What I like especially about this one is that the clown didn't make any acts of aggression against the cameraman. Even when he lost his mind, body, and soul to the horrible machinations of the Backrooms, he was just... there. When the cameraman knocking over a sign telling him to be quiet, the clown witnessed it, yes, but instead of attacking him or pursuing him in any way, he went in another direction and looked at a flower balloon. He only stood at a distance and watched as the cameraman left the town room. And later, when he emerged from the ball pit, he just sat there.
The clown is truly a tragic character, made more so by how docile he is as an "entity". He didn't ask to be swept into this world of ever-changing, outlandish nightmares. He just wanted to entertain kids and have fun with people, and the Backrooms took everything away from him. Even after he turned into that nightmarish form, he only wanted a friend to spend time with.

@Laven Ram Diro that's partially why I really liked these recent levels so much, in that they play directly into mc's weakness as someone who can't help but be playful. I'd like to think that if the backrooms as a whole had the sort of consciousness to curate rooms specifically to pray upon a person's established traits, this would be a direct response to get MC to lose the composure that has enabled them to survive so long

Can I just say I love our cameraman? The clear irresistible childish temptation to go down a slide at the sight of one is very adorable and unique. This series is one of my most favourites of the backrooms styled found footage videos, the only difference about this series is that it feels less like a very professional videographer (in a good way!) and not like a serious employee taking these videos unlike some of the other videos on RUclips. It feels so much more natural and realistic, the camera movements along with the choices of our cameraman, I mean, if any of us were put into his situation, we’d all take our time and look around at every detail too and try to maintain sanity. Even if maintaining sanity means taking time to enjoy a good slide once in awhile! Cant wait for more!

The sliding and the jumping on the bouncy castle😭.. I know I said it last time, but this shit is so cute. Chased by weird entities, trapped in the backrooms, yet he lets his inner child out.
Anyways, as soon as I saw the "be quiet" sign, I knew something was gonna go wrong. Its like a rule. You dont try to be quiet, youre like a cat, noone can hear you approach. But as soon as you try, you mess up. I thought for sure he was gonna run, when the clown spawned outside the window, but apparently hes smarter than me, didnt do it, so he survived.
Just one thing: there was no reason for you to scare us like that.
    Do it again.

So what I’ve noticed throughout this entire journey is that every level is vastly different, yet connected to each other. Each one has its own unique threats and entities that seem to inhabit the level. Just like real life animals are endemic to a certain area.
The first level, the “lobby” has that violent creature with the many legs and bipedal stature.
The Pool Rooms has that extremely hostile and confirmed fatal creature that floats. What is so unique and ironic with this level and creature is that the poolrooms are generally depicted as calm and much lighter. This version is like a dark, sub level with dark entities.
The grass hallways are probably my favorite room in level of this entire series so far! So majestic and eerily calm. It gives you a false sense of security! The multifaced entity really comes out of nowhere here and seems hostile. As mentioned on the operations board, the APRF members killed one of these creatures but there are multiple individuals as the one that we encountered is another one. It almost seems like it was once human? Altered and disfigured from the back rooms. I also noticed that in Rosemarys room’s, there is some sort of worshiping that is being done for the grassrooms. I wonder what the whole story behind that is about? Could rosemary and lavender have some sort of connection to that level?
The level “motion”, endless suburbs level has the mannequins, who seem to be from this level. Very dangerous as Rosemary warns us about them multiple times. Clearly, not all of them are evil as we obviously have Rosemary here helping us and being our guide. Such a tragic character and really adds a lot of depth to the series!
Rosemarys room is the oddest one so far in my opinion! It still seems to be part of the previous level as like some sort of in between stage! We get a lot of lore about Rosemary and her sister, and plus the jester who was killed.
Then we have the level “fun” here which has the seemingly benevolent clown entity. The clown seems to be only found here, which would make sense. Hell, Luna the jester might even be from this exact same level as well?
Did I interpret anything wrong? I am clearly invested at this point and really looking forward to seeing how this entire story plays out!

    The cameraman: Is quiet.
The cameraman: *sees the sign telling him to be quiet*
    The cameraman: Is quiet stressfully.
I love the detail you put into the environments and the cameraman's movements. Not only is he getting more paranoid, but I got the feeling he was somewhat losing his marbles when he haphazardly kicked the balls around in the ball pit section. I also love how he often peers over things so we can get a new view of what the world looks like beyond what we were meant to see. It makes the spaces feel more real and thought out. It seems like the backrooms, for whatever reason, are struggling to stay together. Not only are some sections corrupted by that flesh entity, but other parts are breaking apart and unfolding. I hope we see more of Rosemary. I found her addition particularly interesting. A solid entry well worth the wait. Still my favourite backrooms series.

