The sound design in this movie is amazing. Not just the most obvious parts but even subtle things, like when Bruce goes through the Renewal papers and you can hear the room ambience or the sound of papers. It's really rare in modern movies
Hearing room ambience and the sound of papers as he goes through them, that’s rare? I agree the sound design is great but foley and ambience is mandatory, there’s not much special about your example. A scene i can think of that had great sound design would be the bat mobile reveal before the car chase. The ascending shriek of the engine like a boiling kettle makes the more realistic version of the batmobile feel so much more intimidating than Nolan’s imo.
Both times I’ve seen it were in Dolby. It really is the best way to watch these movies. Matt absolutely nailed it and did our boy justice. Absolutely phenomenal. The opening is the most Batman thing ever.
I saw it three times and even at the third I was still amazed by how good this movie looked, and also the audio design is perfect, not just things like the Batmobile even just basic room ambience or the sound of paper
