On Saturday 3 & Sunday 4 September, English Heritage catapults Birdoswald Roman Fort back 2000 years. Visitors will witness an almighty battle between the Romans and the Barbarians. They’ll get to walk round their camps, witness Gladiator shows, theatre performances, chariot racing and a lot, lot more besides.
On Saturday, the Roman army will defend Housesteads Roman Fort after hours against another attack! Who will be defeated? Then witness the torch parade as the army parades across Hadrian’s Wall Country.