I like to think based on the ending (despite my other joke comment) that the clown was actually helping the protagonist to escape. At the end the room is twisting very slowly. Clearly dangerous to let the twisting get to you, but so slowly that there's no real threat. When the protagonist slows down and looks, the twisting speeds up a bit to encourage more running. And at the end the clown is just there watching, seeing the protagonist off. Clown also scares the protagonist into taking a route they might not have otherwise took... the ominous hole that turned out to be a slide into a ballpit, that ultimately ended up being the path to the exit.

  • @trashman7332

Honestly I really like the formula of these episodes. You have an exploration episode thats kind of just LitH's way of showing off his cool liminal space renditions, sometimes with a puzzle or gimmick included.
Then you have the escape segment where the protagonist faces off against the big bad 'boss' of the particular zone / level, having to constantly be on guard and avoid the boss monster before making an escape to get to the next level.
It's overall a really enthralling way of doing things for balancing the environmental horror with action horror, and makes it seem a bit video-game-esque which I really like the idea of.

The merry-go-round room in particular is a bonkers-creative idea that immediately made me imagine all sorts of things about the place. You've really nailed the tension I like in the best Backrooms videos: 'I really want to explore here' vs. 'I would be scared shitless to be trapped here.'

  • @NoxAtlas

While I'm excited that we're going to explore a new territory in the next video, I feel quite sad that the fun room chapter is over. There are so many details, so much atmosphere and nostalgia. It's like there was so much more left to explore.
At least we finally got to see more about "Luna" and I have a theory: Luna and the guy who went insane and left all the notes are the same person, or more precisely: he became Luna. He accidentally ended up in the fun room, wandered around until he lost his mind, blinded himself and jumped into the flesh wire to "embrace it". He became a flesh version of Luna, a puppet controlled by the backrooms.
My guess is that the backrooms are an reality-warping organism that try to absorb every living being that enters them and make them a part of some kind of hivemind. Once they touch the flesh wires they fuse with the backrooms or change in other ways and become hostile entities (as we have already seen in the Eternal suburbia how APRF members fused with the wall). If that's true, this would mean that everything in the backrooms used to be living people and perhaps animals which is really frightening. And that makes me question what's worse: being turned into furniture or becoming an entity that only exists for the purpose to hunt down wanderers. But why is Rosemary the only supernatural entity to oppose its will? Perhaps she used to be a hostile entity but was "neutralized" by the APRF and gained some of her humanity back?

In both this segment and the previous one, the feeling I had is that the protagonist's worst enemy is becoming the protagonist himself. Unlike previous segments, these latest environments didn't feel as threatening in and of themselves - more like "innocuous unless provoked". And as the protagonist gets more paranoid and jumpy, it's more likely that he'll slip and trigger something unfortunate. The ever-presence of oversaturated colours really helped build the sickening atmosphere, like drowning in poisonous liquid sugar. Also, the music - possibly the creepiest ingredient, because by now horror tropes have trained us to expect gore and jumpscares to go hand in hand with mild, happy tunes, or nursery rhymes. But since here nothing gory or scary happens, the tension remains high. The Carousel Room was perhaps my favourite aesthetically. And the floor littered with marbles in the last room before the exit was giving me anxiety because I kept thinking, "If a chase were to suddenly happen here, running and avoiding those marbles would be maddeningly difficult!"
The Anomaly rooms are also very interesting. To me, they always convey the feeling that this strange world isn't perfect and has these destabilised zones. Yet one keeps wondering about their true nature. Are they imperfections? Points of environmental decay? Points of entry/exit that could be used by entities as shortcuts? It's unclear and fascinating.
I think using the captions as 'director's commentary' is a great idea. It makes things easier to follow, and it's nice to have additional information and context straight from the creator as one watches. When I realised that the next segment will be the Liminal Hotel I just squealed *YES!* out loud. I can't wait to see how you're going to present it and what dangers lie ahead.
I can't even begin to imagine the amount of work that goes into creating these segments. Designing the layout of a level, then the look, and then how the protagonist moves in it, where he goes and where he looks. The movement, the camera effects that make the exploration feel weirdly real… I can't but admire all this, and sit in awe. Thanks for your work, keep it up, and a very happy 2023! //Rick

5:00 getting stuck in a slide like this, unable to go backwards or forwards was one of my worst nightmares as a child. honestly makes me wonder, if these slides are accessible from any other location; even though it’s said that they are infinite in both directions, we do see some of them end in “the sun room”.
the sun room itself feels very interesting, all walls are very even and the corners feel highlighted, and it almost looks like it’s situated in some industrial place at 9:54, with the sun being a giant ventilation fan/propeller at the ceiling. or maybe that’s just my weird perception of it.

