- How to apply for KSRTC's Swift Driver Job Vacancy ?
SWIFT is a Govt. company registered under KSRTC for its transport operations. The Swift has various sets of fleets like Volvos, Leylands, Eichers, Tata and Electric buses. The SWIFT buses transports people within Kerala and other states. There a lot of job openings in SWIFT buses and it can be easily applied through online. The process of recruitment is as following:
1. KSRTC Swift management intimates CMD (Center for Management Development) located at Thycadu, Thiruvananthapuram about the number of vacancies for driver cum conductor.
2. CMD advertises the vacancies though leading newspapers and other audio/ visual medias calling up for a written exam, which should be applied online.
3. The selected applicants are then screened for a written test, T test and a Driving test. Each round eliminations will be happen against the test results.
4. Certificate verification is done for the selected candidates and the rank list is prepared by CMD
5. KSRTC Swift management call up the candidates according to the rank list and the selected candidates have to sign an agreement terms & Conditons, then have to submit a cheque of Rs. 30000/- as bond deposit.
6. There are 04 training sessions after the agreement such as driving training (03 days), Conductor training (03) days, Induction management training (02 days) and Electrical training for electric bus drivers.
7. The candidates have to undergo a medical check up arranged by the SWIFT to ensure the candidate is medically fit for the job. The bio chemistry of the candidate, eye testing are being performed in the medical test.
8. Finally the candidates are appointed with uniform and routes under SWIFT.
Benefits of the Driver cum conductor post:
According to the SWIFT agreement, the drivers are enrolled into the payroll as daily basis jobs. Rs. 730/- will be the wages for an 08 hour duty and Rs. 130/- is given as over time bata after 08 hours. There are a lot of incentive scheme for the drivers that they can receive an amount of Rs. 45000/- per month as per their performance. In addition, they will all the privilege's of a KSRTC driver inclduing family pass, medical benefits etc;

ഇന്നലെ ഞാൻ tvm പോകാൻ ഇടയുണ്ടായി. റാന്നി tvm ബസിൽ ആണ് പോയത്. ഇത്ര മനുഷ്യത്തമുള്ള മനുഷ്യർ ഈ കാലത്തും ഒണ്ടല്ലോ എന്ന് ഓർത്തു പോയി. കൊച്ചുകുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ട് അമ്മമാരും മറ്റും കേറിയാൽ ആ ഡ്രൈവർ അവർ ഇരുന്നതിന് ശേഷം മാത്രം വണ്ടി വിടുകയൊള്ളു. അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഒന്ന് പേര് ചോദിക്കണം എന്ന് എനിക്ക് തോന്നി. എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ചോദിച്ചില്ല. റാന്നി cherukolpuzha വഴി പോകുന്ന വണ്ടി ആരുന്നു.
