I started using ClickUp to remove the "what are we having for dinner" question from my life. Would love to know if you do the same! Each recipe is a task with a checklist for ingredients. When I do my shopping I pull up recipes for the week and go through the checklists to add to my cart. Each recipe is set to recur at a frequency based on how much we like the dish. I set up a calendar view to see our monthly meal plan and with about 50 recipes set as recurring tasks, there aren't any days where I don't know what to cook for dinner. I can't tell you how much of a life changer this has been for me!

I wonder if you can create a database for the ingredients, then roll them up -- From there, maybe you can further automate the shopping list to include only ingredients with active recipes?

@@stjinks Brilliant idea. Probably set as a status or priority level then filter by "Need to Buy" or "High Priority"?

This was great; just what I needed. I only needed a very simple, basic database for family home movies ad you delivered. Thank you.

I'm learning about ClickUp partially because an advocacy group I'm in has started using it, but I'm coming from Notion (for personal use) where I'm happy with storing information in databases on there but not quite as happy with actionability (autocorrect says that's a word so I'll stick with it). So this was intriguing. I currently track anime, video games, Let's Plays of video games, and roller coaster credits (an embarrassingly small list tbh).

Can you do anything with table/task? Could you link this table with maybe watering task/table? So when you click on plant record you can see watering history?
Does ClickUp have any relationship database abilities?

I'm planning a vegetable garden and keeping track of our landscaping - plants and routines. This helps with the database side and my brain can't thank you enough. Do you have any experience gardening and maybe how we can translate this use case and apply?

Hey Diana! Funny you should ask. I know this is a late reply but actually just *this* year, I'm exploring ways to expand this as we're doing some DIY re-landscaping work.
I haven't yet brought the vision to life, but when I do I can certainly share an updated video on it!

Hey Layla! I want to write a program, that triggers a message when a certain value of another external database is reached. Can i link that program to click-up, so when that value its reached, a to-do message is added to click-up? And if it is possible, how do i do it?

I'm not sure how that would work! I would recommend reaching out to ClickUp directly at help@clickup.com so they can walk you through it!
