i still cannot believe that was colin farrell. i went into the movie knowing he was in it, but not as who, and by the time the credits rolled, i was like "wait wasn't colin supposed to be in this" and then i saw credits and was like, "NO WAY."
Try watching it again and just staring at the Penguin in his scenes. I'm looking right at him, full knowledge it's Farrell and still thinking, "This isn't Farrell. Can't be."
The chemistry between Robert and Zoe is so good, couldn't have picked better actors to portray these two characters who already have insane chemistry in the comics and animated media. I'd love to see their relationship continue to develop in the next film. The villains and actors chosen for this first movie are perfect, at first I was skeptical of Gordon but the actor really nailed down Gordon's behavior when dealing with Batman and their relationship was very well executed, can't wait to see where they go next now that Batman's character grew past his hatred and thirst for revenge and starts to become more of a protector and symbol of hope for the city rather than just another crazy guy in a costume.
Loved the movie, and the whole cast was great, but Colin Farrell really showed his acting chops here. Watching the film, nothing about him looks prosthetic. I don't put much credibility in the politics of acting awards, but his absurd level of talent deserves recognition.
I loved his voice, especially when he was narrating. It sounded very natural, soft and smooth. Never would have thought it was difficult to do. Overrall, the movie was amazing. I could watch it every day and not get tired of it lok

I felt like Paul Dano was channeling a lot of the energy that he put into his character in "Prisoners". Only he was actually the monster that they believed him to be.
the batman has great storytelling , charachter development and smart writing , great acting , great action , great music , great camoes , great cinematography , great detective elements and riddles and new gadgets and technology used by batman , great story arcs good job matt reeves he is one of the best directors working in hollywood . the only bad part was the length of the movie .
I watched the movie yesterday in cinemas and genuinely did *not* recognize Colin Farrell as Penguin. I didn't know he was in the cast and didn't think any of the actor of Penguin except that he was played really well and then, boom, I learn who was behind the makeup all this time. What a movie! Love the cast they enjoy what they do and it shows on camera. That highway chase scene was just incredible everyone at the theater was hyped seeing that. Love they took the detective route and it make sense with Riddler being in the movie. OG batman was known as detective. Can't wait to see what they do with the next movie and that huge reveal (sort of) at the end. Oh boy I'm excited.
If there's especially one thing this movie got right, it was the cast. It has without a doubt the best Penguin, the best riddler and the best catwoman so far ever depicted on the silver screen. But Robert Pattinson might also be the best batman I've seen so far. Micheal Keaton finally had some serious competition.

Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney, Bale and now Pattinson. All are great Batmans, it’s just that the writing, directing and story are has the differences. Tim Burton’s Batman is untouchable, Nolan’s hits different, and now Reeves makes a statement.
Imo it depends on direction,Bale's batman wasn't so dark, although knowing bale, he could have literally pulled it off. Just on the writing, I would have loved to see bale in a dark scripted batman.

The movie was excellent. It’s been awhile since I seen a film that captivated me from start to finish. There was so much realism that I appreciated. Little details like the making of his suit, how he would react from being shot from certain guns, or when he would smash through windows..he didn’t do a superhero pose or anything he just rolled or ate sh*t like a person would irl. Just watched this movie couple days ago, probably my favorite Batman so far, so many scenes where you can freeze the frame and it would be an art piece. Wanted to see more of the Penguins character, but looks like he's getting his own spinoff show so that's definitely something I will be looking out for.

The Riddler was about as scary as the Amazon delivery guy that's about to visit my house today. He was an incompetent idiot.

Just watched this movie couple days ago, probably my favorite Batman so far, so many scenes where you can freeze the frame and it would be an art piece. Wanted to see more of the Penguins character, but looks like he's getting his own spinoff show so that's definitely something I will be looking out for.