Truth be told, I have to do a lot of skipping around. I always have to check the entire video ahead of time for jump scares to prepare myself. And yet, I’ll still freak out, have to skip certain parts and go back over it again. As well as putting my hand over my phone screen cause I refuse to watch it on my bigger laptop screen. So inevitably I end up not being able to appreciate all the details I possibly could had I had a higher tolerance to horror
And yet despite my anxiety and need to skip parts that build so much tension to the point where I can’t handle it, I also don’t want to tear my eyes away from the screen. I think what captivated me the most in this level is just the music. My god the eerie, slowed music box lullaby, the way it slowly distorts the deeper the wanderer goes into level FUN. Exceptional. I’m in love
Another thing that’s constant across all parts of your series is the wanderer itself. There’s a surprising amount you can learn about our wanderer just through visual and audio cues is amazing. You can kind of sense his paranoia, when they’re being lulled into a false sense of security. When you can tell they’re trying to take in everything or trying to make sense of things in a place that doesn’t.
Spectacular. It’s spectacular. Even if for most of the video I’m watching from my peripheral vision or watching it through my hands covering the screen cause I’m too pussy to watch it all in full

1st of all this video is one thing: Art. There was less plot this time but the varying, sometimes surreal and very creatively modeled rooms are just artistic. That clown-entity though apparently not aggressive was really creepy. And that strange room (with the familiar courtyard) at the end is indeed a nice cliffhanger for the next episode which I'm looking forward to. Thank you for the very good work. I just watched the previous Play Place episode about a week and a half ago? And my goodness did I fall in love immediately LOL I loved all the colours and music of the video 💖
I love the small hints of personality within the camera man, like him peering over all areas of the room and even sliding down the slides in the previous episode, even in this one I loved the small detail of him slowly getting paranoid thought it was so cute when he was in the ball pit and kicking around the balls and jumping on the castle, to me it looked like his panic died down a bit so the stuff in the room distracted him from what was happening, I find that so cute idk why 😭💖
With the quiet room, whole ass jumpscare when the clown popped up, I was accidently falling for the camera man a bit bc of how cute he is then BOOM goofy clown and my soul flew away, I was even covering my mouth and holding my breath as if I was with him LMAO 💀

Okay so, I have a couple more questions
    1. The levels (or as I Like to call them, environments) are random for each explorer right?
    2. Do certain entities (for example Rosemary) have control over(or "decide") where does the wanderer end up next? Or is it completely randomised and Rosemary can only control her own level and just create the mean of transport and she does not know where he will end up?
Understand If that is something that might be adressed later.

According to backroom lore. The levels are similar but since the place is so huge people enter at different places so it seems randomised.

The backrooms videos on here are often either too scary for me to watch videos on outside of lore analysis or just not interesting to me. This video however tells a story I don’t think I’ve seen before with this concept. I imagine mc was probably either playing at a birthday party or with some friends before they got sent here. The way that this whole area looks so inviting and safe is also so nostalgic. The gentle music in the air is so welcoming. Unlike the usual buzzing or jazz on other levels, it just sounds like a lullaby. A melancholic lullaby to put it better. It sounds like the lost dreams of the children the clown will never be able to see. Wonderful video and thank you for the hard work!

Merry Christmas! I've been following this series for time, been meaning to make a pretty lengthy comment about a few of the episodes entirely but just been putting it off for weeks up until now! And boy do I got a number of things to say, lol. Considering the amount of effort put into crafting the worlds, the characters, and the progression, and the tension it would be a disservice to not comment on it. Maybe just to narrate it a little bit, but really; I do believe it warrants it!
I do wanna leave a gargantuan sized review culminating the entire series, but I think it just may be more important and cleaner to spread out the details throughout the other ones that came before it, so I'll try to keep the things I want to say related to the Levels on hand. Like there's a lot to say about Rosemary & the Grassrooms plus the whole mystery with your version of the Backrooms as a whole, but I'll post it on a previous video haha. Overall, I do love a lot of your atmospheres and environmental set pieces!
Though the one exception I want to make to that is by commenting about the overall progression, what I like is the Protagonist's development in handling the endless labyrinths. By like the events of the grassrooms, he seems to have mastered the "game" of Cat & Mouse, where if he's even glimpsing at something wrong, he's already booking it. Trust nothing, always keep moving, don't make much noise; if he sits still for more than a minute, he's dead. Heck, with all the expanse of liminal spaces and virtually nothing going on, it's like the entities he encounters have to actively hunt him down and he's not falling into many traps. We can barely even see the creatures he's being chased by which helps add to the competence at surviving. Though at the same time I'm still left suspecting he's about to run headlong into something nasty or get caught by it. The first video after all is testament to what happens getting blindsided by the local critter. Heck, by the grassrooms his nerves are basically shot by looking over his shoulder constantly and taking no chances. But it's pretty relative to the environment like given how wide-open Play Palace is in many areas; looking at the ceiling quite a lot as he's expecting something to drop out of the sky rather than teleport behind him. Compared to the previous humanoid entities chasing him, I do say his survivability here was put to the test when the rules to the "game" were just adjusted a little bit.
The Play Palace rooms are probably by far the creepiest of the liminal spaces so far because it was so directly threatening. Keeping true to the whole lot of nothing happening and what makes this place creepy and tense is not just because of the simple childhood fun time environment but because of that very authentic being used in a very unnatural way. The merry go rounds in an otherwise suspiciously empty room, the flickering lights leaving a threatening message, eventually wandering into an eyeless clown corpse... every moment in this 30+ minute long video I was expecting a jumpscare of the eyeless clown creature especially when we have the signs shushing the protagonist and boy did we get it when it spawned outside that window. The build up for it in the previous episode was pretty great. Heck, I'll throw in the ambience music slowly cutting off as the video progressed helped out a lot build that tension too, lol. Always guessing where it is, and when it'll appear, which I believe that was it at the very end warping reality around itself in an effort to suck the protagonist in or slow him down before he gets into a new area it can't reach him in... unless the door being left open lets it wander straight in given something from the level was able to move to the previous one. Or if something else I'm completely missing, haha.
But who knows! XD. There's quite tons of mystery to figure out and discover. Still, thanks for taking me on this trip filled with environmental and action horror mingled into one haha; it's been a really nice tense blast!

