It's simply not worth it. I use to ride motorcycles- never this carelessly but looking back, I took more chances than I should have and had some very close calls. I tried to be very safe (no accidents in 25 years) but I was honestly more lucky than good.
The nervous passenger here tried in vain to be a voice of reason. The driver is an insecure, compensating idiot. I have a friend like that- it's a miracle he hasn't gotten hurt or killed someone with his driving- yet. He will do 100mph down a side street- in literally about 6 seconds. Very reckless.
I have another friend who rode his bike like this a year ago. He now sits forever in a hospital bed, in his parents living room.I didn't even know that was a thing. Essentially, no more wife and new son sans some rare, occasional visits but that world/life is essentially over.
He wiped out doing 150mph. Only has one arm that works- will n e v e r walk again. He was brave at first- shockingly so- laughing with EMT's (combination of early hope and a lot of pot) but now (one year out) hope has left the building. The depression demons have taken over hard. There is not enough medical cannabis to keep them at bay. Very sad- young, handsome guy in his 20's. He does not want to be here anymore- he has made that clear. His doctors made it clear that there is no hope for recovery- only a long life of pain and increasing doses of meds with side effects. His doctors won't even take the families phone calls anymore since their check has cleared. His family also crashed that day- mounting debts and unreal stress. Listen up adrenaline junkies (I was one), a few minutes of a rush is not worth it.

I have done this and I have zero regrets. I also play a lot better these days. I have more time to practice!
Update- I saw my friend the other day when the ambulance dropped him off at his mom's house (next door.) He is not doing well and gained about another 50 pounds. Everything hurts him 24/7. Quit while you are way ahead my friend. You can drive very safely and wear full gear and simply not come home one day. Worse yet, you do come home and you are a burden to all of those around you. After that he didn't want any of it and slowed right dowm. I even slowed right down to let him catch up but the more I slowed up the more he backed off. Shame as I wanted to do the same on the next straight and I think he knew it lol. Many fast bikers don't realise that pedestrians and others only see a small dot in the distance, they don't know you're doing 280 kph and will hit them in the next 3 seconds. That's why some cars pull on the main road too even if they see you. They don't expect you to be at their level so quickly.
