The only infomercial I watch. Steady streaming sponsors always teasing content.
I know I saw one and saved the link 🤣
Really cool hearing the things you plan to change to make work more efficient. Thanks for sharing. It's making me think about some future changes to my shop
Inspirational. I had to go through the same process. I found that a large shop just let me collect stuff. When I cut my shop space in half, that was the beginning of becoming a better woodworker because I had to make deliberate choices of what I would and would not use and really treat my available space as a commodity to be carefully guarded.
I think you dropped this 👑 (king of shipping container workshop)
Nice Job 👍
Keep up the greatness homie can't wait to see the remix of the workshop stay up and blessed 💙
Thank you!
Super interesting! Thank you for sharing all your thought process behind your design/ Layout 😊
Holy crap what a racket!!! $500/month. They probably paid 1500$ for the container.
No question here, just to say my bet is that you will look back in 2 years at this video and see how far you have gone. My prediction is, with your work ethic and your production level of your video and woodworking you will have a million subscribers. Once that happens you will buy a home and build your dream shop on site. I believe this will come true. Go get it Ben!
I believe it as well. I've only watched two videos and I'm in!
Thank you I really appreciagte it!
I’m always amazed how much you get done in there. No matter what Paul says.
Looking forward to the reveal! As a bit of perspective on how the grass is always greener, though, I think you're better off with a shop away from home. A detached garage gets a lot of pressure from the family to be, well, a garage. I really envy your shipping container shop, tbh. Thanks for inviting us in, and best wishes!
Thank you!
Awesome videos. I’ve been trying to find an economical solution for a shop since funds are tight. You Made me realize I’m not patient or creative enough to use a shipping container for a shop! But I am inspired by your energy and willingness to work with what you have! Good job and thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
I can't believe it's been a year since you moved into the container shop! I for one am super excited for the recycled skateboard shipping container...
I know what's missing in this workshop. The little dawg. I miss him or her.
haha Toby's been at home with my wife sine she's working from home now... you'll see him again!
Very cool dude! Love seeing the evolution of your workspace 🤙🏽
Keep it up. I worked out of many small spaces for years before moving into my dream shop. I think it has helped me be efficient. Love your projects and look forward to seeing more.
Thank you!
Still amazed how much equipment, you get inside that container. Look forward to seeing you're new projects. Peace ✌
Pretty neat use of small space.
Good job. I have a double garage, so about 3x the space and I cut my rails down to 25”.
It’s just not necessary as you can always cut from the opposite side if need be.
But I also have a track saw that I use for breaking down material.
I like your positive energy. You don't have the funds (yet) for your own workshop but you are building your dream with what you have available. That is inspiring to anyone who is trying to live out a dream. Shop looks great.
Thanks!
"Stop asking me to get a 40ft shipping container!" I laughed and immediately hit subscribe 🤣
You're awesome brother, great ideas, shop, projects with plenty of "motivation"..Good on you!! Excellent music!
Keep it up, Cheers!!
Thank you!
Thanks for the update! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Man I miss woodshop class
Me too. 4 years of it in high school. :)
Love the idea of working in a shipping container. Its a great given the circumstances. I can also tell you as someone who lived in California for 30 years and now lives in Texas its not hot in California...
Your level of patience with the prep of all those boards is remarkable. Excellent RUclips channel buddy. I'm definitely hooked.
Thank you!
nice video. .one thing to consider for more storage, if you have a permanent parking spot outside the shipping container you could look at buying a really cheap run down cube truck with a lockable box and keep all your wood and other materials in the back and leave it beside the container.
Awesome! Can't wait to see the progress :D
x3
role model!!!
One of the best examples showing you don't need a massive workshop go be an awesome woodworker like yourself.
Thank you!
Excellent space utilization - Thanks for sharing.
Great Update..thanks Ben.
If you haven't found it by now, you need an icybreeze for an air conditioner. Would work perfectly for you. Costs like $300.
So much inspiring! Love it!
I feel slightly emotional and I had nothing to do with it! Well done Ben, the success is well deserved and then some
Thank you!
That is a lot of shop in a small space. Awesome
Congratulations on a year can't wait to see the updates
Looking good after one year, and some great improvements liked up. Makes me feel guilty bitching about my two-car garage half filled with crap that gets in my way. I just need to buckle down and get serious about organization. Looking forward to what you make in the coming year. Thanks for sharing! Whoooooo!
i have a 40 foot unit myself and am doing some vids on it but i like your shop its compact yet still seem roomy , also mine has a descent echo inside but works ok.
That’s awesome dude !!! Can’t believe how much stuff you got in there !!! Good luck with the remodel, I’m sure it’s going to be bad ass!!!
Keep it up what all you're doing, cheers from Indonesia ✌🏻
Have you considered making a Paulk Compact Bench to set up just outside of your entry doors? I’ve made a few personalized variants of that bench for use with my tool trailer (which is roughly the same size as your container). I can’t tell you how nice it is to set up outside in the summer and not be stuck in a giant metal box. They’re easy to store and easy to set up.
