Right, I have another theory. Defence only really saves you depending on enemy attack. So that boss on AMR has a attack of 4k, any defence over a certain threshold will give you little to no benefit and then be worth pumping health. So then you need to experiment what that def to atk threshold is. But if you go into guild boss, so there you can try and find what def rating works on what difficulty. I say guild boss as amr only goes to 18 at the moment and you could produce numbers that'll help the progression players only. I've got this idea though gameplay trying GR1/3 17+, As my attack rating wasn't enough to break their defence until I improved my kit.