The way you handle these videos is actually lovely because you really play around with the nonsensical aspects of the Backrooms, but don't try to use any cheaper gimmicks or entities to make it scary. I had to look up partygoers because I'm more familiar with your videos and people kept mentioning them. Ultimately, I think the balloons or the clown are way more eerie, and your concept feels like a more improved or fleshed-out version, without having to explain why the entities are scary or dangerous. You really have the 'show, don't tell' part down pat, and the only 'tell' is in situations where we really wouldn't know the lore without it. Like the fact that Rosemary's house was somehow hidden, or the little signs with warnings on them.
There's also so much flexibility with how you can do the backrooms environment. From grassy corridors to an empty neighborhood shaped like a cube that becomes a hurricane of buildings.
My brain imagines more open spaces. Docks with a bottomless sea surrounding them and the 'doors' are docked boats, with no real island connecting them. There are no seagulls or evidence of life. Forest boardwalks. An empty zoo.
Just there are so many possibilities with this.

Keep up the work, Can't wait for the next installment and have a happy Christmas and new year.

I love your normal maps you use to render and really appreciate the addition of the ball movements! Little details like that where the cameraman has a tangible impact on the world around him really improve my immersion. Thanks for making this series!

OH MY GOSH I was so curious to see where the next level would be. So glad to see it's going to be "a classic."

LITH is the uncontested king/queen/sovereign of the backrooms, truly without equal, and that goes for any way you wish to judge... graphics, sound, imagination, mood, scene structure, vision, production rate (we get 4 Lith videos for every 1 Kane video), and any other metric you wanna judge backrooms content-creators' CONTENT on... it's clear LITH is #1.

Sometimes I think that people who disappear in the backrooms end up becoming their entities, also depending on what their personality was like. In the case of that clown, who unlike the other similar but clearly hostile entity in Rosemary's mansion, was harmless so he must have been a lonely and sad person when he saw that the visitor wanted to leave, he got angry with him for wanting to leave him alone again in the palace of games, so disappointed and angry at the fleeing intentions of his guest and visitor, the clown kicked him out of there.

I don't think the Clown had any intention to kick the Cameraman out but rather just the opposite since from what I can gather, the Clown was originally a Staff member from one of those children's birthday entertainment establishments from the late 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and possibly even the early 2000s (before the 2008 stock market crash of course) who found himself in this level of the backrooms (since apparently being at any at those establishments creates a huge risk to being no clipped straight to Level FUN/The Play Palace instead of Level 0 like anyone normally would from reality which is also how children often go missing sometimes....) and slowly descended into madness until he came in contact with the wires which is how he became the Clown entity and now has found the cameraman to "play with" or rather as a "playmate" as if he has regressed mentally to a child and him warping reality at the end was really him as if crying out "Don't Leave ME! I Want to Play!" as he attempted to suck the protagonist back in to the play palace before he can escape.

Il love your creativity and imagination. This alternative backroom dimension is the most next to the universally scary feelings and perceptions.
You is not only a developer and programer. You is artist.

I was a little late to this but this is one was awesome! It seems even better quality than the last one, the sound effects have me super immersed and just how eerie everything is. I really didnt expect then to jump in the hole that really got me lol, and love that at the end you showed that one weird popular liminal space.