Hi there. You got a new subscriber with this video. Been working out of my shipping container shop for three years now and always on the lookout for anyone or anything that helps make use of the space. Looking forward to seeing more from you. Cheers, D (New Zealander:)
luv ur vids man! You inspire me for tons of DIYs
Glad to hear that!
Yo take that container with you when you hit it big. You know they're portable. .
You should build some pistol handle shotgun stocks rifle stocks stuff like that for a skateboards I think they be super dope
Awesome, need more videos builds with modern furniture ! And prices!
I just got the Jet 10 inch combo...note they do not sell a Shelix Cutter Head for this yet.
Whooooooo!!!! Level Up!!!
Excited to keep following along!
Thanks!
I love it. I’ve a 40footer High bay.
Whoa, I'm in a Woby video! Now I gotta hit up the castle fund, damn!
looking great!!!!!
Вот что значит- желание! Если есть желание, то и в контейнере мастерскую сделаешь!)))👍👍👍
Liked it before I watched it. Wasn't disappointed!
Thanks for the tour! How much space is there between either side of the workshop at average? Is it enough? Would you change nything regarding the "center isle" if you could? Cheers
Keep up the great work man!!!!!!!!
Hey, which dust absorption are you using. Also have a small workshop and looking for a really small one...
Stay pumped 👍🏾 such always inspiring to catch you here on RUclips 😉
Thank you!
Au top j'adore ton travail !
Very nice man!! I hope you get your goal
Congrats and good luck Dude! It's so good to see your progress! Best regards from Brazil.
Thank you!
If you got a 40', everything would fit. And you could put the plywood walls that you like.
Hey man, quick questions from a fellow tiny workshopper - why not utilise the ceiling? It’s where I keep all my lumber and I’d be so screwed without it!
The router is a multitool in my shop but still the table saw and band saw get the most attention.
(Clap) Ok! So, as someone who only had limited time, space and budget, the way you talked about space and budget feels really close to me. I wish I could donate you on Patreon, but as of right now, I'm barely keeping myself alive lol. Stay strong my man!
No worries, thanks man!
Dam you have come so far in a year...!
Great Work
Oh yeah love it man
i cant wait!
Great video Ben! I love it to follow your journey!
Thank you!
@@WobyDesign you're welcome Miss Annie 😊
Title for your next non-talking video, "Okay, So, WOOOOOOOO!!!!!" You really have done a LOT in such a small area and it's very impressive. I am going to be redoing my shop this year. I have a 14x18 building and it just isn't laid out very well.
Your setup is dope! Where's the first aid kit? Having a TQ close by can really come in handy!
Inspiring. thanks for sharing man! cheers from Argentina.
Thanks!
Love your videos, bro! Can’t wait to see the remodel
Thanks man!
We don't even know each other but I'm so proud of you! 👍So stoked for the next videos man!
Thank you!
@WobyDesign do you prefer to be called Woby Design, Woby, or Ben? Also are you going to change over to plywood walls and take out your drywall that part confused me...And WOOOOOOO!!!
Curious. Maybe you can extend the work space a bit with a drop down deck?
"I’ve done commercials for Coke and Pepsi.... All I know is Pepsi paid me most recently ... So: Tastes better." - Chappelle
He should get a 40ft container. That way he would have more space!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....by!!!
I just caught on of your videos....great. I think you got the coolest personality I've seen yet on you too you right up there with sabrano ring maker. And I love what you've done with that shipping container I have a close friend that has a woodworking business he's renting a public space, this is way better.
lift way storage on the ceiling?
How is your container insulated?
Love me some cathartic wooohs
That's an awesome logo!
Thanks!
Keep up the great work eh
So why not the longer containers?! Just curious 😜
When you first started repurposing broken skateboards did you need to get a business license or were you able to sell them at craft fairs or flee market's?
if your gonna re work both sides of the place you might as well grab two sheets of half inch plywood and slap them on over top the drywall or cut the drywall out and place plywood. either way its win win
Yeah!
why not get a 10 ft castle?!
Where in LA is this?
What’s the name of the apron your wearing ?
Where are you getting all those boards, LOL? Been thinking about getting a container myself for a secure shop type building. Of course I'm in middle GA, so I can afford to buy it vs being in CA, don't miss San Diego prices at all.
There is an area you’re not utilizing yet: the ceiling. Perfect for your clamps!
So, why not attach two refrigerated (reefers) high cubes (side by side) and have to have close to what is best for you.
At that point, why not just buy a warehouse?
And yeah i do watch all ur videos .. Specifically the (woooooow)
Nice shop dude. Where do you get all of those skate boards... lol
Im going for a 40' container. Itll be owned but im stuck half hr away from civilization with a gas hog 2500hd... But man if i can wrench and just be left alone... Hell. Yeah.
Your workshop looks great for 1 worker inside and another outside. I imagine it would be very cramped with 2 workers inside your workshop.
Hell yeah! Keep representing for the Asian people!
Massa!❤
