was in both bands but this song is before Ronnie joined. Was only Mick Taylor and Keith Richards on guitar in this song. The end was an impromptu jam that they did once they finished recording. they didn't realize the tape was still running. But they liked it so much they left it in the song.

      Keith's playing the main riffs.

Apparently Mick joining the band marked a turning point for them.

The sax is the late Great Bobby Keys. From Lubbock Texas He was a staple with the stones for years s. Him and Keith shared a birthday and a lot of smack too. Anyhow he also played on Whatever Gets You Through The Night by John Lennon and also toured with Joe Cocker Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour. Rip Bobby. You were one of the many that kept the Stones Rolling. Cheers from Montreal

The main song lasts for two minutes and 43 seconds, after which it transforms into an extended improvisational jam. The entire track was captured in one take, with the jam being a happy accident; the band had assumed the tape machine had been stopped, and were surprised to find the entire session had been captured. Originally they were going to end the song before the jam started, but were so pleased with the jam that they decided to keep it in.

Yeah man! They ain’t the greatest Rock n Roll band for nothing. If you dare… check out their “Hey Negrita “ official promo video with Billy Preston on piano. Or check out their “Stray Cat Blues” song… their filthiest song. Or “Midnight Rambler” the most Stones’ songs of all Stones’ songs. Or “Star Star” another down and dirty one. Son, the Stones live in gutter and your woke brain probably can’t handle their greatness. But listen if you dare.
