    Hi,
    first of all, thank you for this video. This is exactly what I was looking for. 😀
    But I have a few questions about it and I hope you can answer them...
    I would use such a dashboard to make it available to customers for a project.
    Questions: I have to invite the customer as a guest, right?
    For this, the customer has to register/login to ClickUp, right?
    Is there any way around this?
    I don't like to "expect" customers to sign up for a tool they may not even want.
    Do you understand what I mean?
    Thanks for your answer! 🙂
    Best regards from Germany.

    • @DaSilvaLife
      @DaSilvaLife  Год назад +1

      Currently, yes you need to add them as a guest and they need to create a login but it is free to them. I understand the concern here and I believe ClickUp is working on public dashboards in the future!

    quick question - do you duplicate and change the client info for each customer? doesn't seem like there is a way to create a dashboard template? Thank you! Super cool video!

    • @DaSilvaLife
      @DaSilvaLife  Год назад +1

      So glad you liked the video!! Yes, I duplicate the template version and then customize it to each client. Currently there is no way to make a dashboard template.

    This seems different now with 3.0. I don't see the public view for dashboards. Or, has it always required a Clickup account?

    • @DaSilvaLife
      @DaSilvaLife  11 месяцев назад +1

      Currently, you have always had to make a ClickUp account in order to view dashboards as a guest. Fingers crossed they do release public dashboards like they have public views! 🤞🏼

    Your 'how to' is really stratightforward to follow - i have a question about the client view - does this disable click through to the tasks in the list and only show the 'top view'? What if there is back end information that is not for client eyes within the task data (e.g. comments, billing info/time tracking etc.) Thanks for helping.

    • @DaSilvaLife
      @DaSilvaLife  8 месяцев назад

      Hey! Yes, you'll need to add your clients as Guests in your Workspace settings, and then tailor specific Views for them to see. You can decide exactly which fields they can view by adjusting the settings in each task under 'Sharing & Permissions.' This way, you ensure they only get the necessary info, keeping sensitive details secure. Hope this helps! 😄

    Love your videos! Just starting to use Click up, these have been so useful! Quick question, when I add a task list to the dashboard I'm seeing all the tabs (subtasks, chart view, etc) . i would definitely prefer to have it simpler like the one you showed to not overwhelm clients. I've tried different settings and re-inviting only to the list, but I can't seem to get it to look like that. Thanks so much in advance!

      So happy you love my videos! 😄 I appreciate your support! So the reason yours looks different is because this is an old video before ClickUp 3.0 Now the 3.0 dashboards have the additional fields and there is currently no way to hide them.

    Thank you for this helpful info! Can a client (as a guest) change statuses, or leave comments on the task itself, directly from the dashboard view? Or do they have to do that from the space itself? TY!

    • @DaSilvaLife
      @DaSilvaLife  Год назад

      They can do it from the dashboard if they are added as a guest to the list itself.

  • @TheCamiel12345

    Would you recommend to create a separate ClickUp workspace for client management that is shared with clients from the Workspace that you have for internal business management? Or combine it all into one?

    • @DaSilvaLife
      @DaSilvaLife  Год назад +2

      I would typically recommend keeping it all one! Just having a different "Space" for client work. This way all of your tasks and notifications are all in one workspace. Also, so you don't have to pay two subscriptions.

    Is is possible to have clients log in and only see a particular list? I just invited myself (a test email) to ClickUp, so that I can try to figure out how to let 'a client' see one particular list, but when I logged in with the invited account, I got access to the entire ClickUp operation, including all clients, boards, document, projects and everything. I definitely can't have that. I was hoping I can just create a list called "support" and then let a client access only that list. That way, they an pop in there and ask questions and it will then basically become a task.

    • @DaSilvaLife
      @DaSilvaLife  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes it is! If you invite them as a GUEST to that one list, then they will only be able to see what is shared with them. I recommend trying this with a personal email first to make sure you do it right. Here is a ClickUp Help Article if you get stuck: help.clickup.com/hc/en-us/articles/6310498173079-Invite-people-to-join-your-Workspace#:~:text=To%20invite%20a%20guest%20to,email%20address%20and%20click%20Invite.

    • @DaSilvaLife

    • @DaSilvaLife
      @DaSilvaLife  Год назад +4

      Right now there is no way to do this, the client must sign up for an account (but it's free because they're your guest). They are currently planning for public dashboards which will then fix that issue! But I am not sure when they will be released.
